Something that impressed me so much was that there was a group of folks that came in late from the airport that missed the dinner service. I've had involuntary layovers before but this was definitely one of those experiences that lightens the mood. Erik, his lovely family, and amazing staff run a surprisingly modern hotel in a small village just 30 minutes north of Munich. The restaurant was good and the staff and service were even better. Just be warned that there isn't really any walkable convenience stores nearby but they do have vending machines across the road for drinks beverages and more. However, they require German IDs so you will need to have to ask the friendly staff to get some for you.

The hotel is clean and the service and rooms are adequate. There is a charge for underground parking that is seldom available, because most of the spaces in the garage are reserved for the adjacent office building. The is a small charge for WiFi; a service that is now commonly available without charge throughout Germany. The breakfast buffet is nothing special like it used to be and the server was a little rude and lazy. It is close to the airport and the train station is a five minute walk. If you have to be in Erding, this is probably your best option, but if you don't need to stay in Erding, you might want to look elsewhere.

The room was very cold, because the window was open. I closed the window, before we left to catch a train to Munich. When we got back, I realized why they had the window open.....because of a funny smell in the room. After a few minutes in the room, we didn't notice it anymore. When I went to sleep that night, I noticed my pillow smelled like a skunk. Not all of it, but certain areas of the pillow. Bottled water, and beer were in the room, along with 2 apples. Nice shower with plenty of pressure. Only English channels were BBC and CNN. Breakfast was very good with sausages and scrambled eggs with cheese. Vending machine near elevator had €1.50 bottle cokes. Their restaurant is very good.

Price was fair and the accommodations were clean. Because we couldn't take advantage of their breakfast in the morning, the nice person at the front desk reduced our price that we'd booked at. There also is an ATM within walking distance and a gas station nearby too. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are always spotlessly clean and surprisingly quiet, considering its so close to the train station. The breakfasts are great and in a very nice room on the first floor. There is an excellent Italian restaurant attached and i have eaten most things on the menu. i would like to be able to book the food to the room and pay on exit from the hotel, but as they are separate businesses this is not usually possible.
