Worst customer service ever. Spent hours trying to do everything right on their website which is ridiculous. Finally got my order in and they then cancelled and rejected my word file setting out my name and address. Their rules are offensive to everyone and they make you jump through hoops to even send a contact email. I will not use them and I do not trust them. ZERO STARS FOR THIS PLACE! Zero communication, zero information, zero professionalism, zero product. I do not understand how an establishment like this can stay in business? This whole experience was a mistake. I understand in these trying times that producing product is taking longer and costing more, etc. We all are having a hard time getting materials and items that were once so easy to get. You wouldn't think ordering a couple boxes of blank envelopes would be this challenging. In June, my assistant placed an order with Penny Wise Printing. Yes, June! I personally followed up 4 days later because I couldn't find any info on the website about shipping my order and my assistant was unavailable. Nothing major, I just wanted to get my "ducks in a row". I received a rude email from Penny Wise Printing telling me that I should know how long shipping would be and that it had only been 4 days and that I checked a bunch of buttons acknowledging and confirming; to go on the website and look at the product page...blah, blah, blah. No, that is not true. Neither one of us acknowledged or confirmed it would take over 90 days to get our order and neither one of us can see into the future. Please show me where it states production and shipping would or could take months and months and months. I do not see that on the order confirmation, by acknowledgement, or the website. You get ZERO information from this website. Just blowing smoke. Let's just say I personally did place the order. Does it even matter? I am a customer. Just answer the customer's question respectively. This is ludicrous. My assistant told me we were supposed to have the product by July 27. I don't know how much more patient we can be? Well fast forward to today. It is now Sept. 8. Yep, Sept 8! I still do not have my envelopes. I go onto the website to see, by chance, if there is any information for my order and it NOW miraculously shows "ready to ship", but no date. So, I contacted Pennywise Printing via email (because you can't speak to a human) to get an ETA and I literally received this response "NO REPLY - Order # 29047 - DECLINED-VOIDED-REFUNDED" just as typed. WAIT! WHAT? They cancelled my order? After all of this time? Why? Because I inquired about the shipping after 2 1/2 months?! This is unreasonable. I don't even know what happened? How is this even legit? For blank envelopes? This is crazy! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS UNPROFESSIONAL MANUFACTURER. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...well you know how the saying goes. I have used these guys in the past since they are pretty cheap and usually ship in a timely manner. I had once in the past asked to cancel an order but was denied. I can understand that although it is not a great business practice. I placed an order with them 11 days prior(Ordered on 12/20, e-mailed on 12/31). Asking for a status was apparently enough to get my account de-activated and get myself lambasted. Here is my e-mail "Message: I have an order from 11 days ago that doesn't even show shipped. I really need these ASAP. Could you please get me a status. My order number is 25757". Here is the response I got back: "RE: Order 25757 11 days ago? That is false 11 business days is next Fri 1.8.21 Of course you must be counting the holidays and Saturday and Sunday Let's count this out for you! All orders start the following business day received. Our policy On Sunday Dec 20, 2020 - 8:06:07 AM see your online receipt Keep this in mind when counting All orders start the "following business day received". I placed an order with this company and cannot believe how bad they are. I placed an order online and called to see how long the proofs would take. This was a simple order, envelopes and letterhead. I spoke to John Booth, who is apparently the owner of the business. He told me the proofs would take a couple of days. A couple of days later I emailed and asked the status of the proofs and he replied with the following email: "Please consider every inquire equals delays - This is the begging of the 2nd day in process and you have now contacted us twice." As a small business owner, I couldn't believe this ridiculous email. I called John and asked him to explain the email and he said, "We'll just cancel your order," and hung up on me. Definitely not the way to do business. Fortunately, online printing is highly competitive and it only take 30 seconds on google to find someone else to do the job. I ordered some printed #10 envelopes (2,000) pieces. The order arrived in 1 week, no hiccups. These were self-sealing envelopes and they were 10x the quality of the custom printed self-seal envelopes I received from Office Depot, at half the price. Many reviews on Yelp indicate their order was cancelled. I want to point out that if you read the very specific instructions on the website about the requirements for each order - especially resolution and image requirements, your order will go through. If you need to be hand-held through your order, you should go with someone else. If you are tech savvy and know what you want, you should go with this company. read more

I have just received my envelopes from Pennywiseprinting.com. They are perfect. It took just a hair longer than I expected, but John said that he had to clean up my logo a bit to make it as clear as possible. Understandable and much appreciated. I was at first a bit skeptical due to all the negative feedbacks on several sites, but the envelopes came out great and the price was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to print your envelopes! read more

I have placed several orders with them before without any problems. They were quick and accurate. My information (address) that had been saved on their website and used every previous time was kicking my credit card back saying the address didn't match. I tried 7 times (no exaggeration) to process it and it would not go through. I called and left a message and my call was never returned. I got a hold of someone today and he even knew who I was. He asked if I had gotten their emails. I stated that the only ones I had gotten was the same one every time I tried to place an order saying my address didn't match, but nothing in response to the email sent to them. He could have cared less. He said that the address didn't match and that the address on my bank statement was wrong. I said I would just take my business elsewhere. His response was, "ok", click. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. It's ok to pay more for better service. As a business owner for 17 years, I refuse to deal with a company like this. I will go elsewhere for someone who knows what customer service means! read more

This company is something else. You order from them, after they receive your order you play hell trying to determine what is the status. No one answers the phone, only pre-recorded message. No customer friendly Customer Service. They tell you they shipped an order, NO tracking information, NO carrier, NOTHING! I will never ever place another order with this outfit. Placed an order. Got an order confirmation and then a couple of days later got an "in process" confirmation. No way to track your order. Told to wait 10 days. I wait almost three weeks and write in and then the send TWO emails immediately that says the order was cancelled because my address is a UPS Store (the legal address for the corporation as well, by the way, and public record). When I ask why there was no such notice instead of me waiting WEEKS to find this out, they just block my email address. These guys are total amateurs and don't deserve anyone's business. read more

Sure sorry to add my negative review. My first order went through fine: fast service, good quality, good price. There was a slight glitch on my reorder. I fixed that, but the order still did not go through due to their error. Finally, they said they didn't want my business. (They only use email, never a telephone.) This firm appears to have exactly the product that I wanted, deskbook checks for my trust account. I placed an order and received an order confirmation within an hour, but after another hour I received an e-mail that my order was canceled. My credit card company sent me an e-mail confirming the charges. I tried every which way to contact this company to clarify if the order was in fact canceled and if so why was it canceled and followed the procedure to contact them several times, but could not obtain any clarifications, just robo form replies that said order canceled with no particulars about why or whether or not they would refund my payment. I tried e-mail and telephone at the number provided. However it was impossible to get through to a person and all you received was a sales pitch. The price of the product was not as critical to me as knowing whether or not the order was going to actually be processed as I needed checks as I was running low. The lack of clarity in their response to my order by first confirming it, then apparently cancelling it and then refusing to clarify or give any reasons at all certainly is a discouraging development. They are the only ones I can find that have the exact product I want although Amazon and Deluxe are very close to what I want. If they get back to me within 48 hours I will be happy to place my order but if they don't then I will go elsewhere. I understand that they try to keep prices low, but when they give out an order confirmation and then cancel without reason, I believe that the customer is entitled to an explanation under any circumstances. read more

BE AWARE...this is a web only ordering site and there is no way to talk to a human being there. Their phone # routes you to various choices with recorded info, but again...no way to speak. One option does allow you to leave a message, but they will NOT call you back. The site has a contact us link where you can ask questions, but again...they auto-reply and do not answer your specific questions. I tried to order blank envelopes which the site showed as in stock and ready to ship. I received an order confirmation, but they never shipped them and I was unable to find out why. Lots of lost time and aggravation. I wonder if they are some type of scam site to get your credit card info for future abuse...so I will be carefully watching for that. read more

Would give less than 1 star if it were possible. HORRIBLE customer service. I received an order confirmation, then they cancelled my order without informing me and I did not receive the product I needed on time. When I emailed about the issue (you cannot actually talk to a person for help) they decided to completely delete my account with them even though I had purchased from them before. I will never use again and do not recommend. I found another company who was great to work with to provide me these products from now on. read more

DO NOT use this company! The first order was fine, but when a re-order form and check were submitted, they ignored it and printed the wrong checks. Instead of owning up to it, they deleted my account while I was communicating with them through their website (which is the ONLY way to communicate with them). Spend a couple of extra bucks and order with a reputable company. I am appalled that they deleted my account and appalled with their customer service. read more

John was the rudest person I have ever worked with, even for a brief time. I will never forget how rude he was to me on the phone and am glad I am not the only person who experienced how awful he is. I simply wanted a quote and he never replied after a few days and when I called to follow-up he blew up on me because I didn't provide all the information he needed for the quote (at the end of my e-mail I even said 'Let me know any other information you need to provide the quote').
