My experience as a tenant at Spaces Bakery Square was defined by a pattern of service failures and…read morecritical misinformation that other professionals, especially those in clinical practice, should be aware of before signing a lease. I moved into an office with damaged walls that were not up to a basic professional standard. I was first promised by the sales rep before my move-in that they would be repaired. When they weren't, the City Manager promised they would be fixed within a month. Despite assurances from management, the repairs were never made. The sole reason I had to terminate my lease was because I was consistently misled about the policy regarding my dog, which functions as a therapy dog in my psychotherapy practice. This was integral to my work. - The misinformation began with the sales rep, who told me in writing the decision was up to the building's landlord, not Spaces. - After I followed his guidance, the previous City Manager then gave me a firm, direct assurance that bringing the dog would be fine, an assurance he also acknowledged in writing. Relying on these explicit confirmations from management forced me to terminate my lease when the rule was later enforced by a different employee, disrupting my practice. When I professionally disputed the $381.19 "Office Restoration Fee"--pointing out the irony that the office was never actually "restored" to a professional standard for me--I was told my case was being escalated for a "high-level review." After weeks of delays, Spaces charged my card for the full disputed amount while the issue was still supposedly under review. This wasn't a simple misunderstanding; it was a series of operational failures that cost me significant time and money. Be aware and document everything.

Add me to the persons who have a complaint about Spaces. This is a company that seems to WANT to…read morerip you off! First off, I think that the persons who actually work in the Bakery Square location are fine. All are helpful, professional, and courteous and Jaymie (sp? sorry) stands out as having a high level of professionalism. Also, the offices are situated in a very convenient location and have elements of pleasantness. However: - -The auto-renewal trickery is insidious and is a borderline predatory business practice. It is hidden deeply within the contract and while they claim they send advance notice about needing to cancel three months in advance, I can't find any emails about it. If you don't cancel your autorenewal more than THREE MONTHS in advance of expiration you will be locked in for another YEAR!!!! It doesn't even go to month to month! -The Spaces app for resolving issues/having inquiries addressed is atrocious. Most questions are not answered and you are given the runaround. -It is nearly impossible to speak with a human about an issue that isn't an immediate physical site issue. Instead you must try (almost never to the customer's satisfaction) to resolve it through the aforementioned app. -Though the space is sunny and airy, I have seen mice on the floor a few times. -WiFi has been unreliable at times, especially on Fridays. For those who depend on WiFi, this alone should be a huge red flag.
