I submitted a glowing review and recommendation of Renaissance Renovations in 2020, but…read moreunfortunately, I need to rescind that. As part of our apartment renovation, Renaissance installed a stacked washing machine and dryer. Because of the amount of energy each machine requires, they needed to be on separate circuit breakers, and Renaissance identified each of them as being on their own breaker in the electrical panel that Renaissance installed in our apartment as part of the job. Last week our dryer stopped working. During the service call, the technician discovered that Renaissance had installed BOTH the washing machine and the dryer on the circuit labelled Dryer and neither of them on the circuit labelled Washer. This, according to the appliance repair tech, was the cause of the damage to our dryer. We called David, the owner of Renaissance Renovations, to have him rectify the situation that was caused by his electricians. We did not ask him to cover our out of pocket expenses for the repair--which were considerable--but only to move the washing machine to the circuit that it was supposed to be on. David refused. He said the electrician he had used on our job had passed away and, when I pointed out that we hired Renaissance and not the electrician, he said that the one-year warranty on the job had expired. He flatly refused to stand behind the work that his company was responsible for even though there was absolutely no way we could have known about the improper installation until last week when our dryer failed. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend any company that will not stand behind its work.

Highly Recommended!…read more I had a wonderful experience with VisionCraft Construction, Inc. during my bathroom renovation. From start to finish, Frank, Billy, and the entire team were professional, respectful, reliable, and truly a pleasure to work with. I contacted Francesco about doing painting and carpentry in my apartment. His professionalism and…read moreexcitement about his work was immediately evident. I knew he was going to be the contractor I chose because, when I told him I was looking for something Rustic Tuscan, he immediately said, Well there are three ways of achieving that effect---sponge technique, sandbrushing technique, and Venetian plaster. He listed the relative costs as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each. Next time we met (maybe two or three days later), he showed up with large samples of each technique with a couple different color options and variations. I liked that Francesco was always on time and made it a point to be helpful, professional, and polite during every interaction. Things continued to run smoothly as insurance certificates were provided and work began. Any time there was an unexpected issue---such as a pipe in a surprising place that would affect the placement of a mirror cabinet---Francesco would call to let me know and we would meet. He was very self-sufficient and completed the work at a good pace. Francesco applied Venetian plaster---one shade of yellow in the living room and a different shade of yellow in the bedroom, hallway, and foyer. He painted the bathroom and kitchen with semi-gloss celery green paint. In the bathroom, he repaired a water-damaged ceiling, took out an old and ailing mirror, rebuilt some of the wall as necessary, and installed a new beautiful mirror/medicine cabinet and light fixture. I told him before the job started that I wanted those Venetian plaster walls to look like a work of art. Francesco met and exceeded those high expectations. I believe Francesco is already in high demand and foresee him being in only higher demand in the very near future. We are probably catching what will soon be a very renowned interior painter/craftsman early in his career.

Francesco and his team transformed our apartment into something that exceeded our expectations. They worked through a blizzard, freezing rain and sub-zero temperatures and still gave us daily updates AND completed the job on time, including immaculate clean up. BRAVO. Francesco has an artist's eye for detail and perfection. He's also incredibly patient as we went through several color changes, one of them at literally the last minute-- and it didn't seem to phase him. He was completely professional throughout, and keeps a sense of humor and calmness which really helps when you're moving. We really appreciate Francesco's honesty. We wanted something "different" in the bathroom and had purchased wallpaper. Francesco explained the reasons he thought the paper was a bad idea, but wasn't critical. After researching the matter we discovered Francesco was totally right on. The paper would have been problematic down the line. Best of all, he came up with the perfect solution - a beautiful glaze! It covers the entire room including the ceiling and looks like designer wallpaper. The details are amazing! (see photo) . Needless to say, we can't wait to bring him back for our next project. Did I mention it was a great experience!
