I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries through DoorDash and to get free delivery I added 4 chicken wings for $2. It's "Happy Hour" right now and the sandwich w/ fries was less than $12. It was AWESOME! Grilled chicken with grilled onions, bacon, lettuce, cheese and chipotle mayo. It was so filling that I could only eat a few fries which were crispy and perfect. I only took one bite off a wing because I'm so full but it was perfectly crispy and seasoned well even though it traveled 15 minutes.. I really like it! Hubby and I were on a date night and decided to check this place out. We didn't want to valet so we just parked across the street and walked over. The girl at the counter at the front was so sweet! She asked if we were locals and she waved our cover charge which would have been $30 per person. That was so sweet of her. Bouncer walked us to a table near the stage. Right away a girl came over and asked what we'd like to drink and hubby got a red bull vodka and I got a regular red bull. Expensive but what do you expect. One of the bouncers came and told us about their food but unfortunately we had already eaten before we came so I can't tell you how good it was but he showed us a video of the food being made in the back which was funny. Extremely nice guy. The girls all had pretty small boobs but big asses. Halfway through the songs the girls went topless which was nice. I got motorboated by a girl with bigger tits on stage and I loved it. Music was pretty good and the girls were good on stage. All the girls that came to talk to us were extremely nice. One of the girls sat on my lap and hung out with us for a while. We didn't get a back room but will next time. I wanted to get a lap dance on the floor but I guess they stopped it 2 months ago which is lame. The reason I'm giving a 4 star even though I had a great time is because one of the girls that came and sat with us was nice but spoke about her horrible personal life to us the whole time. The waitresses are more attractive than the dancers and every girl here has an attitude like they don't work in the service industry.... A lemon drop cocktail is $17 a drink and a bottle of water is $5 each. If you ask for water they bring you a bottle without telling you beforehand.... This is the most well decorated strip club in Reno but the dancers don't dance (except for one that I've only seen once in dozens of visits) they have great tacos and snacks but be prepared to pay a premium especially if you aren't a local-$50 cover charge for girls just offering lap dances no pole dancing- just don't waste your money here unless you aren't single, lonely and don't know how to shower.... my pov will be from my one visit as a customer and also my very brief experience of working as a dancer here. my boyfriend and i visited peppermint hippo last summer on a wednesday night. i believe it was $20 for the both of us to get in because it was "couple's night". the inside is very large and beautiful - by far the best looking club in reno. there was a decent amount of customers and dancers that night. all of the dancers were attractive and there seemed to be a flavor for everyone here. unfortunately, we had to chase down a dancer to get a room. as a dancer i get that approaching couples is so hit or miss but the least you could do is just come up and say hi. we were throwing money on stage so it's not like we were just sitting there and lurking/being creepy. i also want to point out that we did stray away from the stage waiting to be approached because stripper etiquette tells you that you cannot approach the tip rail when another dancer is on stage. still nothing. anyways, we got a 15 minute room and i believe it was $175? not too bad and it's behind a beaded curtain. the bottle girls will come inside and push you to buy more drinks. now as a dancer i found this place too strict to work at and the staff unfriendly. there's better clubs in reno to work at if thats what you're interested in. edit to add; hippo is the only other club other than men's club that sells food. the tacos are BOMB! i've tried both the chicken and the beef. they're $2 for 4 of them on tuesdays so i highly recommend going on that day but be sure to show the dancers love too. they also have a dayshift which no other club does except for fantasy girls. edit to add again; the music is terrible. it's primarily edm and as a dancer they won't allow you to pick your own music unless you tip the dj. from a customer pov the music is still bad too. the dancers don't look enthused to dance to weird things. they had a big booty girl dancing to a weird rock song. it just didn't fit. read more

But the entertainment here was indeed on a different level and I have to say that for birthday festivities, on a "bronze, silver, or gold" scale this one is definitely "platnum" status. Seeing I don't venture to these establishments too often anymore, (Not that we could even if we wanted too in the last year or so) but this time was a celebration and I needed some.."therapy" yet let's just run with that. Now let me tell you why "Peppermint" with always be a cool "Hippo" in my book.. "Peppermint Hippo" Location - Reno, Nv Price - $25.00 x5 Entertainment - Well, let's just say money was spent :) Peppermint Hippo Reno: The "Peppermint Hippo" is a fairly newer brand in the nightlife industry. The cartoon "South Park" did parody the name in reference to the Deja Vu owned "Spearmint Rhino" (my pun from earlier) and this club is new to Reno..kinda. Even the staff here is getting use to the new moniker and the comparisons to the other minty animal club. Reno has it's options for Gentlemans Club/Cabarets in the area, but this one was a no brainer from my initial call to check on accomodations for my homies and I. The hostess on the phone here was a lot more friendly as compared to two other similar establishments I called and they were nice enough to make sure my party had a spot reserved for our visit upon arrivial. We arrived and received some of the best service I've experienced in a while in this type of establishment and we even were given a cocktail waitress to tend to our table. The main thing about "Gentlemans Clubs" is making sure the patron is happy, the drinks are good and the entertainment aspect of the establishment is top notch. I would step out on a limb and say they knocked it out of the park in every area. Like if I lived in Reno, this would be a place I would definately like to work for....not for the reasons that some may be thinking. The DJ wasn't annoying as some could get and the..entertainment for the night was indeed entertaining. The lighting matched the overall theme of the club although outside....it goes back to that little tale of two clubs thing (Signage still says Platnum Dolls). I will say at the end of my visit, I was satisfied and the impression left was pretty good. Overall: "Peppermint Hippo" is a pretty nice establishment. It's got everything you would expect for the type of business it is. The service was supurb, the venue itself was very well kept and classy, and the overall vibe is just what I was looking for being a visitor to a establisment that is similar to ones I've worked for in the past. I would recommend this club to anyone looking to have a good evening out with friends. If you're a creepazoid however....don't go here killing the vibe. I would be visiting this club of two names again in the near future. read more

I would of saved so much money. The offer doesn't apply when you purchase at the door and I still had to pay a cover for each of us. Online covers are waived. I learned that the hard way. Also ask for a receipt before you sign for the bottle. The price on the menu is not the total I remember getting charged an extra 100 bucks for a 300 bottle. Always ask for a receipt BEFORE you pay. I opened my card statement and I see the first charge that I authorized. Then above it a completely separate charge for over $400! Tried calling their phone number and it's disconnected.
