I was booked in for a bikini wax and my receptionist kindly welcomed me and asked me to fill out a new visitors form; collecting name, phone number, email address, any allergies I may have or medication I may be taking. My wax got under way, and I had a nice chat with the attendant, was all completed in less than twenty minutes. The wax had minimal pain, and was professional and neat. I was given lovely soothing lotion to apply to the area and felt ready for the beach. They sell beautiful Ecoya Candles which I could smell burning at the reception desk. The atmosphere is very relaxed which allows for a very enjoyable experience. I probably should be writing this in such a public forum, but I've now visited Terra Nova for massage, facials, waxing, IPL, specialist skin treatments and have always been extremely happy with the results. The prices are reasonable and they do a great job of looking after their existing clients.

I was seeing one girl for a while, but then I swapped because she wasn't available one day. I'm not particularly loyal to any particular beauty therapist, but they are both nice. I've had a facial there a couple of times, it's been good. I kind of how they try and up-sell you at the end though. That sucks. It's like, "hey man, I've already spent $115 for on you cleaning my face and now you tell me I don't drink enough water and I need some kind of special moisturiser?!"

The premises are really cool, functional without being too fussy like some beauty salons, with some awesome arty feature walls. This is primarily an eyelash bar which does tanning and makeup sessions as additional extras but well, and th prices are not to be sniffed at! This girl walked out a happy customer anyway.

The service is always welcoming and professional, and I love how easy and stress-free the whole experience is. They have a great setup with plenty of beds and stand-ups always available, plus the biggest range of tanning creams I've seen. I also really appreciate that they keep track of your session history and what products you've used before - it makes each visit smooth and personalised. One of the things I love most is that you don't have to book. You can just turn up whenever it suits you, hop in for a session, and you're good to go.
