They carry one of the best backpack purses, I love mine, and easy to buy at the airport.read more

So far, so good. I just moved into the neighborhood and this is now my local discount grocer. I was…read morea Lidl girl before, but I've only had to adjust a little to their assortment. Something I love is that their bottle return machine takes both kinds of bottles: Mehrweg and Einweg. Another nice thing is that they renovated the store in the summer, so everything is bright and clean. If I were to complain, it would be about: * non-existent selection of dark chocolates I still have to run over to Lidl for dark chocolate bars. * little if no selection of herbs I buy them from the little Turkish grocery next door. But besides that, they've got a good and basic selection of fresh meats, dairy products and produce. They carry Coca Cola Zero in the 6-Liter Pack as well as in small cans. And for those days when you don't feel like cooking you can buy freshly-made, refrigerated pizzas and lasagnas. Oh, plus, last week as part of their specials, they had real, American-style, moist brown sugar.

The first place I go to for luggage in Hamburg. Nice selection of stuff.read more

Edit #2:…read more Okay, totally changing my review. The shopkeepers here are among the friendliest I've encountered in Hamburg, totally helpful, really nice and friendly. I was impressed when one of the employees basically ransacked the back room to find shoes my size and brought in another employee with a ladder. This is, of course, something you'd want to expect - but the willingness to help from the folks here and the welcoming smile is something which not many shops in Hamburg provide. Edit: Bumping up a star here after finding out that: 1) They carry Cheap Monday brand jeans as an alternative to overpriced Lee. 2) Their own-label shoe range is quite good with great quality for the price (which certainly cannot be said about retailers such as H&M). I picked up a gorgeous pair of well constructed patent-pleather loafers for 42eu. Great value! -- Original Review -- I don't understand this shop, nor those who shop here. Racks full of clothing and accessories better suited for second hand, prices which are disproportionately high and likely artificially inflated. Reminds me of Old Navy in the 90s, but for upper middle-class hipsters who would only wear any of this stuff out of irony before retiring it to, well, an actual second-hand shop. Only bit of joy here is the "Urban Renewal" section, which features new clothing from second hand materials in decent prices. I got a pair of leather gloves for 20eu which was probably someone's jacket.
