Such a fun pumpkin patch and fall festival, plus dog-friendly! Prices were amazing (we literally…read morebrought home eight pumpkins), and there were tons of food trucks, photo ops, games, activities for lils, and pumpkin varieties. We spent a few hours here and had nonstop fun (even when it started raining). People were also super sweet to our dog, which was a huge plus!

I recently visited Picha Farms for strawberry picking. My family used to come here often when I was…read morea kid, and the strawberries still taste as good as I remember! The farm is easy to find. Just follow the directions to the Puyallup stand and the U-pick field is right across the street. There's an outhouse behind the stand if you need a restroom. Otherwise, head straight to the U-pick area, where there's plenty of parking. The check-in is at a small white tent, where they provide cardboard boxes for picking. I went on a Saturday morning. They opened at 9 AM and charged $4.10 per pound. What I really like about this farm is how organized it is. Staff will direct you to a specific row of plants, and you'll use a flag to mark where you stopped picking. It was easy to find plenty of ripe strawberries and we filled two boxes quickly. It's hard to judge the weight by sight, but each box was probably about 7.5 pounds, since the total came to around $60. Two key tips: 1. Check their Facebook page for up-to-date hours and availability, since they change with the weather. 2. Bring cash or a personal check because they don't accept credit cards.

This market was absolutely incredible. Located in the heart of downtown Puyallup, this massive…read moremarket has streets filled with amazing local vendors with items like produce, baked goods, plants, flowers, home decor, clothing, and more! There's also one street that specifically has food trucks on it and the options for hot, fresh, local eats are endless. Street parking is ample nearby, even on busy holiday weekends which is a plus. We cannot wait to come back next Saturday and pick up some more local goodies!

I've visited a few farmers' markets, but I had never been to one in Washington until I discovered…read morethe market in Puyallup this weekend. I loved how easy it was to find parking, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly--much nicer than what I usually experience in Seattle. As a vegetarian, I didn't try much of the food since I had other plans, but I did have some treats that completely blew me away. Let me clarify that there were vegetarian options available, but there weren't many main courses based on vegetarian dishes, so I didn't try any other vegetarian entrées. However, here are a few notable establishments and items that enhanced my experience at the market. The strawberry shortcake and pistachio pop cakes from OlyPopsByEJ were fantastic. I would rate the shortcake a solid 5 out of 5 and the pistachio a 5.1 out of 5. Additionally, the lavender lemonade from Thirst Killer's Lemonade was refreshing, not overly sweet, and reasonably priced; I would give it a 4 out of 5.8 out of 5. Tracy's Sweet & Savory Shortbread in Chai Latte flavor was so good that I unapologetically ate the whole pack on the way home; I would rate them a 5.2 out of 5. I also picked up some lavender soap, which smelled great. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend checking out this farmers' market. It's definitely a place I'd return to if I'm in the area!
