We have a 2009 Chevy Silverado that had a starting issue for the very first time last month. A friend recommended Sonny to us, at Performance Auto in Victor. My husband took the truck into them and Sonny said they would look at it that day and get back to us in a few hours. Sonny even drove my husband home. About 5 hours later Sonny called to say they couldn't find a starting issue at all, and they looked long and hard for any and all problems. Sonny told us that the fuel filter was about due to be replaced and the water pump was leaking and it really needed to be replaced. We had had a dealership tell us about the water pump several months previously. Sonny said they would put a new water pump in for about $350 less than the 2 dealerships I had called had quoted. He also said that he wouldn't charge us for the 4 hours it took them to look for the starting issue and he would also throw in the fuel filter, the part and labor, for free. They had the truck for 2 days and it now runs great. Upon changing the fuel filter, they had found a loose sensor that had allowed an air leak and a subsequent "vapor lock' of the fuel flow that had been the starting issue. We no longer have a water leak or a starting issue. We found Sonny to be honest, straightforward and very easy to work with. Both my husband and I highly recommend Performance Auto for all your auto repairs. read more
