IF i could give -5 stars I would. This is the worst, laziest, most incompetent bunch of folks I've dealt with in years. Like another reviewer stated, internet is so slow that its unusable. ping times are more often in the 800-1500ms range. When you call in, it magically fixes itself and then 10-15 minutes later, it's slow again. I pay for bonded DSL that supposed to be 10 Mbps (business class) and see pics for actual throughput from their own custom speedtest. I have 1 device running right now at 4:43 AM AND THIS IS WHAT I GET! Switching to 903broadband this week and can't wait. I've been dealing with these incompetent A**holes for 1.5 years and I can't wait to kick them to the curb. To add insult to injury, they will charge 75.00 to come out and resolve their own network problems. This is total BS! I own a business and if I turn out a defective product and have to visit my customers site, I don't get to charge them for that (nor would I ever!). The attached photos are from THEIR ROUTER! I have been using Peoples Internet for a few years now and I couldn't be happier. I was formerly on satellite, but by the middle of the month I was out of data. I am in a rural area and so I put a tower up and Peoples Internet gave me the best service I've had. It may be a little slower than satellite, however, to have unlimited data is well worth it. It's fast enough in that we have 3 phones, 1 tablet, 3 Computers, and 3 TV's using the internet every day. We have Roku and watch movies all the time without a problem, and at times when there is a problem, when I call them they are quick to work on the problem to get it resolved. I honestly have no complaints. They are very professional and friendly to deal with and I highly recommend them to anyone who can get their service. read more

Terrible internet service. Not much choice of ISP's in area. Pay for 6 Mbps down and only see that speed once in a while normally done around 1 Mbps. Call in for repair and it starts to work for maybe an hour. then slows back down. read more

I have spoken with multiple officers from this Company. I was set up for service on Thursday 10-05-2017. The company had an outage that needed to be corrected and thus my install and other new installs were placed on hold. I was told that I would be contacted by Monday or Tuesday the following week but was not contacted. I contacted this company on Tuesday evening only to be told that they were supposed to contact me on Wednesday. I was not contacted on Wednesday. I contacted the People's on Thursday and was told that an email had been sent and I should be contacted sometime soon. Finally, Friday, 10-13-2017, I was actually contacted about my new install. My install was set for today, Monday 10-16-2017. All along the way, I asked the People's representatives if they would be willing to waive my $99 install fee because of the delay and failure to communicate and was steadily put off. This morning, 10-16-2017, I contacted People's to verify that I wouldn't have to pay the $99 install fee. They had to leave a message to have someone return my call. Trey Chilton called me and told me that they wouldn't be able to wave the $99 install fee. When I asked him why, Trey told me that they wouldn't waive the fee because they didn't want to. I told Trey that I would be contacting his supervisor. I just got off the phone with Keith Kendal, Trey's Supervisor. Keith stuck with the fact that they are not going to waive the $99 install fee. Keith advised that if they waived my fee then they would have to waive the fees of all the other people that had to be postponed and that that wouldn't be fair. I told Keith that I was disappointed with the fact that People's didn't have good enough customer service to understand that their future customers had been inconvenienced and that was worth something to them. He said he was sorry I felt that way but he stood by his decision. Bottom Line - People's Telephone/Ignyte Wireless Internet does is not concerned with good customer service but they are more concerned with being greedy. They were willing to not make any money off of me because they were not willing to waive $99. I'm sure that they would have made much more money than that off of me over the long run. Complete morons said I can get service at my home. So i Ask for an application to be sent to my residence. Never received the application and needed Internet right away. So instead of waiting for another application to be sent to my residence I drove to Quitman almost 45 minutes away only to find out they don't service my area!!!!!
