Moved from Sydney to Millingandi(far south coast of NSW)with a 2 week storage period…read more Everything went as smoothly as we hoped. Kent did all the packing.Only 1 broken light bulb. All the staff in admin and the movers were very pleasant too deal with. The cost seemed totally reasonable. I would highly recommend Kent to anyone.

Use Kent if you enjoy stress, poor communication & unreliable service…read more I had a very disappointing experience with Kent Removalists and would not recommend their service. To begin with, my furniture was collected in QLD outside the scheduled time, with no prior call or notice despite their team's "reassurance". There was also no proper confirmation of what was collected, and it appears a signature may have been recorded without my clear acknowledgement. Things only got worse with delivery. The original delivery date in VIC was changed multiple times without any proactive communication. I was first told it would arrive 2 days earlier than scheduled, and then the day before that revised date, I had to take urgent annual leave to accommodate. On the actual day, no one contacted me at all. I had to follow up myself, only to be told the delivery was postponed to the following Monday due to a so-called "safety concerns." Had I not called, I would not have been informed. The final delivery ended up being scheduled 3 days later than the agreed contract date. A manager later admitted it was in fact a system error, not the "safety concerns" explanation originally provided. While a 10% partial refund was eventually offered after escalation, the impact had already been significant. I was forced to take three separate days of annual leave, repeatedly explaining the situation to my employer, which understandably reflects poorly on me. Overall, this experience reflects a serious lack of communication, accountability, and operational reliability. For a service that is supposed to reduce the stress of moving, this created the exact opposite. The only exception was Rodney Spink, the sales representative, who was the only one to communicate proactively throughout the process.

The 3 young fellas who came out and actually did the work were wonderful, the problem came when I…read moreasked for a receipt for the $650.00 dollars I was handing over. They could not find the receipt book that was meant to be in the truck so called the boss. Jason, (the owner?/boss) wanted me to pay an extra $65.00 for a tax invoice, then when he realized I was disabled and thought I was going to be covered through the NDIS he wanted me to pay even more and give him MY NDIS member number which I refused to do. I refused to hand over any money until he emailed me a receipt/paid invoice. When he finally did, it did not have an ABN on it and again I refused to pay until he resent it and included the ABN. I will never use this business again or recommend them to anyone, very Dodgy business practices. Even the workers were horrified and apologized profusely for what the owner was trying to pull. Again I cannot speak highly enough of the men who did the actual moving. Polite, thoughtful, and extremely helpful. They even refused to take a tip. But they are not the business and can be working somewhere else tomorrow. But charging me extra for a receipt what the heck is that? and then wanting to charge more because I am disabled, it is ridiculous the way businesses take advantage of people with disabilities because they think the NDIS is paying for something. Even if they were it does not mean you should get to charge more. It is not an endless pool of money and it is taxpayers money so people need to stand up and say this is not okay. After all, it is the Australian people who are funding the NDIS.

The worst move you will ever make. Bad experience, in fact…read morethe worst moving experience of my life. No communication from the office, no management in charge, no system in place. Extremely unprofessional company and I paid top price for it. We are a couple with a small two bedroom house and required our goods to be stored for nearly 4 weeks between homes. This was just way too much organisation for this company to handle and it was a complete debacle from start to finish. The office and management couldn't care less and give no support. I have detailed the entire sorry story and I'm happy to share it with anyone and everyone. I did call the owner of the company at the end of the job and gave him a detailed breakdown of everything that went wrong and his care factor is zero.

This is the most incompetent company I have come across. We had goods stored and insured by them…read moreand when we requested to pick them up leaving us to pay extra storage. When our contractor tried to pick them up the made excuses and eventually said they would deliver to him for $500. I then asked for a signed packing list he was delivering to the contractor but he refused to sen us one so when the goods arrived there were item missing. He then refused to do anything and blamed the other contractor although my goods were insure with him. Then I got a bill for the delivery of the goods with threading emails not eight days or eight weeks but eight months later. Do not use this incompetent bunch of people. As you can guess I told him what to do with the bill.
