Wow! This spot sure has changed through the years. Promenade on the Peninsula has now been renamed…read moreto Promenade PV. It's still an open air shopping center but they're putting a big emphasis on community gathering. They do a lot of events like a Spring Carnival and Egg Hunt. They also upgraded the ice rink under the LA Kings brand. There's also lots of new restaurants. I found a new favorite via Pho Red Bo and I spotted a yummy dessert spot via Fika Fika Creamery. Though lots of change, it was nice to see Regal Promenade still here. This movie theatre was my go- to movie theatre a few years back and I have found memories of this spacious (not crowded) theatre. Overall, I was happy to visit the new Promenade PV. It's nice to see this outdoor area gaining more popularity and it's so refreshing to see the new restaurants and events they have here.

It's main feature is an ice skating rink, named the LA Kings Ice PV, used for as a community rink for skating and hockey. It has free parking via a large parking garage attached. It is no longer a shopping center (a lot of empty storefronts), but more a community space for Palos Verdes, with a large number of restaurants, a bunch of sporting and gaming facilities, and medical businesses, including a large UCLA health clinic. We came a week before Thanksgiving, and a beautiful Christmas tree was up, providing some good picture opportunities.

I'd like to consider ourselves as mall connoisseurs- we are always at Santa Anita Mall, South Coast Plaza and Brea Mall. We rarely visit Del Amo and I'm pleasantly surprised by how clean and the touch light walls are working. The rugs don't seem super grimey either. I particularly enjoy the layout that the play area is enclosed. The mall seems very safe with multiple security mall cops on moving scooters surveillance-ing around at all times. The nicer part of the mall with new shops like Chagee and Uniqlo is bright and open. Aritzia is opening soon too and Somi Somi is here for a sweet treat after playing

Some of my favorite stores - Adidas, Alo, Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Barnes & Nobles, Coach, Dick's Sporting Goods, Free People, Hollister, Kate Spade, Lids, Lululemon, Nike, Nordstrom, & Vuori. The mall has a plethora of other stores. Lots of food options to include but not an inclusive list - BJs, Dave & Busters (food & games), Din Tai Fung, Frida, Lucille's, Luna Grill, North Italia, Outback Steakhouse, P.F Chang's, Shake Shack, & Sweet Green. Food options to meet everyone budget. Pros 1. Abundance of stores and food options. 2. Well-maintained grounds. 3. Plenty of seating throughout the mall. Cons 1. Parking is insane. Talk about frustration. Especially during the weekends and holidays. You will roll around for quite some time to secure parking. Just have a lot of patience. Things to note: The mall spans a few blocks, with different stores like Dick's Sporting Goods and Barnes & Nobles being outside the main mall in stand alone locations. AMC on the premises - back side of mall. Use the AMC website for times of operation. Overall, Del Amo Fashion Center is a great option shop, dine, or have an outing at.

[Review #817] 2024-016…read more Opened in the 1960s, Rolling Hills Plaza is an eclectic outdoor shopping center with restaurants & shops, anchored by AMC Theatres & 24-Hour Fitness. I first visited this plaza to watch movies with friends in the late 1990s. And on some nights with new movie openings, the lines were so long they wrapped around the building. Yikes! There's been a lot of turnover the last couple of decades that I can't remember some of the earlier tenants. A fav Japanese restaurant with a large diverse dessert menu had closed, replaced by Hakata Yamaya (renamed as Yamaya). Most recently, SHIOK! Asian Street Food (family fav for delish sandwiches & boba drinks) was closed due to downturn from the COVID-19 pandemic, replaced with Hanky's Hot Chicken, followed by Tap Society Brews & Bites (its sister Caps & Corks is still open) all within 4 years. Not sure why this particular spot always had high turnover. Bed Bath & Beyond is another former resident that I often shopped at for home goods, especially when I first moved to the South Bay. Although I no longer visit this AMC as much, I still shop & dine fairly regularly at the plaza: Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Nijiya Market, Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea, Mendocino Farms, Lunasia Dim Sum House, Stonefire Grill, Nice China Cafe, Pinwheel Cafe Bakery, Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee, California Pizza Kitchen, Veggie Grill, Iccho Restaurant, Kabab Curry of India, Fanoos Grill. I'm sure there are others that I missed (supposedly there's 80+ eateries & retail tenants). While parking is plentiful, vacancies are challenging during lunch & dinner rushes, & weekends. Rolling Hills Plaza is one of the larger outdoor spaces for one-stop dining, shopping, & entertainment for the whole family... workout, grab a coffee, shop, dine, & watch a movie in one go.

But it has been awhile prior to our first restaurant run. Truly a great beachside destination. Plenty of eateries (and many of them dog friendly!) and shops for everyone's budget. The beach is literally a block or two away and parking isn't horrendously expensive unlike some other beaches or shorelines. (A buck and a half per hour is a steal!) It's a pretty chill and kickback area. Some grub spots have live bands/music you can vibe to. But the best part of the village is definitely walking by the shores! The views. Of the water alongside the mountains are breathtaking. I imagine the best time to come through is during the spring and summer. We have yet to experience the area during the fall and winter seasons. The value was impressive because there were many affordable treats and unique items that did not feel overpriced. The selection was wide enough to keep teenagers entertained whether they wanted snacks, clothes, handmade items, or just a fun place to walk. I have only been there once before writing this review but it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places I have visited. I highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a chance to feel independent, creative, and connected to a lively community.

They closed a corner lot and you can tell the church spend a lot of time and effort to set it up. It was a very powerful worship. Loved it!
