We ate brunch here today, and everything was fantastic. Biscuit and gravy was phenomenal and tenders and waffles were also top notch. They are also family owned and local. A return to try more of their food is in the future.

We love noodles. Penne for Your Thoughts has all kinds of yummy baked pasta. They have different combinations and our whole family loves all the flavors. The service was good. We got our food ordered quickly at the front and got our food from the window toward the back. The ambiance was good and we like the Knoxville Sunsphere painting with all kinds of pasta throughout.

One of my favorite things about food trucks is how they go over-the-top with their flavors. Penne For Your Thoughts has definitely translated that to their restaurant!! So good! Everybody is so sweet here! And I love the Waffle Sunsphere!

Vegetarian Pasta

Great little lunch spot right on Northshore! We had been meaning to try it for quite some time and I am so happy we finally got here. In my son's words, they had the 'best waffle fries he ever had'! We had the vegetarian pasta, cheesy bread, waffle fries and crispy brussels...all were delicious!

S'mores bowl

I had heard great things about the food and finally decided to try. I was torn between the macaroni and cheese and the penne. I went with Stranger than fiction and an unsweetened basil iced tea with the s'mores bowl for dessert. It was amazing and I had leftovers of both, which was so much better the next day!

Their take on a burger; try it! Chopped Dead Gorgeous

I found them on Instagram and signed up for a coupon sloffer. Great decision on my part. The service is very good. Miss Jade helped me redeem the electronic savings, and I ate half my CHOPPED DEAD GORGEOUS sandwich there (the portions are huge). When I brought my daughter's order of NAAN OF YOUR BUSINESS home, she fell in love too. Because I opted for the brussels sprouts as a side dish, we were able to share it. While waiting for my food to be prepared, I talked with other patrons who have nothing but good things to say about this place. It's a very neat and clean establishment with a modern eatery vibe. I will definitely be back!

This place highly exceeded our expectations. Not just because it happened to be in the middle of Dollywood so they highly exceeded our culinary expectations! Everything was DELICIOUS!!!! The service was absolutely amazing. We asked for plain noodles for our picky kiddos and he was able to deliver. Wow wow wow!!! We will be back every time.

Grinder with waffle fries (Penne for your thoughts) NOTE: drink straws are made from dried pasta

Enjoyed lunch twice at their establishment on Northshore Drive. My favorite is the grinder sandwich served on a fresh baguette. The bread is so moist It taste like its prepared with Love. WARNING: The waffle fries are addicting! Both are phenomenal. Fun fact: you can choose a long piece of pasta to use as a drinking straw.

Pastative thinking

Thoroughly enjoyed my carb heavy meal from penne for your thoughts. Their food was just as delightful as the names they choose to use for their dishes. I tried the pastative thinking which was penne with Alfredo, pepper, mozzarella and it was overall pretty good! The portion was good, was very full from just that alone.

The Meat Grinder (Italian sub) with Parmesan waffle fries and Basil-infused tea.

Third time here, and I'm returning in the future! This place is absolutely spotlessly clean (including the restrooms) and well organized. It's also small, but I've never seen it crowded. The cashiers are always friendly, patient and helpful, as was todays experience. My wife and I split the Meat Grinder (Italian sub) with the Parmesan waffle fries. It is one awesome tasty and overstuffed sandwich, and those fries are uniquely wonderful too. We find splitting it is (along with the fries) is plenty for lunch. Everything is made fresh to order. I loved their basil-infused tea as well. I mix the sweet and unsweet (I hope that's okay) and get the perfect flavor...for me. It's a great place to eat in the area that offers something different than others. Another nice side note, is their extensive use of recyclable dishware. We look forward to returning to try other menu items.

Absolutely AMAZING!! I've been meaning to try this place for awhile now, and I'm so glad I finally stopped in! Super kind and helpful staff, and the food was some of the best I've had in Knoxville, and I've lived here my entire life! Highly recommend.

First off I love the marble city market! It has so many wonderful restaurants, one being Penne! I order the "Oh how time fries" and they were magical. Soft and crispy all at the same time with the perfect amount of fresh parmesan on top. And you can't forget the side of ranch. It truly was the perfect combo and great little snack.

It's the perfect place to relax, enjoy a great meal, and take in the scenery. Keep in mind, they do not take reservations, so come early! If there's a wait, no worries, they'll put your name down, and you can grab a few great drinks while you wait. You can even take your drinks outside, sit back, and enjoy that beautiful view. Once we were seated, we started with the Southwest Egg Rolls, packed with flavor and definitely worth ordering. The Spinach Dip with chips was another crowd favorite. Then came the Colossal Onion Rings... WOW! They were sooo good! And then, my least favorite... Brussels sprouts! If you know me, you know I'm not a fan. But if you like them, get them! Everyone else at the table loved them, so maybe I'm just missing something! They also bring out a basket of warm bread and butter, which was very good and didn't last long at our table. For my entrée, I went with the Barbecue Ribs, and they were fantastic, fall-off-the-bone tender, cooked to perfection, and full of great flavor. Others in our group had the Chicken Parmesan, which was also very good. I'll definitely be trying that one next time! The Ahi Tuna Salad was another winner. And the service? Amazing! Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. If you haven't tried this place yet, what are you waiting for? We grabbed seats at the bar, ordered a couple of drinks, and watched the FIFA World Cup while we waited. I started with the Lavender French 75, and it ended up being my favorite drink of the night. It was light, crisp, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. Once we were seated, we got a table outside overlooking the lake, and the view alone made the wait worth it. We ordered the fried calamari to share, which was tasty, and for my entrée I went with the ribeye cooked medium rare with mashed potatoes. The steak was flavorful, tender, and had just the right amount of marbling. I tried a couple more cocktails throughout dinner, but I kept thinking about that Lavender French 75--it was easily the standout. A big thank you to our server, Nicole! She was friendly, attentive, and even played along with our jokes, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Between the beautiful lakeside view, great cocktails, delicious food, and wonderful service, I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in Tennessee again.

We did not have any drinks but the offerings cover the local, standard and top shelf tastes. The staff is even invited to events to learn about food and drink parings. Lunch was grab and eat. It was very quiet becasue we were well past the lunch rush and before the early dinners. I needed something more than a salad or bowl even though several were tempting. Not always a burger guy, but a bison burger will draw my attention. You don't see bison much in TN. Delicious. Juicy enough I needed an extra napkin. The second reason I chose the burger was for the carrot fries. I don't ever remember having them before or even seeing them. Their good, no reason they can't be a replacemnt to traditional fries and they don't "sag" as much as sweet potato fries. In my case, the kitchen put potato fries on the plate rather than carrot fries. Our server, Daniel noticed it and brought out a separate plate with proper side. Great service there. Another upgrade is that seasoning on the fries. There are several different ones and they differ byt the dish and fry. It was fun to compare the difference on the plate. So, cazzy's is not at diner but a fine gastropub.

Not to leave out the rest of the staff - the manager and everyone else we were in contact with were exceedingly warm and welcoming. And the food! Wow! Everything we ordered (soups, lobster, steaks, and desserts) was perfectly prepared and also among the best meals any of us have ever had. My wife and I have spent a lot of time in Southern Carolina and have become huge fans of She Crab soup and we didn't think we would ever have soup as good as we get there, but we were wrong. The She Crab soup at Foothills Milling Company was better than any we've ever had, anywhere. The steaks were cooked to the perfect temperature and were seasoned just right, and the lobster was amazing. We took a table in the bar area where one side is booth seating and the other a standard chair. The smaller tables could make it challenging for the different boards they serve but we managed just fine. We split the uncle Koli's happy hour portion of nachos and they were exemplary - layers of cheese and meat and fresh avocado drizzled with a unique barbecue sauce and sour cream were absolutely delicious. For mains we split a taco board and wedge salad. The portions are generous and our taco board had some really tasty steak that was well seasoned and cooked to order. They nailed the perfect medium rare and all the accoutrements were very fresh and rounded out the board nicely. 10/10 presentation. The wedge salad was a unique twist in using romaine lettuce instead of typical iceberg and again it was all very fresh and quite delicious. We finished our meal with a shared bourbon banana pudding and the only criticism was they favored presentation over palate in having the Nilla wafers floating on top so they were very crunchy rather than submerged in the amazing mix of pudding and whipped cream. I can't fault them though, look at the pictures attached - beautiful plating all the way around. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the star of our visit - Allie was our server in the bar evening and she managed to keep our drinks filled, answered questions and did everything with a remarkable attitude and friendly disposition. The guacamole was good, but the chips could've used some salt. Entree wise the shrimp and grits was great, but it was the smallest amount of grits I've ever gotten in a dish. The shrimps were cooked perfectly though. In general the entrees looked smaller than other restaurants but felt it was the perfect size to not be overly full. We ordered all three desserts and they were all yummy in their own way. I love banana pudding, this one had a kick of bourbon. The panna cotta wasn't too heavy on the coconut flavor and was creamy. The beignets were warm and so good as well! If I were in the area I would definitely be back for brunch!

We started with the Chicken Pizza Florentine appetizer and WOW. Such a unique dish and easily something I'd order as my main meal next time. Apparently it's been on the menu forever, and after trying it I completely understand why. For dinner, I ordered one of the specials: buttery noodles with grilled shrimp and a 3oz blue cheese steak. Unbelievable. The portion was actually perfect, though I added the creamed spinach just in case and it was delicious too. My husband got the clam chowder plus several sides that aren't even listed on the menu. One of the best parts about Chop House is all the side options. He chose onion rings, snow peas, and a loaded baked potato. The onion rings were already great, but then the manager came out with a fresh batch because they felt the first ones "weren't up to their standards." That level of customer service really stood out. Also worth mentioning: the kids menu is HUGE with tons of choices, which made things so easy for our family. The evening started with a small issue that was handled perfectly well: I ordered a glass of sparkling wine, and our server came back to let me know they were out. She offered me a taste of another option, I liked it, and happily ordered that instead. No problem at all. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. We ordered the arancili appp, which took a very long time to arrive. There were three pieces for the three of us, which was fine, but they were dry and just not particularly good. For dinner, my daughter and I shared the tenderloin and my husband ordered the burger. Our entrées arrived approximately an hour and a half after we ordered them. The tenderloin was cold. The asparagus was cold. The potatoes were cold. My husband's burger itself was actually good, but his fries were also cold. We had also ordered a side of truffle fries, which didn't arrive until roughly 20 minutes after the rest of our meal. Ironically, the flavor of the truffle fries was excellent--but again, they seemed like they had been sitting for far too long. That was the frustrating part of the entire experience: there were clearly some good flavors coming out of the kitchen, but the timing and execution were so poor that we couldn't enjoy them. I honestly couldn't tell whether the problem was the kitchen, staffing, service timing, or communication between the kitchen and dining room. The entire meal took about two hours, despite being a very straightforward dinner for three people. There was also a strange issue with the atmosphere. We were seated along the windows, and once the sun went down, our section became incredibly dark. There appeared to be lighting in the center of the dining room, but virtually none over the tables around the perimeter. We were essentially eating in the dark by the end of dinner. I actually felt bad for our server because it seemed like some of these issues were outside of her control, which made deciding on a gratuity uncomfortable. She was pleasant, but something operationally was clearly not working. For a restaurant at this price point, the experience simply wasn't acceptable. We spent nearly $200 for three people and waited close to two hours for food that was largely served cold. The most disappointing thing is that I think there may be genuinely good food here. Some of the flavors showed real promise. But an expensive restaurant has to be able to get the food from the kitchen to the table hot and in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not return.

These were served with sea salt crackers and pickled vegetables. It was all tasty and the smoke salmon had so much flavor. I had delicious thick cut pork chop topped with peach and jalapeno jam. It was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy and the topping added a fantastic spicy tang. The sides were charred baby carrots, green beans, a spoonbread with red-eye gravy and red pepper emulsion. My wife had a filet with bearnaise sauce and Yukon potatoes with cauliflower, sweet peppers, mushrooms and braised onions. It was cooked exactly as ordered with such a great taste and so tender.
