An old-fashioned Barber Shop…read more When I was a child growing up in Brevard, NC, my father and I had a Saturday Ritual. Every Saturday, we would go downtown and get our Hair Cut. Old Fashioned Barber Shop with something like six to eight chairs. Generally, most were occupied, and you waited your turn, and it was more of a social gathering. Back then, it was only 25 cents for a childs haircut. This shop was across the Street from the Courthouse and just up the street from Austins where we had photographs made. Since then, we have moved on to online reservations and pick your stylist and show up and no one pays attention to your allotted time slot. Last night I went onto social media and asked for recommendations in the Denver NC/Cornelius NC Communities. Great response and two shops popped out. Shane's was one and Blended was the other. Called Shane's this morning and it's a true Old School Barbershop. Only two chairs, cash only and cuts were $10 for a child, $20 for an adult and $16 for a Senior. Walk in only with no appointments but it moves quickly. I think my Barber was named Henry and he did an excellent job and it looks the best it has in some time. I highly recommend this shop and I will be back.

(Pro status) He's super friendly which is just icing on the cake but I'm here to talk about his ability to create shape and style with shears, clippers, and a straight razor. I'm impressed!! He's quick, not because he's in a rush, it is because of his knowledge and experience. He's also creative. He knows his stuff.... HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. I've run the gammut locally of the other chains and have ended up with poor service almost across the board. Walked in to this establishment close to closing time today and the are closed tomorrow.
