This was my first time using Berto's Detailing, and I understand why they have such strong ratings…read more I brought in our white car after it had been covered in dried, sticky berries from a tree. The residue was extremely difficult to remove, and the car had not been fully detailed in about two years. For a quoted price of $250, Berto's team removed all the hardened berry buildup from the roof and completed a full interior and exterior detail. The results were excellent and well worth the price. During my inspection, which Berto personally asked to observe to ensure I was satisfied, I noticed a section of white paint (approximately 2 x 3 cm) on the roof had been accidentally lifted during the berry removal, exposing the black layer underneath. It was clear they had tried to paint over it with white paint to make it less noticeable, but it was at risk for further peeling and a drop of the white paint had dripped onto the surrounding black trim. Berto immediately asked how he could make it right. He handled it professionally. He made the detailing complimentary, took the car to his auto body shop, matched the paint using the VIN, and fully repainted the affected top panel. The repair took two days and was generously scheduled around our work commute. He also offered to pay for a rental car, though we did not need one. Given the condition of the car and how long the berries had been left on, I recognize the job was unusually challenging. What stands out is that Berto took full responsibility and corrected the issue completely. I would return and recommend his team without hesitation.

Never received a call. I called again and was told to bring it in first thing Thursday, so I arrived at 10am and no one knew anything. I called the owner and let him know he said he would communicate to his team and I also inquired about a error code I am getting for my left low light/high beam that has been there since I purchased the vehicle even after changing out the light bulbs, and was told again he would communicate to his team and have them check it out. I then let the guys in the shop about the detailing. I tried to ask the tech about bringing in my other vehicles for oil changes and again no information other than there hourly rate. Once the office was opened around 10:15 I was asked the same information I gave the tech about my vehicles I wanted oil changes on and he proceeded to leave it with the same tech to give me a quote. I am literally jumping through hoops trying to get information to spend money with this dealership and now will most certainly not return. Oh and the owner pulled up as I was waiting for an answer regarding checking the light and not a care in the world he walked right passed me without even acknowledging me. I was then told to come back when I have an appointment for a diagnosis. It makes sense how his staff is acting if that's the vibe he carries around. So all in all very poor customer service.

Most of the jobs were for full PPF + ceramic coating of new vehicles, but they've also performed a couple of non-PPF paint correction, detailing, and ceramic coating work on well-used vehicles not eligible for PPF. In all cases, California Detailing produced fantastic results that made the new cars look better than they were at dealer delivery and the well-used vehicles look as close to new as possible. For vehicles that we've subsequently sold, California Detailing's attentive work helped protect their resale value. Even when we don't have big jobs pending, we drop by their shop a few times a year for installation inspections and touch-ups (no charge during PPF or ceramic coating warranty period). In addition to being skilled professionals, California Detailing also have great customer service that easily makes my family and me feel at home during our visits.
