First time attending this fair. It was a lot of fun. The concerts, mostly country, are included with your general admission. That's really nice considering the entertainment is not just cover bands and washed out old one-hit wonders from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. We saw Twitty and Lynne; Conway's grandson and Loretta's granddaughter. They were surprisingly very similar to their grandparents. The stage was nicely set up and good seating was available. It felt like stepping back in time. Midway rides and games with lots and lots of people crowding the walkways. The exhibit halls were full and there were plenty of food vendors throughout the fairgrounds (albeit there wasn't much in the way of specialty fair foods that you can't get anywhere else...) The only real drawback was that many of the vendors only accept cash and those who do take plastic are charging fees to use a card. I didn't bring enough cash thinking cash might not be accepted, based on the Blue wahoo stadium policy of only accepting credit/debit cards for payments. Totally my own fault. But, if you go be sure to take cash with you. read more

I've lived in Pensacola for a few years but had yet to venture out to the Interstate Fair. I'm so happy I went this year!!! What fun! It's a condensed fair but it has everything you'd expect for a fair to offer! Corn dogs, turkey legs, variety of food options, music shows, some acrobatics, livestock, contests, art, and more! I went on e and planned to stay for about 2 hours but I ended up enjoying myself SO MUCH that I stayed until close! I'll be venturing back next year for sure! read more

So this year, as cheap as these guys are, they are promoting half price admission up until October 15th or something like that. Entrance will be $14 and they are selling early purchases for $7. When you get to the checkout area, for the first time ever, they are charging tax on that $7 so it's not really $7, it's more like $8.50 which is ridiculous. As if we aren't paying enough everywhere else, these guys are now charging not only tax on admission tickets but also on early parking prices! Unbelievable. Forget it. read more

There are multiple parking lots, so parking was easy, $5 for the car. Getting in for two adults $28 and if you know where the shows are and have the time for them that is cool, also plenty of exhibitions which featured local schools and the public in general, as well as local clubs such as the Rock club, the wood carving club, Ham Radio, model railroad, and others. They had a car show too. Plenty of animals to see including a seal show. Food, ah fair food, $30 for a bratworst with sauerkraut, a hot dog with chili and cheese and a small fry, add $9 for a pepsi and mich ultra. We purchased a few items some Jam, Pickles, some peanut brittle and a cool Mexican Onyx carving of a monk. Thank goodness we did not have kids that would have added $30 a kid for rides, and we did not play games because the ones we saw were a min of $10each to play. I dont see how a family of four today handles it. But it was fun and a night out with plenty of people. read more

( I am only reviewing the FOOD at the fair.) I learned that this food is from a food truck from Chicago, IL that was a part of the Pensacola Interstate Fair. I knew we didn't have such good Mexican food in Pensacola! You can definitely taste the difference! The tacos were so yummy and the asada nachos were out of this world! The pineapple agua fresca was delicious! They had other flavors and let you sample them all but my favorite was the pineapple! Try the street corn on the cob with mayo and parmesan cheese, thank me later!! read more

We really thought the fair would be canceled this year, but yay it was not! It's been a tradition each year for my daughter. Plus this year would be the first time my daughter and I will get to go with my husband! The three of us had a blast on opening night, which was also dollar day! Meaning $1 for each admissions (age 3 and under are free) and $1 per ride (minimum of 10 tickets). We purchased $10 for ride tickets. We went to the reptile exhibit like last year and saw the tortoise named Sparticus! Before we even bought ride tickets, we bought a medium bag of cotton candy. Our daughter was begging us for some cotton candy, while we waited in line for the entrance to the fair. There were people who wore masks and there were also people who didn't wear any. We wore masks, to be safe. Some rides followed social distancing by not allowing passengers to be seated between seats. Some rides had cleaning (spray with some cleaner or liquid and wiped off with a towel - doubt it's thorough or sanitary enough). We had a great time together and I can't wait for next year to make more family time memories! read more

Two words: traffic control. Take a couple of the officers parking cars in the lot and put them out on the intersection of Pine Forest and 90 to keep the traffic moving. It's not that hard. Once you get inside, the lines for ride tickets were very long and probably would have added another hour to our wait so we just continued on, expecting plenty of other activities to enjoy. But the Fair is 90% carnival and 10% "other", and the other ranged from just okay to dismal. read more

Large amount of rides and options for every age! This is the second year I've gone and I've enjoyed it both times, the food is good and the games are plentiful. The only problem I had is each year there's a few employees who are jerks and always buzzkill my group's mood, I'm wondering how they even got hired. Other than that it's great! read more

Disabled people have no way of getting around easily. I had to show my ID for my credit card and the cashier gave me a look that said this isn't you. Then asked if that was really me in the ID. I was in a coma and am terminally ill, so my ID looks nothing like me now. I actually cried walking in. My night with my two daughters was depressing. I tried to get happy. I wish I could do a redo and make it better but I can't afford to. read more

We tried a ton of Food but the best was the deep fried tacos (we got chicken) basically a chimichanga but bigger and way better. My husband and I told them they need to open a restaurant it was that good. read more

We recently attended the 4th annual Para Con last weekend here. It's a medium sized venue that help this clearly well attended event with an hour long line wait for the weekend. Plenty of parking and we had a good time, will plan better for next year though. read more

Being born and raised in Pensacola, I made a special trip from my home in Nashville, TN to attend the fair as my spouse was part of the entertainment performing on the Pepsi Open Air Stage. I have never been to a venue that lets their "fair pass" override "artist credentials". Is the fair personnel really that desperate for the $12 entrance fee? The security/fair personnel at the VIP gate was very rude and disrespectful to the artist affiliated guests. The "so called" security at the show was pathetic. They did not keep the aisles clear nor keep the front of the stage clear. Needless to say, I did NOT fell safe or secure. I understand that this "so called sheriff of Escambia county" no longer allows our deputies to provide off-duty security at the fair. What an idiot! This is the last time I will attend the fair and will not recommend it to anyone again. read more
