I found them a few weeks ago when I did a search of stores who actually sell loose leaf tea. The reason I like loose leaf tea versus the garbage sold in the stores is because it comes out way more flavorful, stronger and seems to taste a lot better than the stuff they sell at the grocery. I am also shocked that nobody else has been here before, as I know a few tea drinker who also happen to be active yelpers. Interesting. Anyway, the place is easy to find and right off fourth street and visible from the road. There is street parking, but a parking garage is literally right there on the other side of the street if you need it. As you know, downtown Rochester can get busy at times, so easy places to park is important. Walking in, not only is this place a tea store, but it also sells spices. They also have a ton of cool accessories to choose from throughout, which was really super cool to look at. I've also been on the hunt for the individual honey sticks that seem to be hard to find. Not only do they have the honey sticks, but they came in a variety of flavors? Like flavored honey? Exciting! I just grabbed a packet of regular honey sticks which are sitting in my kitchen now. The spice area has a much larger selection of items, from different varieties of salt, but other seasonings as well. I didn't really study the selection as the place was busy but let me tell you, there's a lot! I went to the tea section and they have all sorts of teas to choose from. I wanted something more citrus/lemon/herbal since I have a sinus infection, but I also wanted to see what else they have. Great selection, pre bagged but make sure you have the steeper's at home. If not, they sell them here too. Service was great, and the staff was knowledgeable. Nobody asked me if I needed help or followed me around the store, but when I did talk to them at check out, these people really seem to be tea oriented and educated on the product. While they aren't cheap by any stretch of the imagination (more along the lines of Starbucks pricing) they are worth every penny. I will be back in the future and I wish they did a better job of advertising!

So the hand germs from the scoop is now in the food, and someone needs to reach in and touch the food in order to retrieve it. Which I saw a customer do. The directions are also unclear, you need to write down all the product codes instead of the large number on the information sheets, which is the price/lb. We did get small portions of 2 types of candy, both which were stale. It was also $6, which is cheap, but I can get x5 the amount of candy at the dollar store or drugstore for that price. The staff member was nice, and there was a regular in there who seemed to come often.

The store personnel took me right to the salt and pepper and answered my questions about the different types of salt and pepper. I selected my salt and pepper and paid less than half of what I would have paid in a traditional store. There were so many different items to browse. I was especially happy to see the bulk coffee beans and the coffee grinder! I love vanilla tootsie roll midgets and found them in bulk here...they are so very hard to find. Lots of candy, cookies, dog treats and anything you need to make a fancy cake. Huge store with with small prices. Check it out.

The Pinky Up Electric tea kettle is $79.99, it's $49.99 on Amazon. :( The Utilitea electric kettle is $99.99, couldn't find this one on Amazon, there are similar ones for under $40, stainless steel. It'd be nice if you could maybe try out some tease, not saying I need to smell or taste every one of them, but my husband ended up bringing down some of the jars so I could smell them myself. It's a delicious tea that I am enjoying as I write this review. Relative to staff, the folks working at this business are quite friendly and very knowledgeable about their teas and and are there to help guide you in selecting a tea based on your personal tastes. You are allowed to open the large tea jars to sniff which is a great assistance in helping you make a selection where my nose was my guide in selecting my tea along with the staff's input. Nice! My only gripe about this business is there are no ready made samples to taste like you find in other shops like this and/or the ability to order a hot tea of your choice to try. I really find that tea shops that offer this definitely help you avoid getting a tea you are unhappy with once you get home and make your first pot. Having said that, this shop is an excellent spot to get fine tea and should not be missed if good tea and spices are your thing.

I have a blend of 50% hazelnut and 50% chocolate and it's heavenly--it's my favorite coffee of all time! I also have a bag of half coconut and half caramel and wow! As you can tell, I like some sweetness and these blends were just my style. My mom is a serious coffee drinker and they recommended 80% French roast and 20% super dark roast. My mom loved it!!! They definitely have something for everyone and can match you with your perfect coffee blend. I bought several treats with nuts in it, like pistachios, and some chocolates too. Everything was delicious! There are opportunities to sample things throughout the store too. There are so many treats and products to choose from, and it's organized beautifully. The worker was very helpful even though she seemed to be the only person there she was doing a great job. During busy times on Middlebelt it can be a little difficult if you are heading south but there is an entry further north in the shopping plaza that you can use that makes it better. The store is unique as there are 'robots' displayed around the room above the food displays. They are easy to miss if you don't look up! I believe the robots would sell very well also but they don't seem to be for sale. I have never seen anything like them anywhere else. This location is great for packaged and bulk candy but I am reluctant with the powdered items. The powdered items are separated in two groups but I don't know why they were split up. In any case the same situation applies to the cereals. They appear to be of good quality but the manner in which they are stored gives me question. The place is well lit and the staff is friendly. The floors could use a sweeping, mop and polish! Great place for savings and quality candy and some baking needs.
