So far, so good. I just moved into the neighborhood and this is now my local discount grocer. I was a Lidl girl before, but I've only had to adjust a little to their assortment.
Something I love is that their bottle return machine takes both kinds of bottles: Mehrweg and Einweg. Another nice thing is that they renovated the store in the summer, so everything is bright and clean.
If I were to complain, it would be about:
* non-existent selection of dark chocolates I still have to run over to Lidl for dark chocolate bars.
* little if no selection of herbs I buy them from the little Turkish grocery next door.
But besides that, they've got a good and basic selection of fresh meats, dairy products and produce. They carry Coca Cola Zero in the 6-Liter Pack as well as in small cans. And for those days when you don't feel like cooking you can buy freshly-made, refrigerated pizzas and lasagnas.
Oh, plus, last week as part of their specials, they had real, American-style, moist brown sugar. read more
