Never. First the RT never checked why I was there. After establishing I was there for a mask fit, we proceeded and found a mask that worked better than the one I had been using. As part of the service we went on to check my machine. She noted everything in the chart was not what was on my machine. Nor was my machine registered with ResMed. She strongly suggested (implied?) that I contact my Dr and get it right. After a very uncomfortable dialogue she FINALLY asked my date of birth. (I had given all that information over the phone when I made the appointment and again when I checked in that day). All along she had been looking at a different patient's chart. She never apologized, all I remember her saying was "we'd better get you in our system). I should've gotten the equipment for free with an apology. read more

ZERO star for the service and lie to customers. They told me the rental fee would be $15 per month for 3 months, then the machine would be mine to keep. 3 months later, they sent the invoice to insurance for $995 and my portion was $176.54 + $105.75 for supplies. Spent few phone calls and talked to the manager, Sonia, who told me to return the supplies and equipment, she would cancel the invoice. I did what she said. A month later, I received the invoice again for $176.54 for February service. They took the machine and supplies and still charged me the money. This company is terrible! My doctor sent them a prescription for CPAP supplies almost 2 months ago and they are just now contacting me. I voiced my frustrations, and they could care less! The hold times on the phone are ridiculous! Instead of helping me they suggested I find another company. I was very nice about it and they were very rude to me! Performance Home Medical is a nightmare. DO NOT get involved with this company. The people in the local offices are very nice, and seem to know what they're doing. Their billing department is another story. Their incompetence is breathtaking, biblical, galactic...truly beyond comprehension. Philips recalled some of their cpaps/bipaps because they were full of a cancer-causing foam. I went through the procedure and got on the list with PHILIPS for a replacement. They estimated about a year to get to me. About 4 months later, I receive a new bipap by delivery. I assumed it was sent by Philips. Turns out PHM decided to send this thing all on their own. It was gigantic. I travel for a living, and it simply couldn't be packed. So I used the old, cancerous one while on the road, and the behemoth at home. Several months later, a new, normal sized replacement arrived from Philips. I went to return the colossus to PHM, and they refused it because they had ALREADY BILLED IT TO MY INSURANCE AS A PURCHASE, not a rental. Without informing me. And wanted several thousand dollars from me as well. GREAT business model: sell someone something that costs thousands because you have their insurance info. I went around and around, and they finally agreed it might not be, strictly speaking, legal what they had done. We agreed I would pay rental charges for the time I had it, and the cost of the supplies (hoses, masks, etc). I asked them to send me a bill. They sent one which included the erroneous sale, like a thousand dollars. I called them again and asked them to correct the bill and re-send it. Here's the thing about PHM: They want to do everything on the phone. I don't want to place orders by phone, and I don't want to give CC information to some rando who calls me. Plus you can't get off the phone in under 15 minutes, with their ID checks and scripted nonsense. I don't want to spend an hour a month doing this. Well, they never sent a corrected bill. They just turned it over to collections. So now I'm dealing with that. It's not like I refused to pay. I just wanted an accurate breakdown of ACTUAL charges, not the ones they made up in their heads. I'm perfectly willing to pay what I owe. Do yourself a favor: if your healthcare provider recommends PHM, ask for a substitute. ANYONE else. read more

A lot of one star reviews. Does that tell you anything ? Companies canned response " We're so sorry" . No they're not. Or they'd fix the problems by now. Referred here for a CPAP. I asked the cost before going any farther. I was told twice $60 on the initial visit the about $9 a month. Got a bill for $168 and the rental fee was over double what they said. They've been in business how long ? They know what the costs are. They just want to get you in the door and then you're stuck I'll pay the rental but use Amazon for any items I need to resupply. By the time they pay someone to mail the statement, record the payment etc, they won't be making much off of me for the next 13 months. I notified my Medicare provider and informed them of the misleading practices also. They'll be looking into it. read more

I would give zero stars if that was an option. Worst customer service. My doctor uses them because they are close, but the don't return phone calls, and don't follow through on faxed orders. I called every day for a week and after many minutes on hold the phone simply disconnects. When I finally did reach them (a full week later) they told me it was my fault they hadn't called, and "you just believe what you want to believe". I called Northwest Medical (located in Puyallup and Renton, but they also have a rep in Olympia who does home visits) and I had my equipment within 24 hours. The rep also called on day two and day four after picking up the equipment to answer questions and offer assistance. Avoid Performance Home Medical!! There are much better and easier alternatives. read more

Billing department is a joke. My CPAP was getting billed thru my insurance but I changed jobs and knew I'd have to pay the remaining balance out of pocket, that's life. Called them to get the balance to pay off my account and the rep said I was at zero balance owing. Let her know that couldn't be correct. She couldn't figure out the balance and said she would have a manager call me back. Crickets on their end for 10 weeks. Just got a call from a collection agency this afternoon. These morons sent me to collections! Their excuse was that they mailed me the payoff info. Went onto my online portal with them and it shows my cell#, my email address and the box was checked to do all correspondence electronically. They didn't bother to call my cell or send me an email, just sent my account straight to collections. Not happy. read more

These guys are awful. They had my order for over three weeks and didn't do anything with it. They were pretty quick to call and get my payment information. If I hadn't called in to check on why it took so long, God knows when I would've gotten the information. Very unprofessional and zero customer service. They are awful. They make you put a card (debt or credit) on file before they will give you an appointment. They will not tell you how much they will charge your card as they have to run it through insurance first. I told them at the time of my appointment that I wanted to be called regarding the amount so I can know when it will hit, and how much it will be. The lady at the counter said she put a note in my file. I got an email (at 10pm on a Friday) telling me that I was to pay 195.00) When I called Monday, they said no note was in my file. I thought it was pretty awful that the email was sent on a Friday at 10pm, and that there was no note on my file. Whenever I call I am on hold for extended periods of time. Regarding my appointment, the woman was rude, uninformative and seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else but working with me. I am actively looking for another provider. read more

if I could give zero stars I would. this company has truly been the absolute worst Durable Medical Equipment provider I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I am a patient advocate as a job and have worked in social work for years and I would NEVER send a patient to this company. Their resupply department and customer service reps don't share the same notes system so no one knows what is going on when you call. They have shipped me the wrong size supplies and then promised to reship the correct size at least 10 times now. that is not an exaggeration. the cherry on top is last week when the CPAP device I had been waiting for was finally in stock, I called to schedule them to ship it to me. The woman I spoke to Danielle told me that they would ship a Luna, I have specified multiple times I was waiting for a resmed 11. She verbally confirmed multiple times that yes, actually, they will ship the device I had been waiting for and that she would escalate the issue of me never receiving the correct mask supplies or replacements and call me back the next day. Surprise, she did not call me back ever. I waited for my new device. Guess what showed up on my doorstep? The Luna I had specifically said I did not want. I have tried to rectify this situation twice now. once with someone named Kelly who said she would ship me the correct device right away and I could return the wrong device to the local office. Then I got a confirmation email for my device setup appointment that Danielle scheduled for me, the one I had made sure Kelly cancelled since I DONT HAVE A DEVICE TO SETUP. So I had to call again to make sure the appointment is cancelled and wait to speak to someone. This person tells me they actually are not shipping me the new device at all. At least she cancelled the appointment for me? Every time I ask to speak to a supervisor I am denied. Every time I am cordial and try to understand these people don't know that I have spoken to MANY people who have not helped me at all or sent me the WRONG things. Every rep I have spoken to has told me a different thing. One person sent me a manila envelope with a random nose pillow to a mask I don't use and a filter for a DIFFERENT cpap I do use. This isnt even every story I have and i've been on their patient roster since December? Anyway, I would absolutely never in my worst nightmare choose to work with this company. It is the worst experience I have EVER had with customer service and patient care. the negligence is appalling and apparent. multiple associates have told me that they cannot keep staff. that is not a surprise to me. do not use this company. run! read more
