Reasonably priced, quirky, fun place for Italian food (and they have a Gelato stand). I had rump…read moresteak in wine sauce; about $26 Euros. Good though a little over-salted (wish they would have left the steak unsalted and allow the diner to choose). Quality of the steak was good; lean yet tender. Accompanied by a small salad and whole roasted baby potatoes. I recommend sticking with pizza and pasta here. Seeing the various offerings brought to others, that seems to be the way to go. The place was really busy on a Sunday night at 10 pm. Service was a bit slow with the workers struggling to keep up. Overall, an interesting and fun place; don't expect gourmet but fine for pizza and Margheritas.

This place has good beer, but man oh man, the cocktails need A LOT of work. My buddy and I each had…read morea Kellerbier which was hoppy and a little bitter -- quite nice, refreshing, and something different. The cocktail prices looked good so we tried some. First we had a Bombay Crushed which tasted flat and bitter -- probably Gordon's instead of Bombay Sapphire and flat sparkling water. I then tried a different drink, some fruity cocktail with a funny name, which was also quite bad. But the service was nice and the prices, as mentioned, were quite reasonable. So I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, and if I did, I'd be drinking the beer... but it's not a bad place.

2.5 stars. From…read moreafar, this place looks attractive: brightly lit place in the middle of the open and usually empty square, seemingly bringing life to the area. However, the inside doesn't quite match my first impression. The place was practically empty when we went for dinner. One waitress--granted that she was nice, neither she nor the food was not fast. It seemed like there were 15 minutes among getting menus, ordering, getting the food (soup and then entree) and paying, and it felt drawn out sitting in a brightly lit but practically empty place. Perhaps the restaurant would be more pleasant to stay if there were more people (it was the holiday season, so perhaps we went at the unfavorable time). Food was so-so. A good selection of various food, so there were lots to choose from (and they are English friendly with their menu). I started with the potato and mushroom soup, which was great (especially for the cold weather). Then I got the basil risotto with mushroom and fried rocket, and that was way way way tooooo greasy! It was hard to eat one bite without feeling greasy all over my mouth. Flavors were there, but it was doused in oil--not good. Meh.
