Save yourself the headache and just go somewhere else. I reserved a vehicle thru the app, and prior…read moreto going up there I decided to try calling to make sure they had vehicles. Of course nobody ever answers the phone. When I show up and walk in, guy behind the counter immediately asks "Can I help you?". So I ask him how are you doing, to which he again replies, "Can I help you?" Fine, whatever. Customer service is a lost set these days anyways. He pulls up my reservation, then tells me all he has is this old looking minivan. Hmmm, no thanks. Had to go all the way to Vero Beach, way out of my way and over an hour total in the wrong direction. Thanks but no thanks and good job Avis/Budget!

I would suggest never renting from this location or utilizing budget in general. I have moved…read moremultiple times and utilized several rental companies for a moving truck and this was the worst. On my journey halfway across the United States, I stopped to gas up and noticed the DEF gauge was still reading full. I investigated further and could not see any fluid in the DEF tank. Shortly after this I hopped back in the truck and as I started to drive away the Park Brake Not Set light appeared on the dash and emitted an extremely loud and obnoxious tone. I stopped and attempted to get the noise and light to go away to no avail. I called budget and the gentleman on the other end couldn't be bothered. He said maybe a wire was lose and proceeded to end the call. So I drove for the next 9 1/2 hours with this light and constant dinging. Stopping for fuel again, now the check engine light comes on. I cal roadside assistance and was transferred 3 times and left on hold. After waiting for 15 min, I decided to continue on my journey with them on hold. The call was eventually disconnected with no answer from the other side. After all of this experience and speaking with customer service 3 times, I was offered a $60 refund. For driving 9 1/2 hours with that sound on and your personnel not caring obviously you do not want my business.

DO NOT USE BUDGET TRUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!…read more I rented a truck in March of 2015. This truck was supposed to take me safely from Port St. Lucie, Florida to the state of Pennsylvania. I drove for less than one hour, and the tire light on the dash board of the truck came on. I called the rental office, and they told me to pull off the high way and check the tire pressure. I fortunately pulled off at a Travel Centers of America--the place where truckers have their vehicles serviced, and asked if someone could help me to check my tires. The kind man checked the pressure, as the Budget rental office said I should, and then he suggested that one of the tires was DANGEROUS to drive on. He said the sidewalls of the tire were bulging and that the tire tread was beginning to separate, and that if he were me, he wouldn't drive on that tire. So I called the Budget Roadside Assistance number, and they listened to what I told them, and said they would call me back with information. I sat for several hours before calling and asking my husband to please talk to the folks at the rental office, as every time I tried to call Roadside Assistance back, my call would not go through. My husband was able to go into the office, and refused to leave until my issue was resolved. I sat for NEARLY FIVE HOURS waiting to have that truck tire replaced, and I am sure that it would have been longer had my husband not intervened. I drove for another day, and the tire light came back on. And then one more day, and the engine light came on. I was sick of problems, and still had a 4+hundred miles to drive, and three days left on the original rental agreement. I could not be delayed any longer. So I called the local Budget rental office in Greensboro, NC (on Wendover) and he said he had a truck at his place that he would be happy to hold for me for an hour. Sick of problems with this truck, I decided to take up a new truck. The guy said, "but you will have to open a new contract". I wanted to get home without any more breakdowns, or worse, driving an unsafe vehicle. When I got to my destination to drop off the truck, the lady who checked it in said that one contract should have been rolled into the next,( in other words, that I shouldn't have had to pay twice) and that I shouldn't have been charged again. She said to call the Customer Service number, expect to spent two hours on the phone , that I should be reimbursed the second amount that I paid as a resolution. The bottom line is, that when I calle"Budget Customer Service," the man that I spoke to at the Budget Customer Service line said that he would deal with one truck rental contract at a time. He agreed to compensate me $51.35 for my time when I sat waiting for the tire replacement. I asked to be reimbursed for the hotel that I could not make it to, and he quickly agreed to that. He said , "OK,mam, I am going to reimburse your credit card for this amount on the first contract. and I thanked him. As for the second contract that I singed in Greensboro, On Wendover Avenue, the one that I signed so that I could get home safely, and get home in time, he said there was nothing that he could do because I had already been reimbursed for the first contract, and I failed to call Roadside Assistance. (the folks who let me sit for five hours the first time the truck broke down). I had to pay rental, and insurance twice for the three remaining days, and was ABSOLUTELY REFUSED any compensation. So here is MY advice: If you want to GETto your destination, and want to get there safely--I am thinking of all those kids who move for college, and move for jobs--DO NOT USE BUDGET RENTAL TRUCKS!!!!! You will REGRET the experience! They only care about themselves, and are not interested in their customers. They do not have integrity and they will take your time and money in the end!
