Book WAY ahead! My…read moregerman shepherd dog is very shy/nervous around new people, and she didn't want me to leave her there... But when I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and CLEAN. I had expected her to pull me toward the door, but she seemed totally happy to stay with her new friends! But with good groomers comes good business... Clean Paws books a few weeks out, so call early!

I specifically instructed them not…read moreto cut my dog's coat too short or shave her face, but when I picked her up, she had been completely shaved. The groomer did not speak with me or explain the decision. When I called later to speak with the manager, I was told the groomer claimed there was a mat on one ear. Even if that was true, it did not explain why her entire body and face were shaved, especially without consulting me first. The manager admitted he was unfamiliar with grooming procedures and simply accepted the groomer's explanation rather than investigating or addressing my concerns. If the requested style could not be achieved, they should have contacted me before making such a drastic change. Ignoring my instructions and failing to communicate was unacceptable. I would not recommend Clean Paws Grooming. Attached are photos, one taken two days before the groom and after the groom. Update: When I spoke to the manager Chris, he had indicated he was going to refund the tip that I had added because they make you pay prior to bringing your dog out. I never received that money back. In response: I received notification that the refund has been issued, although it has not yet appeared in my account. I would also like to clarify that my dog's previous grooming appointment was on 9/28/26 just four weeks before this appointment, and I regularly brushed her myself between visits. Given this, I question the groomer's judgment in deciding that my dog needed to be shaved. I believe she may have seen a long-haired doodle and assumed the coat was matted, which is an unfortunately common issue with this breed. Alternatively, if matting did occur, I have to consider whether it may have happened during the bathing process. Regardless, I had specifically requested that my dog not be cut too short or have her face shaved. Those instructions were not followed, and I remain disappointed with how the situation was handled.

I'm only giving two stars because the reception area and front desk is clean and well kept....the…read morerest is downhill from there. 1) I told them my dog was shy and anxious in new places and could he be kept in a room that is generally quieter with more mellow dogs for play, when I returned I learned he was kenneled downstairs alone with a ton of other loud barking dogs 2) I emailed the owner after this unsatisfactory experience and she didnt get back to me--ever--and I didnt get a bounce back either so she got it. 3) I STILL thought well maybe I'll give this another try since they were so closeby, the third visit and like the 5th person I met who had no idea who my dog was was there....I told her the same situation/shy with other dogs etc/low key play room please/ she takes him downstairs, another young woman comes upstairs with my dog and tosses him in the crazy loudest room with all the roudy dogs. My dog was scared to death, and was standing there frozen while the other bigger dogs humped him. Finally after I pointed and exclaimed, another person went in to break it up. I havent been back here since last August. Stay away. Lastly 4) this place is for people who work nearby who only care about convenience, it might as well be a crappy kennel, its definitely staffed by clueless young people who dont know how to communicate with customers or with their other coworkers. There is a wonderful place in Enfield where my boy goes now, it costs me more in gas to get there but its worth it for my canine family member.

I've been looking for training and daycare for my 4 month old king Shepard. I can NOT believe all…read morethe negative reviews! Every single review is awful for this place. How are they still in business, let alone not sued?!? I would never bring my loved pet here. EVER. I hope everyone thinking about using this place takes the time to read the reviews. Poor dogs! So sad!! Shame on you the ranch at Etna road!!!!
