I can't say enough good things about Performance Fiberglass. They not only fixed the original issues with our boat flawlessly, but they truly went above and beyond in every sense. What really stood out was John's attention to detail and willingness to help with additional problems that were unplanned based on having a boat. John and his team took their time to sort out issues with our boat trailer lighting, checked out a fuel related issue, and shared a ton of valuable knowledge along the way. It's rare to find a business that is this skilled, honest, and genuinely invested in making sure everything is done right. The quality of their work is outstanding, their communication was clear throughout the process, and their expertise gave us total confidence. Performance Fiberglass gained a lifelong customer and they will be referred to everyone we know! read more

I had a great experience with Performance Fiberglass for fiberglass repairs on my boat. They not only did excellent workmanship, but also handled all the communication with my insurance company, which made the process incredibly smooth. John, my main point of contact, was amazing--always responsive, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to ensure everything was taken care of, even helping coordinate additional details while the boat was at their shop. Highly recommend their services! You get what you pay for and more. read more

I have been coming to Performance Fiberglass for a few years now and have had multiple repairs on three different boats now. I have had a great experience with them and their work is top notch! My first repair was adding in small wooden supports under my flat bottom Schiada to reduce the pressure of the kick board under the deck. John provided good recommendations and this stopped spider webbing from occurring on my deck. My next repair was a hulk crack caused by the trailer (broken bunk). John cut out the false bottom floor to get to the crack and re-enforced the boat from the inside, and reinstalled my false bottom floor. The bottom came out great and I haven't had any problems since. This last repair was cracks through the fiberglass on both back corners of the boat. John was able to reattached the fiberglass and re-enforce it from the inside. As you can see in the photographs he spotted in the orange and you can never tell the cracks were even there. I highly recommend John for all your fiberglass, paint and gel repairs. He is trust worthy and his work speaks for itself. It's very difficult to find an honest and quality fiberglass / paint shop these days and I will definitely be returning for my future repairs. read more

Absolutely the best customer service I have ever had. I had extensive damage to the underneath of the hull and the front of the boat. John color matched the paint perfectly on the front and the hull looks outstanding. He knows so many people in the industry that he was able to recommend an upholstery shop, trailer repair company, and a boat mechanic to take care of the annual service. If you need any fiberglass work, I absolutely recommend Performance Fiberglass. Say hello to John and Art for me! read more

Ok, I found Performance Fiberglass on Yelp and based on the reviews I decided to give them a try. I discovered that Mr. John and his team are extremely passionate and detailed about their work. So, I had them repair an aftermarket side skirt on my vehicle which I later discovered through John that the part was cheaply crafted. Nevertheless, John put his skills to work and made the item look brand new. The job took a bit longer than expected, but I am pleased with the final outcome! Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the side skirt after it was completed prior to having it re-installed. But trust me, I am very picky; it came out better than the original part. read more

Had a negative experience with this place and posted a review about it on Google Reviews. I dont typically leave negative reviews unless I feel like the place really deserves it and for the most part, most places will apologize and try to make it right or at least improve for the future. NOT THIS PLACE. Instead the owner responded that I must have been having a bad day because apparently there is no way that somebody could ever have something negative to say about their business even if I had to wait three weeks for a simple response to an email and the response was basically, "go away". Also, apparently because I have my employee send the email, the guy has no record of my name so I guess I dont exist? Either way, pass. read more

I clipped the dock and damaged my boat. I had no idea where to take it and found John and Performance Fiberglass on Yelp. John communicated clearly and provided a quote. I setup an appointment and brought the boat in and they did not disappoint. The work was amazing and the turn around was very quick! John and crew got my boat looking like the accident ever happened and I am back out on the water! I highly recommend this shop and my boat will only be going to this shop if I were to need additional repairs in the future! read more

I am very pleased with Performance Fiberglass' exceptional work and customer service. It's certainly an uneasy feeling when you're looking for the right places to get any work done for the first time. John and Art made it that much easier for me. John and Art are the best of the best. When it comes to any industry where someone decides to monetize their craftsmanship you end up paying for the years of experience the person has. There will always be someone cheaper than the cheapest person you find but the price comes at a cost. I realized there are two different type of shops, the do it once do it right shop, and the do it once learn your lesson and do it again shops. Performance Fiberglass is the do it right once shop. From service to craftsmanship PF is the place you need to go if you want the best of both. read more

If I could give this place and John more than 5 stars I would. We had a bit of an incident with a jetski and John took us in and not only stuck true to his word on the timeline, but to his estimate. Honestly, there are so many places you take a car too or something that needs repair and gives you the estimate but at the end of the job, the price is so much higher than the original quote. John was just amazing. Communication was amazing, his explanations of what he's looking at were clear and he kept true to his pricing. He also helped out with some other things when he didn't need too. I cannot brag enough about Performance Fiberglass. Even though it's a bit of a drive from the valley, I would gladly do it all over again to have him work on any watercraft I have. Thank you John and your team for all of the hard work and for going above and beyond. Zuly and Tiffany read more

Let me start off by this IM A REAL PERSON LEAVING A REAL HONEST REVIEW AND WANT TO HELP YOU GUYS MAKE THE BEST DECISION. This review comes out of passion for the way I was treated as a customer at Preformance Fiberglass. Simply put, Preformance Fiber Glass in La Habra is one of the best if not THE best fiberglass businesses around. Now here's why... read below I was having a fun weekend in Havasu Arizona on a pair of Sea-Doos I borrowed from a friend... long story short, the side rail on One of the skis had got damaged and cracked through the fiberglass and chipped away the gel coat, it pretty much put a whole downer on the rest of the weekend. Anyways I come home and now it's time to fix them. I called about 25 different places around me, this is NO EXAGGERATION trying to find the best place with best customer service and best pricing available as I didn't want to spend a fortune fixing something that's not even mine. After speaking to roughly 25 different companies, who off the bat I did not get a good vibe from with the way some of these businesses answered their phone calls (I am a business owner and can appreciate when other businesses have proper etiquette when picking the phone up), John at preformance fiberglass was more than pleasant to first greet me with a nice tone but to further genuinely help me out and try to help figure out how we can get this fixed and what's going on. After having called all these different places Preformance Fiber Glass stuck out to me because of their awesome customer service (and willingness to deal with my crazy 2 day time constraint and squeeze me in since I had to have these skis back before the weekend and brought them in on a Tuesday) and best pricing i had received. Upon first meeting them, The performance crew are really some cool genuine people. They really make you feel welcomed and are very friendly and quite funny. I told them I had to have it done within a couple of days when everybody else gave me minimum 1-2 week wait times and they had it done two days later. THESE PEOPLE WILL REALLY WORK WITH YOU AND WILL HOOK YOU UP. PICKING THE SKIS UP NOW I brought back the trailer to pick up the fixed ski and it looked better than before, it was washed and cleaned up very nice for me upon pick up and the damage was invisible and flawlessly fixed AND they even noticed I had a taillight hanging broken from the trailer they proceeded to just fix it for free no cost within minutes, was very appreciative for that and them going above and beyond when they didn't have to. I hope after reading my experience you guys can give it no further thought than to take your business to preformance fiber glass wether it's sea doo repair or boat repair or whatever your need is, I can vouch they do AWESOME business and work. Sincerely, Aaron Loy Thank you Preformance fiberglass for your guys awesome business!! Will be sure to spread the word. read more

My boat was damaged in a storm while docked in Big Bear Lake. John and Art towed the boat down to their shop. It's not easy to get help these days and while the boat was deemed a total loss by insurance I'm appreciative of their efforts in both towing the boat down and providing a repair estimate for insurance. read more

Called John in the morning with an issue I was having with the electrical on my trailer. He told me to swing by after work so he could diagnose the issue in person. It ended up being a minor issue and he got it fixed within 20 minutes of me showing up. Even took the time to talk me through the issue and showed me how to fix the problem moving forward. Would definitely recommend giving Performance Fiberglass a call. read more

This is the second time I've visited performance fiberglass and I was happy again! John and Art are 2 good guys as well as the rest of the guys that work there. First time I brought my boat in to get a hole in the transom filled and repaired. After picking it up, I checked out their work and was blown away, I couldn't even tell there has a hole there to begin with, such great work! On my second visit, I brought my boat in because it was sitting on the wheel wells and I was concerned the gel coat and possibly the fiberglass was damaged. I asked them if they would be able to raise the bunks which John said no problem. After checking out the boat, there was no damage, and then raised the bunks on my trailer for a reasonable price. They also went out of their way to do an adjustment to my wench, doesn't sound like much but it is. It just proves what a great shop this is and they take care of their customers. I think the prices are reasonable because you will get high caliber work that is worth it and will last. I'm glad I was refereed to this shop to get work done and I make sure to let people know; if you need excellent fiberglass repair, you MUST go to performance fiberglass. read more

John and co. at Performance Fiberglass were awesome, an absolute pleasure to work with. I work for a large GC finishing up a $130+MM apartment complex where we had large custom fiberglass planters installed throughout the amenity spaces. A handful of these did not fit in their designated openings and Performance Fiberglass saved the day. John came to the project, picked up, measured, fixed these big planters and had them returned in less than a week! When no one else could meet our schedule and budget Performance Fiberglass was able to get us out of the hole. Any time I've got fiberglass work in the future they will be my first call! Thanks guys! read more

I had the bottom of my boat re-fiberglassed and a keel guard added. It turned out amazing. I also had a chip in our sink and they were able to fix that and make it not noticeable. I am very pleased with their work and dedication to doing great work!! Would highly recommend their work. read more

These guys are great. They help me get a ski that was wrecked back into shape and looking better than before.

These two guys are perfectionists!!!! After one year of getting my hull repaired by Performance Fiberglass it's still better than new. No hairline cracks, paint better than new. Quick turn around, no overspray, no shop scratches. These guys are all professional. I would recommend John and Art in a heartbeat. Performance Fiberglass has been taking care of my Jet ski repairs for the last 5 years. I trust no one else but these guys because they use the right materials and finish everything to perfection with a lifetime guarantee. I beat up my skis pretty bad and John keeps them together by using the best epoxies/ polyester resins available along with the right materials. I have seen his repair work on other things such as boats other Jet skis and fiberglass car body parts and it is nothing less that flawless. I have seen him finish a section of a jet ski and there was a small defect in his painting something any one else would have shrugged off but John sands the entire thing down and makes sure that it is right. Countless repairs leave that place with customers including myself asking where it was repaired in the first place. From Repairs to paint work John at Performance Fiberglass is the person to see. Especially being the cheapest labor rate in town at 85 Dollars and hour with a Life time warranty. My insurance company loves these guys because they are killer on their quotes and completely realistic for their time and expertise. Thank you Performance Fiberglass! read more

This is my first review on Yelp, but I was so impressed with John's service at Performance Fiberglass I felt obligated to give John his due. My Yamaha Waverinners sustained some damage after hitting some rocks. I initially took my Waverunner to Bert's where I bought the Waverunner. After leaving the Waverunner at Bert's for 10 days, they still had not been able to give me an estimate due to their "gelcoat" person being out due to COVID. After reading the reviews on Performance Fiberglass, i called Performance Fiberglass even though it was 70 miles away (I live in Thousand Oaks). I brought down my Waverunner to Performance Fiberglass the next day and John immediately lifted the ski off the trailer to inspect the damage and found some damage that wasn't readily apparent at Bert's. John also adjusted my trailer board where the ski was sitting. John emailed me the estimate the next day which I submitted to Geico ins. It took Geico 3 weeks to review my claim, but John at Performance was patient and said that all insurance claims were being delayed due to COVID. When Geico finally gave the approval for the claim I'm sure it was partly due to John's thorough submitted estimate (the damage was extensive $7,100) John started the repairs immediately and had the ski ready when promised (actually one day before.) The Waverunner looks brand new and was running great at Big Bear Lake the following day I picked it up. Thank you John! Sorry about the long review but it's my first. read more

John and his team are professional, responsive, and very good at what they do. Most importantly, they stand behind their work. The first thing to realize is that fiberglass repair is not cheap. I was shocked at the price. However, I shopped around, and even though I found prices from individuals (not full repair shops like John's) that were a thousand dollars less for the repairs we needed, we opted to go with John and I'm very glad that we did. The finished work is flawless, and when I noticed that some spots on a different area which had also been chipped (from the prior owners of our boat) weren't touched up, John took care of it for free -- even though I came back in nearly 9 months after the original repair and even though it apparently wasn't part of the initial estimate (I had mis-understood what parts of the boat are and are not included in the repair.) We also had John install two fishing pole holders as well as a detachable BBQ on the rear of our 24ft jet ski boat -- I saw that installing these on the boat was not easy because of its design, but they did a perfect job, and now all our friends whom we tae on the boat can't believe how great the boat looks -- you can not tell that it has ever had work done on it, as the repairs are perfectly blended with the existing hull coat. I also like that John is specialized, and he is up front about not wanting to take on additional work that isn't their focus (such as engine repairs, etc). Performance Fiberglass may not be the cheapest fiberglass repair shop around, but I have no doubt that their work is excellent and would strongly recommend them to others. Tips: 1. Note that repairs can take a long time (several weeks, after a potential wait of several weeks because they are so busy), so talk with John before coming by with your boat. 2. Be sure you clearly understand exactly which areas are included in the repair estimate. read more

I was referred to Performance Fiberglass by a family member, which is always a dicey situation, but could not have been more pleased with the outcome. John and his staff are a nice combination of approachable and professional. I explained my vision, they understood and implemented perfectly. I knew I wanted a great job done, but apparently my idea of "great" was their idea of "okay". They went above and beyond to match the paint, erase any flaws and provide an unbelievable result. Going through the ski for the up-coming season I again saw why these guys are the best! The repairs are still in perfect condition, even if I'm not. This is the first time I've every writeen a review because Performance Fiberglass deserves it!--They're whole operation is excellent--the workmanship, pricing, and delivery time! I got hit by a drunk driver and the whole left side and bottom of my boat was damaged. In fact, the bottom had a big gash in it. The thing is Performance Fiberglass (aka John Crabb, the owner) took care of me from beginning to end! He pointed me in the right direction to handle my boat claim with the insurance company to the delivery of my "new looking" boat.
