This is one of my favorite YMCAs to go to. The best time to go is in the early morning (5am when…read morethey open) or between 1pm and 3:30pm, that is when it's least busy in the weight and cardio area. The best classes are the yoga ones, any aqua one, and the total body conditioning. I think the price of a membership is reasonable because you can go to any YMCA and all of their facilities are clean and have great weight rooms!

I love this Y: so many excellent exercise programs for every level of fitness. My Medicare…read moreAdvantage insurance (United Health Care) pays for my membership, so I give a donation to express my appreciation for the amazing group exercise leaders. They work very hard to help us older adults get fit and stay healthy, AND they are respectful, friendly and responsive . The exercise equipment is almost the same as you would find in very expensive studios, so why pay more for "the same thing?" The front desk staff used to be friendlier (they looked at people as they walked in) and more helpful (they could describe each class). Now they apparently have so much work to do on computers, that looking up at every person would interrupt their work so often that they couldn't accomplish enough. The sound systems in the gym have improved, and I'm glad that the leaders there don't BLARE the music at us. They usually provide music that is "age appropriate" for older adults. I wish that the volume in the upstairs studio were NOT so loud!
