Tried out perfect pizza for the first time this evening. I've had pizza in New York and great pizza in LA and Vegas, but I would have to say that this is my new favorite spot in San Diego. The pizza was fresh, had great quality ingredients, and amazing service. You can tell this is a small family owned business based on their attention to detail. This place is a 2 hour drive from where I live, but I'd definitely come here all the time if I'm ever in the area. I'd recommend the chicken Parmesan pizza with a thin crust, you won't be disappointed.

Always a hit with our picky toddler! Our favorite pizza spot. We order for delivery, and food is always delivered fresh, hot, and delicious!

Looking for a highly rated spot after church. This place was great. Service was good, staff was friendly, and prices were fair. We got the cheesy bread, pepperoni pizza, and the supreme. The cheesy bread and deep dish pizza was delicious. The supreme was ok. Could have used a little something extra like peppers, spice or more sauce but overall, this spot was good.

Stopped by here on a whim. My son wanted pizza and I was passing by. Service was prompt and the food pizza was tasty! My son took a bite and said, "best pizza ever!" I'll be back again.

This is definitely one of our weekly places to grab lunch/dinner. I swear I do cook....well sometimes! Anyhow, pizza is great, staff is amazing, place is always clean and honestly you can not beat their prices. We usually grab a pepperoni pizza and the pep cheesy bread. Both equally delicious! For the pizza, the ratio of cheese and pepperoni to sauce is perfect! Plus, the crust is always soft. Bonus points, it reheats really well when we have left overs. I'm sure we will be in again in the next few days as we're due for another pizza day :)

Friendly, delicious and efficient. The cheese bread you NEED TO GET! 10 out of 10! The pizza... well I wasn't blown away by. I'll definitely try a different one next time!! The wings were really good as well!

I really want to like this place. My first time there, I had to wait a very long time for my pizza. I ordered the regular pepperoni pizza and a deep dish with light cheese. The deep dish came with the regular amount of cheese but I had waited so long, I didn't want to wait for another one. Fast forward to last week. I ordered online and ordered 2 regular pepperoni pizzas. One of them I ordered with light cheese. When I got there, the pizzas were done but once again, it seems that they made both pizzas with the regular amount of cheese. I was disappointed once again not only with the lack of regard for my order but also with the sogginess of the bottom crust and lack of flavor. Oh well.

Placed an order right before 3pm for later pickup. Upon arrival, we asked if we made the cut off time for the free order of perfect bread as advertised on their website. The worker behind the counter, Layla (spelling?), said the order was received right at 3pm. She was very accommodating and made a fresh order of perfect bread for us to take with our pizza order. Thank you! The perfect bread was light, chewy, and topped with the "perfect" amount of Parmesan and parsley. A little bit of garlic would totally knock it out of the park! The 3-meat pizza crust was fluffy and well seasoned. I loved the sausage they used because it had fennel seeds which gave it a nice added flavor. Bacon and pepperoni were crispy and cooked well. I wouldn't doubt that their other pizzas are just as good. They have large round pizzas, deep dish, and stuffed crust. Online order is very simple, take advantage of the free "perfect bread" when you order before 3pm!

Cozy, warm, intimate and welcoming. And the FOOD?! I was convinced somebody's Italian grandmother had to be downstairs hand making that pasta because there was no other explanation. I had the lobster ravioli and started with the bruschetta tostada. Everything was absolutely chef's kiss. Fresh, flavorful and tasted like it was made with love. But what made the experience even better was our waiter, Mauricio! He was simply amazing. He genuinely took care of us, shared the story of the restaurant and talked about how much he enjoyed working there. And you could tell. It showed in the way he treated us and the attention he gave throughout the entire meal. Great food is one thing. Great food paired with genuine hospitality is something completely different. I will DEFINITELY be back the next time I'm in San Diego. If you're looking for homemade pasta, amazing food and that warm family feel, put this place on your list. You will not be disappointed.

After a long day at the beach, we ordered a bottle of wine, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't ridiculously overpriced. Sitting outside, enjoying a glass of wine and watching Little Italy come alive was exactly what we needed. Our server was exceptional. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. But let's talk about the food... The food was AMAZING. We ordered several different things, and everything we tried was delicious, but the pappardelle with short ribs was the standout. The pasta was absolutely fantastic--rich, comforting, and exactly the kind of Italian comfort food you want at the end of a long day. And then there was the dessert case... Oh. My. Goodness. Everything in that case looked like it was personally designed to make you regret saying, "No, we're too full for dessert." Nonna was exactly what we were hoping for that evening: great food, great service, a beautiful Little Italy setting, and a relaxed atmosphere where we could sit outside and enjoy ourselves. I can't wait to go back and eat some more Italian comfort food--and next time, I'm getting the tiramisu.

My rigatoni came out nuke warm at best with other dishes coming out hot. Service: Hostesses need to understand there roles of being pleasant and welcoming upon arrival. They were young and felt like they owned the place with attitude. Then again our waiter was older and very hospitable and accommodating. It wasn't a busy night so it really wasn't chaotic for them.

We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. I made the table reservation the day of and was…read moreable to get a table for 4 on a Saturday night. What I didn't think about was the parking. The area was crowded, with people and cars everywhere, and parking can get very competitive, both physically and price-wise. Anyways, we decided on the parking garage across the street so we could make our reservation and finally enjoy some food! I actually called ahead after placing our reservation to let them know we were having a hard time finding parking, and they were so kind to say they would still hold our table! Amazing! (Pro Tip: Valet service is sometimes cheaper than parking garages.) Anyways, once we got to the restaurant, we checked in, and sure enough, our table was ready, and we were able to order our food promptly. I learned they don't serve free bread, bummer, but it was okay; everything else made up for it. Our server was so friendly and helpful; he was prompt in getting our order in and attentive to what our little ones needed. He made sure their food came out first! So they didn't have to wait so long! Good thing, too! No one especially enjoys hangry kids. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer, campanelle sausage, and from the kids' menu: alfredo penne and mac and cheese, which also comes with a drink and ice cream! Oh, and my husband ordered a red wine that pairs with the campanelle, too! It took a while for the food to be prepped and come our way, but as I mentioned earlier, the kids ended up eating first, which was great! They enjoyed their pasta immensely, and we tasted it too, and it was great! The pasta was cooked well, and the sauces were thick and flavorful! They put a lot of care into the kids' menu, and we parents noticed that! The appetizer came next, and it was deliciously crispy and really had our appetites going for the pasta! When our campanelle came, we asked for extra cheese, of course, and then it was time to eat! The campanelle was cooked beautifully, slathered with spicy red tomato sauce, plus plenty of crumbled sausage and cheese! It was so good! It had a good kick from the spice that makes you want to keep biting into that bellflower-shaped pasta! Yum! When we were done, our waiter was in on the little birthday celebration, and God bless him for not wanting to embarrass my husband; he wisely didn't light the never-ending candle and just gave him a piece of tiramisu cake with "Happy Birthday" on it! It was such a nice experience for our family! The vibe was also very casual and a bit loud since we were seated out on the balcony, but we still had a conversation and had a great time. We loved watching the busyness on the sidewalk as we talked and ate. I really recommend this place!
