A helicopter sight-seeing tour was the way to go! For over a month, I had emailed back and forth with Alan the owner of Magnum Helicopters, and he was more than willing to answer ANY questions I had as a first time flyer. My room was warmly decorated in Lodge style furnishings and clean, plush bedding. There was even a cute Moose rug next to my bed! My room was very clean and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful and brought me towels, kleenex, and extra coffee supplies with a smile. The place is very peaceful and I so enjoyed the tranquil pond views and watching and feeding the ducks and geese. I will recommend this place to everyone I know who travels to this area of Michigan. The LA Cafe restaurant is right next door with great food, baked goods and expresso coffee drinks. Convenient! I saw the previous bad reviews from a few individuals and can only imagine that they are not happy in many areas of their life.
