I spoke with Johnny, one of the owners, and he was prompt, direct, and came to the house that day, got on the roof, and did his assessment. Based on the results and him telling me that I did, in fact need a new roof, I engaged Astro to put mine in the schedule. It really was mind blowing how straight forward and honest the entire process was. They stayed in prompt communication and got the old roof demo'd and the new roof installed, in 2 days and it looks great. The original estimate that Johnny provided was the final bill, even though he told me ahead of time that once they got the old roof off, there might be undetected damage below which would increase the price but that wasn't the case. You know, living in a hurricane state, there are tons of disreputable contractors out there including in the roofing business, but Astro was amazing and they get my highest reviews for everything! Thanks Johnny and Astro Roofing!!!

On the advice of a long time friend, I hired R/J Group and Zeke Clark to take care of a relatively big job - whole house, carport and 80ft breezeway. Daily clean-ups took place, care to tarp all areas affected - lawn, plants, pool equipment, etc. I could not be happier and will look forward to working with same company and crew next year to do the guest house roof.

He said that he was his boss supervising him for the day. They inspected for about 45 mins and then worked in their vehicle for about 20 minutes to prepare the estimate. That's where things went south. He spent 20 mins showing videos of his company and how great they were, showing their various products etc before providing the estimate. Then when he presented the estimate it was $4000 more for shingles than two other local companies we had gotten and twice as expensive for metal than the other companies. When I ask for a roof quote that is what I want. The other two companies I got quotes from came out inspected and provided quotes. I did not need to be here. I don't want to be "sold" on roofing.

Where should I start? Trace ( owner ) for the record is a nice guy. They installed our roof (…read moreprevious roof was old but did not leak ) and from day one we had a leak by our chimney. They came out no less than 12 times to repair the leak with no success. Trace blamed even our intake to the air conditioner as the issue saying it sweats causing the problem! Trace then finally threw his hands up and called a leak detection service. The first time unfortunately did not find the issue and the leak continued damaging the interior of our house. Trace even had a guy come out and resurface our chimney as he said the rock was causing the issue! On the second visit ( and over a year and a half since the leak started ) the leak detection service found the issue. As it turned out the flashing was installed incorrectly and water was coming in between the flashing and running into the house. After the fix we initially have not had any new leaks until now where during the hurricane it leaked again around the same area and a second leak now detected on the opposite side of the house. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. He hires teams that are not qualified and do shabby work. I am sure to see a rebuttal here, and that's fine but if I can save any others from these potential issues then this was worth it.
