We had a really nice stay. Our room was very spacious, surprisingly so, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the towels big and thick. The water pressure in the bathroom is outstanding. Antonio, at the front desk, was welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner in the on-site restaurant, Panorama, which has received many awards over the years, and the food, wine, and service did not disappoint. The prices are steep, but as guests in the hotel we were given a 25% off card for one-time use. Take note that there is no hotel parking, but there is a pay public lot right next to hotel. There is no breakfast per se, but there is fresh coffee and delicious muffins set out each morning. We would definitely stay here again.

An old hotel with a lot of charm in a great location. Our room was very spacious and being a top floor corner room, had views of the river and Penn's Landing, but was dominated by the major highway. The room was way nicer than we were expecting though. The bed was comfy, shower and bathroom were nice and the room even had a fireplace with a gas insert. Being July, we didn't really use it but the ambiance was nice. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The only thing I really didn't like here was the parking situation. There's a private lot run by a third party next to the hotel and it's expensive and they randomly move your car around the lot as they feel the need. Otherwise, you're right next to Penn's Landing and all the waterfront attractions, as well as a short walk to much of the old town historical locations and attractions we were here to visit. There are many great restaurants and bars all around here too. At no time, day or night did we feel unsafe walking around this neighborhood. One note of caution though for handicapped customers, this hotel is far from being ADA compliant with narrow corridors, doors, and random steps in the halls. I'm not even sure you can access the lobby without steps.

This location is amazing! Within walking distance of so many attractions, stores, restaurants, the river and the subway. Our room was clean and we loved being able to open the doors on our balcony. The bed and pillows were some of the best we've had at a hotel in a long time. We never heard another guest while we were there and enjoyed the muffins and coffee available in the lobby each more. Highly recommend!

Charming hotel in Old City. I enjoyed my time there. Room 500 was spacious with a wonderful river view. Wonderful hotel staff. Great coffee and breakfast. I'll be back .

I only stayed here for one night, but I'd come back in a heartbeat! This little boutique hotel located on Front Street in Old City has all of the charm and history you could want. I thought the front desk staff and management were fantastic, the room was cozy, the old wood flooring throughout the rooms was well maintained and homey. The shower temperature and pressure were perfect. We didn't have the opportunity to check out happy hour at the wine bar, but it looked like a fantastic deal. The decor throughout the hotel was elegant and welcoming. We didn't bring a car, but I know they offer valet to a lot right beside the building. I can't wait to return.

Pleasant Hotel in a great location. Room was a bit small but other than that it was a good place. Close to restaurants and near parking lots. I would definitely recommend it to anyone:)

I enjoyed my stay at Penn's hotel. Ayana went that extra step to get what I requested when I made the reservations on the phone, thank you plus she's sweet, polite and friendly, in fact all the stuff were friendly nice. The hotel is in a nice location, it's clean, bright, with some nice furniture. I had a nice queen size room, with a sweet sort of balcony, that was partly over looking the waterfront and part of the city. I know they have larger rooms and with fireplaces also here. Definitely try their upscale, delicious restaurant next door, with a great selections of wines. Otherwise you can walk to the many local ones. Plus if you like to walk, like I do, walk up Market Street from the hotel, just 30 minutes or so, for all historical landmarks, museums and much more. Next time I visit Philly, I'll be definitely staying here again but in one of your king-size rooms with a fireplace

Stayed here for a quick visit to Philadelphia and it was close to a friends place. Pro: Good prices. Decent sized bar. Parking is located right next to hotel, in a separate lot. (paid lot) Room was average. Walking distance to Penn's Landing Not so Pro: Lobby area is small, one attendant. Elevator is small and slow. Staff uses it also, tight when you have to share with a cart. Bartender is slow and not prepared. Bathroom in room was small. All about the location.

Ripped sheeted

Disgusting rooms + noisy highway + horrible service Had to checkout early. If you are traveling on business for a large convention conference, be careful as the hotels will all book up closer to the date and you will be stuck with a room at Penn's View Hotel should you need to cancel your reservation after checking if the rooms are clean in person. Not a fun night. Management offered me 4 different rooms which all had hair and/or red stains on the sheets (not sure what the red was...) and or pillows. I finally asked for some clean sheets, and they gave me sheets with dark stains on the pillow case and hair in the sheets... things took a turn for the worst when I tried pulling out towels to lay over the bed only to find a rotten smelling towel with stains on it.... Throughout the night, it was so incredibly loud from the traffic outside I had to stuff my ears with earplugs. then in the second night they claimed they "deep cleaned" my room and I came back to more hair on my bed and small stains on the towels... slightly cleaner towels than from the first night... To top it all off, I read reviews on here from 10 years ago that said the breakfast was good... nowadays the breakfast is only muffins and coffee. It's a shame

The room is spacious enough for two people and has a modern decor. The decor throughout the hotel, however, is like an ode to hip hop culture. If you know me, I love sneakers, hip hop and everything that is the culture! The decor speaks specifically to Philly icons -- Will Smith, Meek Mill, The Roots, Jilly from Philly (Jill Scott), etc. Whoever was the interior decorator did a great job with honoring those icons and the hip hop scene. The restaurant inside the hotel was great too. I don't have any complaints besides the steep valet prices. I will visit again.

It also had no carpet, which was a plus. If you're planning to go to any stadiums, this hotel is a great pick! It's about a 30 second walk to the train, which takes you directly to the stadiums in about 10 minutes. No need for a rental car everything else such as food, dessert, coffee, and shopping was all within walking distance. The biggest downside was the elevator situation. Only one elevator was working, so getting between floors took forever. During our stay, the elevator also completely broke while we were on the 10th floor. While it does have valet service, the crack woman loitering outside the door negates that upscale feeling from the start. Check in is located on the 2nd floor but 2 of the 3 elevators are broken leading to a line of people waiting several minutes to reveal an already full elevator. So I took the stairs. Before I got to my room there was an overfilled waste bin propping open the hallway door. The room had a unique layout and seemed more "techie" than upscale at first. The room was cool - literally - I could not turn off the fan. Options were auto, low and high- no off. There was a little cell phone shelf for charging and a bluetooth mirror. I don't think I've ever seen a bluetooth mirror in an hotel before. The little cell phone shelf is cool but also feels a little redundant in a hotel room when you have better-located charging options by the bed and desk. The "techie" feel fell flat though when turning on the TV. There's no bluetooth to stream content and there isn't even one of those in room hotel internal channels. You turn the TV on and immediately get blasted by old school black and white static from cosmic radiation. The room looked clean and did have plenty of towels. More than I've ever seen in a hotel room before. There is a little shop with self checkout but the self checkout is right up there next to the check in, so I didn't buy anything because its a little embarrassing to be doing work to self check out right less than 1 foot away from the person checking you in. The restaurant seemed mid with much better options within a 5-minute walk outside - and you have to walk fast though to avoid getting accosted.

We attended a wedding of a family member here and when I say everything was almost as if it were out of a film or a storybook, I wouldn't be far-off. The room where the ceremony was held was decorated beautifully in a crème colored white with these huge pearls hanging from the ceiling. The drinks were unbelievable and the highlight for me were free flowing French 75's. Made expertly with premium gin, in my case I asked for Sipsmith VJOP which I was blown away by them actually having. But above all what was incredibly impressive was the cocktail and hors de oeuvres hour, which was more like three hours was out-of-control good. With shellfish galore, meats and cheeses, a noodle station, a hand roll sushi station, and people walking around with small bites to try, I had never, at all the many events I have attended over the years, experienced anything quite like it. When dinner arrived, I actually couldn't believe there was still a formal dinner after everything we had already been privy to. Dinner was served extremely late, but I believe that was the choice of the couple and not the venue, and that food was just as outstanding as everything else we tried while there. If you have the opportunity to attend a private event here or experience a premium meal or cocktail hour, DO NOT TURN IT DOWN!

Check-in was meh, the person at the front desk basically just handed me a key, a piece of paper, and told me to use the two elevators to the right. Cool, no other information, and considering there is an AMAZING fitness center you can access as a guest, maybe share that information. Inside the hotel keycard holder was also a free drink up in Pergola (19th floor?) which Pergola is not good at all, you can read that review separately. The room I was in was actually quite nice, it was clean, spacious, the a/c was weird and kept going on and off but the room was kept cool. No real complaints about the room. Parking is insanely expensive, you can go literally 2 blocks away in any direction and find parking for less money, AND if you have a large SUV or truck, it wont fit in their garage anyway. Price point to value seems off for this place. Also, one of the elevators went out in the main lobby for the higher floors, and it was excruciatingly slow to get up and down. What's amusing is my friend stayed two weeks earlier and the SAME elevator went out of service. So clearly this is a problem that needs fixing. There aer other elevator banks, but good luck finding them pending where your room is, and the front desk wont tell you. I hate to admit i'd stay here again, only because of a hotel credit I get with a credit card, that fitness center makes it worthwhile. If access to the fitness center goes away as a guest, I would stay elsewhere.
