I called Preferred Arbor immediately to get the tree scheduled and was given a complete bullshit story that he lost his certification to come within 10 feet with his bucket..what??? Your a tree company, seriously??? He lied to us about Potomac Edison and lied again about his certification..said he'd do it in January...no I called Luis at LC Tree service..he came within an hour for an estimate and could take the tree down that week. His price including the stump removal was amazing..they worked thru the 90+ weather, cleaned up as they went..did I mention this was close to a 100 foot pine tree?? They worked endlessly to get it done and then came back the third day to put the fence back up. I can't thank him and his guys enough for doing a fantastic job..we are going to have a new fence put up and he will be the person we go to..so many neighbors watched as the tree came down and all want the name of "our tree guy" Thank you again Luis!! Had them do the work in the dead of winter hoping the cold weather might take some sort of a toll on the beetles that would be looking for a new home. Although a bit delayed, they completed the work efficiently despite having their primary truck in the shop. They were careful to make sure none of the big branches and trunk segments fell in the wrong direction. That was a good thing because the biggest tree's trunk turned out to be rotten half way up. They cleaned up before they left so that I only ended up with some bits and shards in the tall grass and bushes. The price was reasonable. Of course their truck left some tracks in the yard, where they used it to pull some big branches down, but the grass grew back quickly in the spring. The place where they disposed of the logs had raised its price, but they didn't raise mine. This company is straightforward and honest.
