My husband and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about working with Steve MacKnight (and Gretchen too)! Our two week honeymoon to a few islands in Tahiti was perfect and we cannot thank him enough for all his recommendations and hard work to make our honeymoon so wonderful! We met with Steve to discuss the locations, time frame, and activities we wanted for our honeymoon. In addition to Bora Bora and Moorea, we knew we wanted to explore another island and Steve's recommendation of Le Taha'a was a trip highlight for us! Steve took care of everything for us including flights, all ground and island transfers including ferries, hotels, and even our excursions and activities! He even provided us with nightly dinner restaurants including local restaurants outside of our hotel with transportation included. We met with Steve once, had a few phone calls, and discussed plans via e-mail to make sure all the arrangements matched up with plans we wanted for the trip! Booking with Steve and Perfect Honeymoons through Classic Vacations also included upgraded rooms, as available, at some of our hotels, included breakfasts at each resort, and a bottle of champagne at check in! Steve was very helpful and responsive! We would highly recommend his services! It was great having someone else head up the honeymoon plans while we were busy planning the wedding. It was wonderful having an incredible honeymoon waiting for us after our wedding! Thanks Perfect Honeymoons!!

We got connected with Steve to plan our honeymoon. I think the biggest factor in what makes or breaks your experiences with travel agents are how you communicate what you're looking for. steve asked us questions that really allowed us to express what we were looking for in our honeymoon and he talked us through the entire way. we had an amazing time. he was also flexible to our last minute changes and we were extremely grateful for that as well.

Jim helped my wife and I by arranging the perfect honeymoon. Sure, some might think that anybody can just read a "Top Ten" islands magazine to find the best place, but this is so much better. Let me explain. First, he has personally been to each of these places. And by sending frequent customers to certain top spots, the resorts are far more likely to give a double upgrade, vs having to ask for a favor as a one time trip goer. We did get one of those upgrades for free and it was amazing. We couldn't have gotten it ourselves. Secondly he knows the details of Hurricane season and small details you won't get in Travel and Leisure. Sure if I did it myself, maybe I would find some deal, or a Groupon, but then find out later it was on sale due to some monsoon season. Is it worth it? Worth the headache and the chance for messing up? I don't think so. I will use him after each time I get married! Just kidding. But we have used him for other more formal getaways as well as our honeymoon. We went to St Lucia if you are wondering. I highly recommend Jim and his services.

Jim did a great job helping my wife and I plan our honeymoon in Tahiti! The personal touch and presidential treatment at the St. Regis was incredible, and I'd highly recommend you don't try and plan a trip like this on your own. There are too many nuances that you need an expert for, and Jim is your man. All you need to do is tell him your budget and what you're looking for, and he'll design the perfect honeymoon for you!

We had a honeymoon planned for February 2026 -- or at least, we thought we did. Gretchen and her company charged us a $300 administration fee up front, which she said was required for her to guide us step-by-step through the entire planning process and be available to us during our trip. It was pitched as a fully supported, stress-free experience. All we had to do was show up. From the beginning, communication was incredibly poor. I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first due to the wildfires in California at the time, even going out of my way to check in on her and her family. I chalked up missed deadlines to the fires and tried to be understanding. But now, with our wedding quickly approaching, we realized we had NO flight details, NO itinerary, and hadn't even heard from her in months. I reached out to check in -- and she left me on read. This wasn't the first time either. I would send polite follow-up messages like: "Hi, I can see that you've read my message, so I guess you're really busy. Can we schedule a time to talk?" Only then would she respond. This cycle happened more than once. But this month was the final straw. I reached out to start looking at plane tickets -- she left me on read again. I then followed up, expressing clearly that we were no longer comfortable continuing and wanted to know what we needed to do to receive a refund. We also paid over $1k to reserve our stay at one of the quickly booked hotels, so it was important for us to get this information. She never responded. Completely ghosted us. No explanation. No apology. Just silence. We were never rude to her. We were patient and understanding. And still -- she disappeared on us and left us without a honeymoon. This has been heartbreaking, stressful, and completely unprofessional. After digging deeper, I found that we're NOT the only ones. There are many hidden negative reviews that share the same experience: * No communication * Ghosting clients * People almost missing flights * Others stranded out of the country with no help She may still have good reviews online, but don't be fooled -- the bad ones are there, and they echo exactly what happened to us. This might be a scam. Use a credit card if you do move forward so you can dispute the charges. But honestly -- don't risk it. We're going to report this company to every wedding, travel, and consumer site we can find. If you care about your honeymoon (and your money), look elsewhere. read more

There is a reason Jim's business is called Perfect Honeymoons & Holidays - that is what he does. He helped us planned our honeymoon 12 years ago and it was perfect. A few years ago, when we wanted to visit Jamaica, he helped us pick the perfect resort. So when it was time we decided on a last-minute Christmas vacation due to some unexpected time off, we called Jim. I tried to do this by myself but going down the Google search rabbit hole trying to compare resorts, islands, find flights etc. was really time consuming and totally overwhelming. Every site starts to look the same after awhile. People don't think they need a travel agent, but we wanted to make sure we loved our vacation and didn't just hit purchase on a resort we sorta liked online. Jim sent us to the Unico resort in Rivera Maya. IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED, and most important, it didn't come up on a single search I did on my own. I am so glad we reached out to him again. I didn't even know to extend by search of Cancun resorts to include other areas. The resort was perfect - we told Jim exactly what we wanted, exactly what we wanted to spend and when we wanted to go. He delivered above and beyond on all things. No detail was overlooked. If you are in the middle of planning a wedding -or just in the middle of day to day busy life - there is nothing wrong with outsourcing planning your honeymoon or vacation to someone. Do it. read more

We've worked with Jim and Perfect Honeymoons in the past (including for our honeymoon!) but it's never been more important to have an attentive, customer focused, and capable travel agent than during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our trip to Rosewood Little Dix Bay was made so much better through the care that Jim provided. He was able to maintain our low-season rate throughout many delays and changes, was able to get us upgrades, and provided key help as we navigated the new procedures to enter the BVI. When leaving, Jim was even able to negotiate an additional resort credit that we weren't expecting. Many will say that you should just go direct and book on a hotel website, or with an airline, but Jim and Perfect Honeymoons provides such a remarkable service in this challenging world - we'll not take a trip like this without going through Jim again! read more

We chose this agency because of it's high ratings and proximity to where we live. I first contacted them to plan our italian honeymoon 7 months ago and was told it was too early, come back. Offputting, but we requested a meeting in person a few months later. The meeting in the office was fantastic but that is about where the fantastic ended. We walked in the door with a pretty strict but realistic budget. Jim mentioned we may have to raise it to get the trip we wanted, but mentioned he'd do his best and could get an itineary put together in three days. Weeks and weeks went by with me sending an occasional reminder message with no itinerary. I understand he has other clients and he isn't going to be as excited about my honeymoon as I am, but he shouldn't have made promises he had no intention to keep. We still had plenty of time so we were trying to stick with it. We finally got an itinerary after 6 weeks. It was within the budget he told us we'd have to stretch to (but was $3K over ours). For a once in a lifetime trip, we could figure out how to stretch. With excitement I started to google the hotels that he chose. EVERY hotel for the trip was 5 stars. Now, if money was not an issue I would not complain about this at all. But two days after putting on a vineyard party for over 100 of our closest friends and family is not an ideal time. We dont want to go to Italy and just admire the wallpaper. If we have to have a higher budget we'd rather spend it on tickets to see something or an upgrade to the rental car or something, really enjoy our trip. I asked Jim to make some adjustments to the itinerary, and more and more weeks went by. We requested another meeting in person to push the issue. At this meeting we all agreed to the tweaks. However, Jim now told us that one of the hotels and the rental car weren't included in the price (which was still an imaginary number we didn't know). These two items have a potential to add at least $1K to the budget so we were kind of shocked, but eye on the prize we wrote a check for half the trip as a deposit...a different and higher ammount he had told us we would need to put down in earlier communications. I should have stopped the press several times in this process, but with all of the other wedding planning issues I am dealing with I just didn't have the energy to fight this one. I thought for sure that with actual money down we would get a finalized itinary and price since after 7 months of shenanigans we are now much closer to our travel date. Again, we wait. With each passing week I kept getting more and more angry about all of the past issues we and just requested our deposit back. For a man I had to beg to do anything, he responded almost immediately with our check. Interesting, but we're happy to get our money back. We travel internationally on our own regularly but for this important of a trip we though we could use some help. We gave him plenty of time, and our budget was tight but totally realistic. If there was some method to the madness I would have appreciated just being told so to save everyone time and headache. read more

Jim did our honeymoon for us in 2007. (I know..."you're just writing this review NOW?") So yes it's late but the best things...... He was introduced to us by some friends whose honeymoon he planned. We also wanted to go to a warm place, and after batting a few ideas around with Jim, we settled on Hawaii. He explained our options, and really helped us draw up a vacation that was all parts what we wanted. One week of doing nothing, one week of fun and one week of more modern comforts. He knew the areas of both the big island and Maui like the back of his hand, and was overflowing with recommendations. The price was not cheap, but it was reasonable for the amount of time we were going. AND, he surprised us with a gift in the room upon our arrival. He answered all the (what felt like a million) questions we had, and prepared us right up to the last minute. We had such a good experience with Jim that we'd absolutely use him again. In fact, he also planned my sister's honeymoon, and I've referred Jim to at least 20 people. Even if not for a honeymoon, Jim is the guy you want to know. Top notch all the way. read more

My wife and I first met Jim Augerinos and his Mom when they booked our amazing honeymoon to Grenada. We just got back from our 20th anniversary trip of a lifetime to Italy that was also booked by Jim!!! For 20 years we have used Jim for every big vacation we've ever taken and even for a few long weekends. There is a reason for it. Jim knows so much detail about the locations and nuances that others don't. There has never been a single detail missed and he knows our likes/dislikes to perfection. Please use Jim and Perfect Honeymoons if you want your trips to be unforgettably perfect!!! Thank you again Jim!!! read more

FAR FROM PERFECT HONEYMOON Working with Jim was truly a horrible experience. I was shocked by his lack of professionalism and rude behavior. We for the most part planned our own honeymoon. He took months to finalize our plans and we suffered from that as not having many options for flights and hotels. He waited so long to book our flight our seats on the way home from italy were row 42, the very LAST seats on the plane for a 9+ hour flight in seats that did NOT recline. He also made us use europcar for our car rental even though I am a preferred member with Avis and specifically asked if we could use them. He said there would not be an avis overseas...sure enough Jim was wrong about that in Milan and Naples they had Avis. I'm fairly certain he was accruing his own reward points. Lastly there was 1 night we had no hotel which was an oversight on his part, thank goodness I realized it before we left! Very stressful to figure out where we could get in another night during peak season to travel in italy and ended up paying another night in an expensive hotel. Not ideal but we had few options. I decided it would be better for future customers to hear his own words and decide if they want to work with him. Below is a recount of our email exchange. JAN 3 2017 We submitted our honeymoon questionnaire and credit card info. JANUARY 17: JIM: Julie, ugg this ended up in my spam folder for some reason so I just now saw it. Let me get started on this right away. (sent Jan 3rd) FEB 6th: ME: Hey jim has there been any progress? Not sure how this process works but I thought we would have a loose itinerary put together and confirmation that the trip was booked? Let me know if there is any more information you need from me. Thank you! FEB 7th: JIM: Julie, Putting the finishing touches on the proposal as we speak. Should have something to you within the next 24 hours. FEB 15th: (not 24 hours but 8 days later) JIM: Julie, here is the itinerary I have put together so far (i.e. not done) for the honeymoon. FEB 25: JIM: Julie, I would be happy to finalize all this today, just give me okay to use the credit card to secure the sorrento hotel and the rest of the trip and I can start confirming everything. (he already has this cc info we submitted with our questionaire in january) Anthony (my husband): Hi Jim, Can we please get more immediate feedback and response regarding anything to do with this trip. Just so we know things are rolling or if you're still figuring things out. Sometimes we don't hear from you for a few days. We don't want to be in the dark. Thank you Jim: Anthony, I am juggling planning about 50 honeymoons right now, so there is sometimes not enough time in the day to get back to everyone. So generally it's taking a few days especially when I have to contact Italy and wait for a response from them( i go direct to hotels in some instances). I will do my best to get back to sooner. MARCH 4: JIM: I am currently out of the office celebrating my babymoon in the Southwest. Thank you for your email. I am currently away from the office, exploring Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, The Grand Canyon and Sedona on my own Personal Babymoon. I plan to have limited access to email for the durationof my trip and will reply to you as soon as possible. Your patience isappreciated during my absence. (he did not contact another colleague to finalize our trip he just left it unfinished while he was away for weeks) MARCH 7th: Jim: Julie, since I am out of the office this week and unfamiliar with modena, it would be best to email the B&B directly to inquire about a reservation. (I found this to be rude because this is what we were hiring him to do.) June 22nd Days from our departure on June 28th we received final itinerary. On top of this I had a few tense conversations on the phone with Jim telling me he was a new father and he told me that most of his clients are sympathetic to that. Making me sound like a cold hearted person. Which I am not, I was just extremely nervous our plans were not final. Jim is not on top of his game, he is apparently the president and founder of this company and its not worth it to waste your money on services that are not rendered never mind in a timely professional manner. You're better off getting some recommendations from friends on Facebook and doing it yourself save yourself the headache and worry. The whole point in hiring a travel agent is to be stress free. I guarantee that will not be the case with FAR from perfect honeymoons. read more

We picked Perfect Honeymoons to help us with our honeymoon and it was one of the best decisions we could have made! There we so many things that made working with Jim such a pleasure. Our honeymoon was over two weeks and involved a considerable amount of travel and lodging changes. Jim knows all the best places to stay (based on his actual experience instead of who has paid him), and has great insight into how to set up the trip for the best time. After your initial meeting he presents you with a variety of hotel/itinerary options for you to choose from. Once you decide on places and hotel options, he prepares a formal package. He provides full support on your trip if something does come up. I don't know why someone would even consider planning their honeymoon themselves; he saves you time and money, provides insight into the best areas to go to, and serves as a support team to help fix any logistical/other issues that may come up while on the trip. Oh and by the way he does all this for practically nothing!!! read more

Jim at Perfect Honeymoons has helped us plan two experiences of a lifetime... a honeymoon in Anguilla and a 10 year anniversary in Nicaragua. Both times he was professional, got to know us quickly to understand our style, brought new ideas, and took care of all the details. I am so thankful that he introduced us to Nicaragua and such a special resort ... we will definitely be going back. I appreciate Jim because he brings ideas that are off the beaten path, and not where "everyone" is going, and has sent us to places that we're luxurious but not overcrowded and overdone. So I look forward to working with Jim on our 20th... or sooner! read more

Jim Augerinos and Perfect Honeymoons are the best of the best in destination travel. I have worked with Jim a few times over the past several years and EVERY TIME he plans a trip for us, it is perfect! We just returned from a dream destination wedding in Anguilla, followed by our honeymoon in St Barts. Perfect Honeymoons was part of it all. Jim helped us plan an amazing wedding...negiotiating a great room rate for us and assisting all of our guests with travel and accomodations. Evereyone had rave reviews of Jim's support during their travel planning. Our honeymoon in St Barts was PERFECT! We were treated like royalty when we arrived at Eden Rock and even had a bottle of wine and some snacks delivered to our room upon arrival. One of the BEST things about Jim is the recommendations of restaurants and things to do while on your vacation. Every single restaurant is exactly as he describes...and we ALWAYS try to do the activties he suggests. While in St Barts, Jim recommended that we use our rental car and explore all the beaches on the island. We did that and it was BY FAR the best part of our trip. I even reached out to himj dircetly one night from St Barts because we could not decide between two restaurants for our last night there. He responded quickly with some great advice which was exactly what we needed. Jim takes the time to understand what you are looking for in a dream vacation and makes recommendations to fit that. He is THE MAN!! read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Perfect Honeymoons!! We worked with Jim Augerinos to plan the most perfect honeymoon to Fiji and several trips since then (Mexico, Turks and Caicos, Hawaii...). Jim really takes the time to understand his clients- their expectations, likes, dislikes and budgets in order to recommend perfect trips. He's a great guy- he's honest and personable, responsive and detail oriented. And he really knows his business!!! It's obvious that he's traveled to the places he's recommending-- it makes a huge difference when a person is able to personally vouch for a place. He can give you recommendations on restaurants and activities, so you really get the most for your time and money. He's also been a huge help in a pinch-- on one of our trips we had a weather issue which would have messed up our entire trip. We made one phone call to Jim and he was able to re-work our entire trip on the spot- hotels, cars, flights. What could have been very stressful was made easy by one phone call to Jim. He was terriffic! I don't know what we would have done without him. I have recommended Jim and Perfect Honeymoons to several friends planning honeymoons and vacations and they all have been thrilled with their trips-- Jim is ALWAYS spot on. I would recommend Jim and Perfect Honeymoons to anyone!!!! read more

My wife and I were beyond satisfied with Perfect Honeymoons. Jim was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the first introductory meeting via Skype to our final check-in before the trip, Jim was professional, courteous, kind, and funny. He planned the perfect honeymoon for us. He really listened during our interview and planned the trip to suit our needs and wants PERFECTLY. Our trip to Greece and Italy couldn't have been as perfect as it was if it weren't for the meticulous planning from Jim. We barely even had to think of logistics, everything was perfectly laid out for us in a smartphone app. When our flight was delayed, Jim swiftly changed things around to make sure when we arrived our driver would be there. He was extremely responsive during the trip as we did have a few questions. We'll be recommending Jim to all of our friends and family for ANY trip their planning. Jim's services are worth every penny (and it is extremely reasonable). Thank you again for everything Jim! Until the next trip! read more

Jim helped book our honeymoon and I must admit it was easy and everything was spelled out for us. We went to Moorea and Bora Bora. We stayed at The Intercontinental in Moorea and Four Seasons in Bora Bora. Moorea was amazing... When we arrived we got treated like a king and queen. Also we got upgraded to a over water bungalow for a wonderful price. We swam with the dolphins which was super cool and the Atv tour is a must do!! Four Seasons is breathtaking!!!! It was my birthday, and everyone at the Four Seasons said Happy Birthday to me! Even the maids! We had an over water bungalow and they came to give us raw fish and bread to feed the fish every night! Amazing service.... I loved my honeymoon and will go with Jim again!!! read more

We worked with Jim two years ago to plan our honeymoon to Anguilla and were so happy with his services that we recently planned another vacation to St. Lucia. Prior to the vacations, he took the time to answer all of our questions and was very responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. Being an accountant, I can be a stickler about numbers and budgets, so in planning the second vacation, I was initially set on a certain budget, which he did end up pushing a little, and I am so glad he did! I feel that Jim knew enough about our preferences that he was not about to send us on a "so-so" vacation just to get us within budget. Once we were on the vacation, we saw the value in the entire vacation, and were so happy with our decision! We have had two fabulous vacations, thanks to him, and really saw the added benefit of booking through him. I think he did a really good job matching our preferences and planning our vacation from start to finish. He makes planning a vacation very stress-free. We were so happy with both destinations; the accommodations exceeded our expectations, and we had so much fun! I would definitely recommend his services to others, and plan on using him again in the future. read more

My family and I just had a dream vacation in St. Barth's. All thanks to Jim Augerinos (and Steve MacKnight) of Perfect Honeymoons & Holidays! I've finally started getting into the practice of reviews, and I'm giving Jim a long overdue review on his (and his team's) amazing talent as a travel agent. My husband and I first came to Perfect Honeymoons 22 years ago based on a friend's recommendation to book our honeymoon. Back then, Jim's mother, Beth was in charge and as soon as we met her, we knew we were in good hands. Eventually, she retired, but luckily she passed on her passion for travel to Jim. Sure, we could book our own vacation, but there's something to be said about a well-trusted travel agent who has excellent connections with the top hotels and resorts around the world. He always finds us the best rates and packages on all of our vacations. Whenever possible, he's been able to get us upgrades because of his special relationships with the best resorts in the Caribbean. Every detail regarding your travel plans is perfect choreographed with great detail. Jim is a foodie so he's also great at recommending the best places to dine wherever you travel - from cheap eats to high-end restaurants. He's very acute to each couple's and family's needs and wants for the perfection vacation. That's why we continue to have Jim and his team book our trips. Everyone we've recommended to him has raved about his ability to "get it right" on their expectations for their honeymoon or family vacations. I highly recommend Perfect Honeymoons & Holidays!! read more

Jim recently planned a 40th birthday trip to Mexico for me and my wife along with several other couples. We gave him a max budget and a list of things we were looking for ( i.e. all inclusive/adults only/good food/top shelf alcohol etc). Jim came up with 4 great options to choose from and the group was able to choose what we thought fit us best. I am happy to say the resort and the trip overall exceeded our expectations. The resort was beautiful, rooms and all facilities were very clean and well kept, beach and pools were perfect for whatever mood you were in that day (party pool/float down the river pool/relax in peace and quiet pool). Jim took care of the flights and transportation to and from the resort and gave us a list of suggested excursions if we wanted to venture out. The is the third time my wife and I have used Jim and he has not missed yet. There was no research or hassle involved on our end and the total price was equal to or better than what we could have booked ourselves had we already known about the place. I would highly recommend Jim for any special trip you are looking to plan. read more

Jim has been a huge asset in helping us plan an incredible 10 day multi stop honeymoon and a number of last minute vacations to some amazing places along with a full read out of tips/suggestions on what to do while there. His recommendations on flights, hotels (he delivers some great upgrades), restaurants, things to see (and not see) and do are always on point and help us save money, time and also get the most out of our vacation experience-wise. His recommendations come from recent personal experience and are far better than anything you find online or in a book. With the honeymoon, he spent considerable time with us in working through various options and then coming up with a great itinerary. Since then, we have used him for every vacation we have taken overseas. My wife and I have high pressure jobs where free time is at a premium and we often come to Jim at the last minute and ask him to plan us a 5 star over the top vacation in a matter of days-and everytime he has delivered and done so with patience and a mindset of maximizing our experience. From Anguilla (3 trips), Turks (twice) and BVI-he has been awesome to work with every time...if you're looking to plan a much needed getaway or a memorable honeymoon, Jim is the guy to call. read more

What can we say. Jim is amazing. Jade Mountain is amazing. We had a phenomenal time and frankly didn't want to ever leave. We arrived on Friday right after Tropical Storm Ernesto blew threw. We were greeted upfront and given room JA3, a Star suite. It was unbelievable. The view of the Pitons, the view of the ocean were all amazing. As Jim suggested, the total romance package was the way to go. It afforded us the ability to eat whenever we wanted and to have a number of outings. We did a good number of them, the jungle biking tour the volcano/botanical garden tour, the half-day sailing, the snorkeling, and the free t-shirts. We ate in our room every morning for breakfast, we ate lunch occasionally in our room but mostly down on the beach or over at Anse Mamin (amazing burgers), ate dinner at Jade (and some in our room) almost every night except for the rum punch gathering and one at the indian restaurant on the beach. The food was AMAZING. I love food and we ate like kings and queens every day. It was unholy how much and how good the food is at Jade. Everything is fresh and local (except for the beef). We ate breads, fruits, etc for breakfast along with wonderful fresh fruit juice. The room was amazing too. It was hard for us to justify leaving the room at any point but we did manage to get out and do a number of activities. We read a lot in the room and did hang out in the pool a decent amount. What made the week especially great was the service from everyone. From the minute we got off the plane until the moment we left. The butlers took care of everything we needed, from delivering food to the room to handling our itineraries. And they were pleasant the entire time. I think it is fair to say that Jim has ruined us for future vacations :) This was an amazing trip and Jim was instrumental in making it all happen. We can't thank him enough for the recommendations and setting all of it up including the upgrade. We will definitely be interested in working with him in the future. read more

My husband I are worked with Jim to help us plan our honeymoon. We have never gone through a travel agent before, but in this case, because there are just so many logistics when planning a long honeymoon, we decided we wanted to find someone to do all the detail work for us. When we met with Jim, we weren't certain where we wanted to go. We gave him our top 3 choices, and he was completely upfront and honest about the pros and cons of each area. He did not try to sugar coat anything. He had been to all of the locations himself, so it was great to hear his firsthand experience about each place. We really appreciated that because, when planning a wedding, we all know how much people are trying to take advantage of us. One we narrowed it down to Hawaii, and told him we wanted to do a week in both Maui and Kauai, he gave us a wonderful proposal just 2 days later! He had covered everything: flights, rentals, and hotels. All the stuff that is painful to search for when you don't know an area. A few weeks before we left for the wedding, we went to pick up our travel documents from him. This allowed us to ask all of those last-minute questions. He had organized the entire travel itinerary for us, complete with maps and the top things to do in each location. And we did quite a bit of those things on the package of information he provided for us! So how was the honeymoon? Spectacular. Jim really took our requests when picking the hotel locations for us. We said we wanted quiet, away from all the really touristy areas, and that's exactly what we got. And because of his relationships with these hotels, we were put in beautiful rooms on both islands. Because Jim has been a travel agent for a long time, and has personal experience to all of these locations, he makes for a fantastic travel agent. Even though we went on our honeymoon 3 months after getting married, it was just so nice to have someone do all of the details. We highly recommend Jim as a travel agent, and plan on returning to him in the future when we plan our next big trip. read more

Our honeymoon was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about our experience. We loved both St Lucia and Barbados. I think one of the smartest things we did at Jade Mountain was booking the all inclusive package--food and drink were really expensive, and it was nice to not have to worry about that. We took a sunset sail one day that I would highly recommend to other couples--it was lots of fun and the views were gorgeous. All in all, we found Jade Mountain incredibly beautiful and relaxing--truly the perfect place to get away from it all after wedding craziness. Sandy Lane was incredible. We were upgraded to an ocean front room, which was stunning. The golf was perfect, the food was wonderful, the beach and pool were amazing. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful, and we could not have asked for a more perfect golf destination. It was well worth the cost. I think for us, having a few days of doing "nothing" followed by golf and activities was great--we're generally always doing things, and so I think sitting on a beach for 10 days and doing nothing else would have been a little too much inactivity. All in all, a perfect trip--thanks again! read more

I contacted Jim a few months ago and told him that I wanted to plan a family vacation this summer to the carribean. We talked over the phone for a few minutes and I gave him some detail and he came up with a few alternatives that I kind of liked. Toward the end of the conversation, I told him there wasn't a big rush since we had some time but he promised to get back to me in a week with some more detail. Well, almost a month went by and I started to get a little annoyed but that big of a deal since I felt he may have more pressing matters. So, I called him back and he remembered our initial conversation and said he would have to pull my file and call me back. That was about 2 months ago and I haven't heard a word. I picked this agency because of the nice write-up they had in the Washingtonian. I have planned vacations on my own in the past but wanted a professional this time around since I was not that familiar with either of the destinations that we are planning to visit. I understand people get busy and I have no problem with that if they simply pick-up the phone and (at least) give a status of what's going on. However, in these case, it was more like being "blown off" no other words. So, I figure, if I can't rely on these people to simply make a return phone call, why would I trust them to arrange a trip for me and my family to parts unknown. So, you may be better using KAYAK instead of these guys...... read more

We had never used a travel agent before but after our friends used one for their honeymoon (not this company), we decided to do it as we didn't have time to plan a trip. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. It seemed like a cookie cutter trip that Jim planned for us and didnt provide options of places to stay. We had made ONE request about our trip (specific amenity at a resort) and Jim failed to accommodate that. He seemed put off on trying to help us and was borderline rude. He took a really long time to reply to emails. We ended up with one resort which was a 1.5 hours away from anything and it was the only place to eat at for multiple days. The cost of our trip even went up at one point because he failed to book it quickly. He also said that because he worked with these resorts a lot, they would go above and beyond and give us extra attention for our honeymoon. This was completely false. I felt that he made it out to sound like he could provide a great service but after we paid the fee, he didn't follow through on his guarantee. The only reason that I am giving 2 stars is that everything went smoothly on the trip and we enjoyed the resorts we stayed at. But I would never recommend or use him again. read more

We met Jim at a Washingtonian event and scheduled a meeting with him several months later, prior to our wedding. Jim's sales tactics were similar to a used car salesman. He initially told us a honeymoon to Greece would be between 6000-7000 and after I advised him that 6000 was the top of our budget, he then said we would be hard pressed to have a honeymoon vacation in Greece without spending an additional 2000 beyond the 6000 he previously quoted, a complete contradiction. We found him to be offputting and insulting, as he pretty much insinuated that I was cheap after I told him we wanted to find a good value for our honeymoon. It was obvious he's focused on providing service to those people who are not working within any budget. A more mature sales person would have handled their potential clients more professionally. read more

Perfect Honeymoons and Holidays planned and arranged the honeymoon of our dreams. Working with Jim Augerinos was a terrific experience from start to finish. It all started with the questionnaires that we completed prior to our initial consultation. Jim took everything into account... our own individual preferences regarding desired activities (or lack of!), previous travel experiences, budget, etc. to help start the discussion. After some decisions on our end, Jim created a trip proposal that was tailored to us in every way. Travel day came and armed with the two, 10+ page documents that Jim provided us with, which had full descriptions of each of the islands and "things to do and see" (our honeymoon would take us to two islands), every detail was planned meticulously and all of our travels and arrangements went off without a hitch. The honeymoon was better than we could have imagined... from the accommodations, the recommendations for activities, and restaurants, everything was nothing short of amazing. Though it was of course not guaranteed, Jim was able to work some magic and secure us upgrades at the hotels on both islands. We were so happy with the experience that we have been referring friends and family... the funny thing is that three other couples we know getting married this year are already using him! We will always thank Jim and Perfect Honeymoons and Holidays for making our honeymoon a truly once in a lifetime experience. read more

Calling Perfect Honeymoons was the best decision I made while attempting to plan our honeymoon. Jim is the ultimate professional, and an expert in his field. He took the time to listen closely to what we wanted out of our honeymoon and then made three great recommendations. Jim doesn't work off of pictures on the internet, he has been to these resorts and can provide a first-hand account of what to expect. Our trip to Excellence Playa Mujeres was everything we had hoped for and exactly as described by Jim. Every detail for our trip was well-planned. Jim makes himself available at all times in case there is an emergency during your trip. For a trip as important as a honeymoon, I am glad that I allowed a professional to do the work. read more

Jim was absolutely fantastic. He sat down with us and got to know us and gave us several options of different honeymoons we could take. They were all so wonderful we had a hard time choosing (and we had to decide we'll just take the others as other trips like a babymoon). The actual trip (to Belize) was fantastic. The hotels he booked were amazing, flight was smooth, and all other travel arrangements went smoother than we could've asked for. He was friendly, helpful, and always willing to answer our questions and got back to us with answers in a reasonable time. We can't wait for our next trip (and we've already recommended him to several of our friends)! read more

My fiance and I waited way too long to plan our honeymoon, and contacted Jim in a panic a few weeks before we wanted to go to Tahiti. Not smart! Jim was extremely accommodating and immediately scheduled a time for us to talk about what our dream honeymoon would look like. We didn't hold back - we told him exactly what we wanted, and we gave him our budget. It wasn't easy, but Jim made phone calls and pulled strings and got us exactly what we wanted: two resorts in Tahiti, both with over water bungalows. One was a big resort right off Bora Bora, and the other was a boutique resort on a tiny private vanilla island. We especially loved the boutique one, and NEVER would have found it without his help!! Jim was professional and kind every step of the way - we felt like we had an advocate from abroad. HIGHLY recommend!! read more

I first contacted Jim of Perfect Honeymoons in August 2008 to find out more about him and to see if he was available to help plan my May 2009 honeymoon. My husband and I traveled from Ellicott City, MD to Vienna, VA where Jim's office is located to meet with him. During our first meeting Jim was wonderful. He was personable and met with us for over an hour to get to know us and to offer us a few suggestions for the honeymoon. We left feeling elated; Jim had offered us two wonderful suggestions (Hawaii and Costa Rica). We had not considered Costa Rica and ultimately decided that this was the destination for us. We also decided to use Perfect Honeymoon and Holidays to book our honeymoon because we thought Jim was the best. All the reviews we read indicated that Jim would be great to work with throughout the planning process. We first felt resistance from Jim when we inquired about a few hotels that he had not personally visited. He clearly did not want to book us with these hotels, although at the time we did not know why. We finalized all our plans and paid the deposit to the booking company that Jim uses - he did not book our trip himself, he used a third party to book our trip. In November I decided to price out our trip myself and found a drastic ($2,000) difference between what we were paying through Jim and my research. My husband e-mail Jim to inquire about the differences and e-mailed him an outline of what I had found online. We had no problem paying Jim's price, but we wanted an explanation of the differences. We did not hear back from Jim for weeks. When he finally responded to us his answer was "When we book a package they do not give me a breakdown of the costs just a grand total of everything. So I cannot provide you with a line item summary of each of the charges." This response was in mid-November. My husband and I had to contact the third party booking agent after we waited to hear back from Jim for weeks. Finally around Christmas the pricing fiasco was resolved. Jim agreed to take off his personal undisclosed $100 fee for the initial honeymoon planning consultation and any future correspondence, putting together the itinerary and 24-hour customer service during the honeymoon, any overnight fees and personalized travel tips and notifying the hotels that we are honeymooners. We were also refunded an undisclosed fee from his third party booking agent. It's a good thing that these fees were removed because we had huge issues at the end of our honeymoon and Jim was impossible to reach. We tried contacting him several times, but he only made himself available several days after our initial phone call/e-mail. Our last hotel also had no idea that we were on our honeymoon. Once the fee issues were resolved we were perfectly fine with Jim again. The evening before our final payment was due in late April Jim sent us a reminder and the balance. We promptly completed the form and sent in our credit card information. The next day Jim sent us an e-mail to let us know that one of our prepaid excursions was cancelled due to an earthquake that occurred in January. I called Jim to see if there would be a refund (and to ask why he hadn't notified us of this before April since the earthquake occurred in June) and he couldn't tell me exactly how much the excursion cost. We then looked a little further and found out that he never adjusted the price of our trip to account for the refund for the undisclosed fees. This was the icing on the cake and not what any bride or groom needs mere weeks before a wedding. My husband was able to sort out all of our issues, but we were almost afraid to say anything for fear that something would go wrong on our honeymoon due to Jim. Planning the honeymoon was the most stressful part of the wedding planning process and my husband expressed this to Jim during a face-to-face meeting. Jim admitted during this time that he was not receiving all of his e-mails which could have been why he was not responding to us for such long periods of time. In summary this was a very disappointing experience for such a highly rated vendor. read more

My wife and I used Perfect Honeymoons over the summer for a trip to Greece after a recommendation from some friends. We thought it would be great to have some help planning our trip at the time because we were too busy planning our wedding to deal with it. We were wrong. The experience was terrible. We thought we could trust Jim and thought he would get to know us and then make recommendations and arrangements to meet our needs. Instead of being helpful Jim tried to box us into a cookie cutter trip that involved traveling with and staying with "friends" of his organization. I am not exactly sure how the business works but it sure seemed like he was getting substantial kickbacks from the services he booked for us. Just try to inquire about traveling to or staying in any of the places that are not on his list. He allowed us travel to only three island choices in all of Greece: Mykonos, Crete or Santorini. While Santorini was clearly on our list the others were not necessarily. When friends suggested we go to Naxos and we inquired about this possibility Jim failed to answer us for two months and then said that he somehow "lost" or email. When, after some negotiating and agreeing to spend some time in Mykonos he finally agreed to this deviation from his cookie cutter itinerary, he failed to book our flights for over a week and then called us back to say the flights were now 30% more than we had originally discussed. We were so upset we considered cancelling the whole trip. To his credit Jim agreed to cover the difference in flights since it was his mistake. We ended up not much enjoying our stay in Mykonos as we had feared(we stayed on a small beach far from town overpopulated by nude men in an overpriced hotel with poor service in a room next to the loud laundry).Overall though we still enjoyed the rest of our trip, but Jim gave us very little advice and contrary to what he previously suggested, he never helped us book any activities nor suggested any. We would have appreciated if he took a greater interest in us. We would have been willing to pay more money. We just wanted to understand that were getting something in return instead of feeling like he was somehow constantly trying to rip us off rather than working with us. I would avoid this travel agent particularly if you are traveling to Europe for your honeymoon. You can do a lot better with someone else or by just booking the trip on your own. read more

My husband was referred to Jim Augerinos by one of his coworkers. We had so much planning to do with the wedding that we wanted to let someone else take over the planning of our honeymoon, especially since it was only about a month and a half away! We had a couple of ideas of what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go and Jim helped us narrow down and pick a honeymoon that was made sense based on our tight budget. Without his help we would not have had the amazing trip that we did! We ended up going to Rome, Italy and the Amalfi Coast. I was so busy that I did not even look up either of the hotels he had booked; I just hoped and trusted that he picked somewhere we would enjoy. And did he ever! The Hotel D'Inghilterra was quaint and right in the heart of Rome and the staff was friendly and helpful. We could walk just about everywhere from our hotel. And the hotel in Ravello in the Amalfi Coast, Palazzo Sasso, took my breath away, literally! I have never seen a more gorgeous view from a hotel room. Everyone there knew our names and made sure we were comfortable. Jim also arranged our transportation; I kind of miss getting taken around in a Mercedes to the hotel, train, boat, etc. He was so sweet and even had a fruit platter in our room for our arrival. I could not have dreamt up a better honeymoon! Thank you so much Jim for all of your help! We have already said we want to return to both hotels and you will be the first one we call to plan the next trip!! read more

My wife and I originally met Jim Augerinos and the Perfect Honeymoons family when we planned our honeymoon trip. As promised, Jim planned and booked the "honeymoon of our dreams" and as a result we have been using him to book trips for us for years. We're up to 5 or 6 trips booked through Jim now. In addition, we have referred numerous friends, family, and colleagues to book their honeymoons and other vacations through Jim. I used to think that travel agents were obsolete these days, but Jim continues to prove his value every trip we book. He has been just about everywhere in the world (often multiple times), so he not only knows what places are beautiful, fun, exciting, relaxing, etc., but also what region to go to, what hotel to stay at, what side of the hotel to get a room on, activities, restaurants nearby, etc. Jim provides a free, no commitment consultation to figure out your budget and interests and can make recommendations that fit your goals. From there, he does the rest, so you don't have to deal with flights (unless you want to use your miles for the flight), hotels, transportation at your destination, etc. While it is fun to do research and book that stuff yourself, it's even better to have him handle all of that and then you can do your own "homework." One last great thing about working with Jim is that he not only does all of this for his clients, but he is able to get everything cheaper than you can on your own. After speaking with him in person (or on the phone for those outside of NoVA, which is what we do) and then book your own trip using the information and experiences that he has shared with you, but you won't be able to beat the prices that he gets. Can't wait for our next vacation through Perfect Honeymoons & Holidays Travel! read more

Perfect Honeymoons is a honeymoon and milestone travel design company founded in Northern Virginia in 1989, now serving clients nationwide from Charleston, South Carolina, and led by Jim Augerinos, known as Mr. Honeymoon. I have traveled to 73 countries and hold Tahiti specialist certification. Every recommendation comes from firsthand experience: hotels I have stayed in, islands I have walked, partners I know by name. I design honeymoons to Bora Bora, the Maldives, Italy, Greece, Fiji, and Southern Africa, and most couples come back for anniversaries, babymoons, and family trips. While you travel, I am your lifeline: if anything goes sideways en route, you call me, not an 800 number.
History
Established in 1989.
Established in 1989. My mother founded Perfect Honeymoons in Northern Virginia, and I have been part of the business since I was 14. We moved to the Charleston, South Carolina area in 2015 and serve clients nationwide. The rule has been the same from the start: recommend only what we have seen firsthand.
Meet the Business Owner: Jim S.
My mother started Perfect Honeymoons in 1989, and I have been part of it since I was 14. I have spent my career doing one thing: planning the trip that follows the wedding, and then the trips that follow that. I have traveled to 73 countries, hold Tahiti specialist certification, and Travel + Leisure has named me to its A-List of top travel advisors three times: 2016, 2025, and 2026. My wife Meghan and I honeymooned at the St. Regis Bora Bora, so I know what it feels like to hand someone the biggest trip of their life and hope they got it right. That is the job. Every recommendation comes from firsthand experience: hotels I have stayed in, islands I have walked, partners I know by name. Because my couples keep coming back, about half my work today is anniversaries, babymoons, and family trips with three generations in tow. I work directly with every client. No call centers, no handoffs. You know where to find me.

My husband and I first met Jim Augerinos 6 years ago when he planned our Honeymoon. He set us up at the Regent Palms in the Turks and Caico's. It was an amazing trip. We even got upgraded to a room with a 1 bedroom wrap around balcony with an amazing view of the ocean. It was the most relaxing 8 days of our lifes! Jim was wonderful, before we left he gave us a long list of restaurants. As well as great day activies and good charter services to use for boat trips, snorkeling etc. Fast forward 3 years and we wanted to take a trip with our 18 month old daughter. We explained this to Jim and he immediately presented us with the idea of the Crane in Barbado's. This place has a beautiful beach and pools but the best part was the room. We had a one bedroom villa with a pool. It was a great place to come with a child because we had our own kitchen to make kid friendly meals. The Crane has outstanding coy pools that are daughter enjoyed and gardens as well. Another well done trip. We really appreciated that Jim sent us to a place that was appropriate and fun for people traveling with kids. Last May after having another baby we decided that we needed another couples trip and Jim sent us to the Viceroy in Anguilla. It was such a great trip and very romantic. Again, Jim provided us with a great email outlining activies as well as restaurants. Jim had recently travel there so we knew all of his restaurants were tried and true! Thankfully he has impeccable taste and we had 5 nights of terrific dinners and wine. This June Jim is sending our family of 4 back to the Turks and Caicos to stay at the Veranda. We orginially thought we wanted to go back to the Crane but Jim thought it would be neat to try something new! We are staying at the Veranda. Again another perfect family place from what Jim tells us. We trust him to plan all of our trips. Everything from the planning booking has always been unbelievable. I wouldn't plan a trip myself. I like having someone who has the experience and has been to some of the suggested places and for us that is Jim. As you can see I've used Perfect Honeymoons for 6 years and so should you. Don't plan an important trip by yourself! Many thanks for helping us create amazing family memories!! read more

Jim...you did it again! Jim and his team are nothing short of AMAZING! I can be a harsh critic, but I have been impressed with him throughout the entire process. I must have said "wow" (and some other more colorful words) at least once a day on both trips based on their exceptional customer service. You pick up a package and everything is complete and booked. He takes time to answer all of my MANY questions and is straight forward. I know they must be busy, but I truly felt like I was their one and only client and they never made me feel like a burden, nor did they ever make excuses for anything. They just got the job done! We can not rave enough about Jim and the trips he puts together. He put together the most perfect trip for us 5 years ago to Bora Bora, Tahiti and Moorea. Everything was done perfectly and top notch. Not a glitch and if upgrades were available we got them! Dinners were perfect, hotels amazing and it was a trip of a lifetime. My husband contacted him for our 5 year anniversary trip to Napa...as a surprise....and, he did it again! We are just returning and it was perfect. Something waiting in the room, perfect food, perfect accommodations. Everyone knew it was our anniversary, everytime I turned around I was shocked and found myself smiling! I never knew going to Napa could be so perfect, I am ready to start planning the next trip. We sure wont be waiting 5 years again! Thank you so much for making our anniversary and honeymoon the most stress-free and enjoyable event of our lives! All we had to do was pack our bags and show up - every little detail was thought of and taken care of. We will definitely use Jim and Perfect Honeymoons & Holidays again, and recommend his services to anyone looking to spend a romantic holiday with a special someone! As good as it gets......This has been a refreshing experience, although they have set a high bar for customer service, so it will be a wake-up call working with people in the real world again. When the right people find the right career path and are truly dedicated to it, the results so obviously surpass what you normally witness on a daily basis. I guess that's what is referred to as being exceptional, and Jim and his team definitely exceeded the norm. read more

Jim and the Perfect Honeymoon team are amazing. We went into our first meeting with Jim with a rough idea of what we wanted in mind. With just a few details about our preferences he was able to come up with a plan that was exactly what we were looking for. While Jim did provide his top recommendations, he provided us with a few similar destinations and multiple hotel options so we could pick something that worked into our budget and style. The fact that Jim and his team have actually been to almost every place imaginable really sets them apart. They can tell you what the sand on each beach is like, how each hotel room is different, and what exactly at each restaurant is the best dish. It is also helpful that Jim knows the owners/managers of all of these places! For the first leg of our trip in Antigua, Jim was able to talk to the owner (a friend of his) to get us a free upgrade to an amazing hillside villa on a last minute request. The staff knew we were with Jim and took note. This continued with our trip to St Bart's at the Eden Rock, where we were personally greeted by the manager of the resort who had been with Jim recently. He ensured the entire staff knew who we were and get the best treatment possible. Also, we were greeted in our room with a bottle of champagne on the Perfect Honeymoon's team. However, just planning a great trip wasn't what the Perfect Honeymoons team was all about. Through each step of the way Jim was able to provide us with fantastic advice and suggestions. He was also extremely helpful when we had any issues, and was available day or night to help us. We couldn't say enough great things about the Perfect Honeymoon's team. They were recommended to us by several friends who have had identical experiences, and we plan to use Jim and the team for our next adventure. read more

We were referred to Jim by friends of ours who used him for their honeymoon. We shared with him what we were looking for and he came up with a couple of islands that seemed to fit the bill. He gave and send us information on each of them, along with details so that we could compare and contrast which destination would be best for us. Like so many other couples out there, we had very little time to plan the honeymoon. With Jim's input, we picked St. Bart's, French West Indies. Jim gave us great input in regard to what the hotel/resorts were like which helped make it easy for us to find the one that fit our interest the best. Once we confirmed the island and the hotel, Jim found us deals that made our stay more econimical and enjoyable. It was the perfect island, along with the perfect hotel to stay at for us. He was very easy and friendly to work with. In today's day and age with the internet and reviews, you would think why do I need to use a travel agent. Well, he told us things that we would have never found by searching online...that, and it was a no stress/sweat process for us. i highly recommend Perfect Honeymoons and Holiday Travel to anyone looking to book a vacation without the added stress of booking a vacation. Lastly, we enjoyed his services so much that we have already referred a friend who has booked her honeymoon with Jim as well. read more

Jim managed to plan the perfect honeymoon for two world travelers who have pretty much been everywhere and done anything. It was a big challenge for him (and us) to narrow down where to go, but we went to Costa Rica for two weeks and wouldn't have changed a thing. Jim planned something that was unique and involved our interests including sustainable travel, options for some serious hiking and whitewater, plenty of out of the way adventures and not only that he planned it in such a way where we didn't have to worry about a thing. Not connections not drivers not internal flights - nothing. On top of that, while we were there we showed up to our hotels often with complimentary massages and once a complete room upgrade! It was great and one of the most fun and relaxing vacations. More importantly, we could not have planned this ourselves. We wouldn't have known where to begin, but he turned it around in three or four days. It was one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning in fact. If we do a big trip again, Jim will be planning it - even if it isn't our honeymoon. If you think you are a jaded world traveler who could do this on your own, think again. Just go to Perfect Honeymoons and get just that! read more

My wife and I just returned from our incredible ten-night honeymoon to Tahiti (first night), Moorea (the next four nights), and Bora Bora (for the last five nights). To say that it was the most amazing trip we have ever been (or likely ever will be) on is almost an understatement. Jim Augerinos of Perfect Honeymoons and Holidays put together a beautifully planned out (with some fun little surprises along the way) adventure for us that exceeded our wildest dreams and that was perfectly in our price range. While we were hopping around the Society Islands Jim even provided us with the most extensive list of food/excursion recommendations that he had personally vetted which was truly the cherry on top. Highlights on Moorea definitely include the private jungle bungalow with a plunge pool that we stayed in and swimming with dolphins (slightly overpriced for the actual length of the excursion) and on Bora Bora it was definitely the over-water bungalow and the private island tour/picnic we went on that had ray feeding and a chance to swim with sharks. On our trip home we were already planning the next trip we want to take with Jim and Perfect Honeymoons. Does anyone have any recommendations for Greece? read more

Jim from Perfect Honeymoons was highly recommended to me by my cousin and her husband, who had used his services for their honeymoon in Tahiti. My husband and I were completely overwhelmed with trying to book our experience ourselves, so we gave Perfect Honeymoons a call. Jim asked us what we were looking for in our honeymoon. Thankfully, we were on the same page with what we wanted. After some discussion, Jim recommended Jumeirah Vittaveli in the Maldives with a couple of days in Dubai tagged on the end. Honestly, I thought that there would be no way that the resort would be as nice as it looked for the price. I was absolutely wrong - it was AMAZING. We mentioned that views, service and food quality were high on our list and we got more than we could've asked for. The staff was absolutely amazing. In addition, Jim helped to get us seats with a bit more legroom and provided helpful travel folios that came in very handy, particularly when going through customs in Dubai. I would highly recommend Jim and Perfect Honeymoons to coordinate your travel plans. My husband and I plan to use Jim's services again in the very near future. read more

Jim at Perfect Honeymoons "hit the nail on the head"! Planning a wedding and honeymoon can be overwhelming, but Jim took away that stress! In 2 visits he did it all! On our first visit, we filled out a questionnaire to determine the best destination and fit for us! We were initially undecided on our destination, but Jim helped us realize the perfect place for us was Greece and the Greek Islands. We gave him a credit card and he planned, booked and coordinated our entire honeymoon! We were treated as celebrities at each transfer with someone to lead us in the right direction, the rooms all had fantastic views and special honeymoon amenities (i.e. flowers, champagne). Jim did everything! He even gave us recommendations on a trip we took to Hawaii before our honeymoon. On our 2nd visit we met Jim right before our departure to pick up boarding and destination documents and Jim had everything organized in a small portfolio, which we took on our honeymoon. I give Jim 5 out of 5 stars! read more

Jim Augerinos with Perfect Honeymoons was fantastic. We had a wonderful experience meeting with him to book our honeymoon, and he let us know that because we were booking a trip to Mexico in hurricane season, there was a possibility that we may have to change our plans at the last minute. He included travel insurance in our booking and assured us that he could help rebook if necessary. Sure enough, the day before our flight, we learned that a hurricane was heading for our resort in the Riviera Maya (Secrets Maroma Beach) and would affect the area for the entire duration of our trip. We called Jim and he found us several options for last-minute alternatives. He ended up securing us a flight and a stay at another property of the same resort company (Secrets St. James) with nearly all of the same perks that we had originally booked - and he did it all eight hours before we took off. I can't speak highly enough about Jim and Perfect Honeymoons. We had the trip of a lifetime! read more

My wife and I have used Perfect Honeymoons to plan our honeymoon and one year anniversary. We worked with Jim and our experience was great both times. Jim built vacation packages tailored specifically to us and was able to stay well within our budget. Jim is our human trip advisor. He has vacationed all over the world and can offer honest reviews for a lot of destinations. My wife and I will continue to use Perfect Honeymoons for all of our vacations. Give Jim a call. You will not be dissapointed! During our one year anniversary, my wife and I really didn't like the resort we chose. We called Jim from Mexico and he offered to book us at another resort. This resort was several hundred dollars more and Jim offered to pay the balance without hesitation. That is what you call superb customer service! Jim was a life saver who talked the talk and walked the walk! Perfect Honeymoons is the best! read more

Jim at Perfect Honeymoons was a great help when it came to planning out dream honeymoon. He was always available for an appointment and was knowledgeable about all the destinations we asked about. We ended up choosing Hawaii, the islands of Kauai and Maui. Jim planned a great trip for us based on us telling him what we enjoyed and things we'd like to do once we arrived. He had the best recommendations for must-do's while we were on the islands and the best hotels to stay at. On the final visit before our trip, we were given a portfolio of all our travel documents, plus some helpful tips on restaurants and such while we were away...this was extremely helpful as we didn't have to do a thing but show up at the airport. Thanks Jim for all your help! We will definitely recommend Perfect Honeymoons to all our friends and family for their honeymoon or vacation needs. Megan & Lawrence Flagg read more

Jim planned the most incredible honeymoon for me and my husband in the Greek Islands. Everything -- from the amazing accommodations, to the seamless travel between islands, to his restaurant and activity recommendations -- was perfect and spot on. We stayed in four different hotels, and each were amazing... great locations, amazing hospitality, and unique to the island we were staying on. My husband and I definitely would not have known to pick these hotels without Jim's help. It is clear that Jim spent a lot of time and effort planning a trip that was exactly what we wanted (in fact, even better than we imagined!) and in the price range we wanted. We definitely plan to use him again for future trips we take and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking to plan a honeymoon! read more

Perfect Honeymoons is the ONLY place to go if you are planning your honeymoon or really ANY trip. We have used Jim in the past for a trip and thought we would see what he had to offer for our honeymoon. We wanted to go for an extended time and two locations......Jim figured out the perfect combination! Rather than wasting an extra day of travel we went to St Lucia and stayed on two different sides of the island! (who would have thought of that!?) It was perfect, Sandals was fun and all inclusive.....and Jade Mountain was like a different world! I am not sure I will be satisfied with any resort ever again after Jade Mountain! At the end of the day, Jim spends and unbelievable amount of time with his clients to ensure everything is perfect! What a perfect name! read more

My husband and I took our first trip under Jim's advice for our honeymoon (8 years ago). He planned a once-in-a-lifetime vacation to Fiji and New Zealand. We were so impressed with his recommendations and accommodation selections, we have since used him for 4 additional vacations. He only sends us to the best resorts. He goes the extra mile to make sure our trip is out of this world. He is so good at knowing "what" we will enjoy and we have NOT been disappointed. We have referred several friends to Jim for their own travel needs and we frequently come across acquaintances who have found him on their own. Jim is an EXPERT in planning memorable vacations and you won't be disappointed with his suggestions. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Jim and the Perfect Honeymoon team. We used Jim on our Honeymoon and have continued to use him for MANY trips since then. Just recently, Jim organized an incredible family get away that allowed for memories of a lifetime! It is the little things that make a difference in life and Jim gets that right every single time. He is incredibly responsive and always provides the "local" side of any destination which make the trips that much more unique. If you are looking for someone who knows the "secret spots" of any destination or a trip of a lifetime you are in great hands with Jim and team. read more

Jim made our honeymoon absolutely amazing! He helped us book our honeymoon to a private island and assisted us in arranging all of our activities for the week. These included a private dinner on the beach, scuba diving, an island tour, and massages. Jim was extremely helpful and really listened to the kinds of activities that we enjoy. He paired us up with a wonderful honeymoon and we are so grateful to him for doing so! Jim is a dream to work with and if you live in the DC area you would be crazy to go anywhere else to plan a honeymoon! Highly recommended. read more

Jim doesn't just plan honeymoons. Of course, he planned the perfect honeymoon in Fiji and New Zealand. But what has made Jim and Perfect Honeymoons special are the trips he planned after our honeymoon. Trips to Costa Rica, Anguilla, and three trips to Mexico demonstrated how he took what he knew about us, and applied it to what we needed at subsequent stages in our lives. Each time there are upgrades and surprises - stuff the DIY traveller never would see. Can't wait to see what he has in store for our upcoming 10 year anni! read more

Working with Jim at Perfect Honeymoon was great. With all the planning for our wedding it was nice not have to worry about planning the honeymoon. Jim met with us and help us narrow down our honeymoon destination. He also gave us great ideas and recommendations and put it all together for us for our trip to Hawaii where we had a great time. We had one incident that happened, but once we let Jim know he was helpful with resolving the issue. We will definitely use him again for our next trip. read more

Jim - Thanks a million for planning what was a perfect honeymoon for us. Anguilla and St. Bart's were exactly the way you explained and really we loved both islands and resorts. You even saved us a bunch of money at the Viceroy and we were upgraded at both resorts...nice! Thanks for all the tips from packing, planning, what to do and see and of course where to eat. All fabulous recommendations. We can't wait to plan our anniversary trip with you. Best, Laura and Lenny read more
