When we dropped our dog off, the girl at the front desk, Danielle, was both kind and gentle.

The place is well maintained and all the animals play & roam around freely! Her facility is so different than all the boarders I visited- the animals had their own beds with blankets. It was warm & clean with playgrounds. Not crowded! My Lulu actually got so much exercise playing & socializing with other dogs. And it was all inclusive! I definitely recommend Mel & Rosedale Resort! She's extremely organized & communicates with her clients! Thank you!

Mel offered to take him in no questions asked, and make sure he didn't get into (too much) trouble. The resort itself is great, so much room to run around and rest (but mostly run around). Mel put as much love and care into creating the resort that she does into taking care of her pups! She kept in touch with us regularly, sharing pictures, and giving updates. We could tell he was having such a great time! Rates are also super reasonable for the VIP service our pup gets, with a discount for longer stays. We live in Kirkland and while it was a trek down to Rosedale, it was so worth it for our lil dude to have the time of his life! (and he slept for a full week after we picked him up lol) Thanks so much to Mel and team for the paw-some time ar camp!

I knew I would need at least one night that I would need care for my two small dogs when I was…read moretraveling to the Bremerton area. My dogs are usually with me all the time and I am very hesitant to leave them anywhere without giving two hours worth of instructions. Yes, I'm THAT kind of pet parent. Anyways, I stopped by to check out Linn's place before I took my dogs there and it seemed like a great place and all the dogs seemed happy to be there. She showed me around all the areas that the dogs would be in and I liked that it was very much a home environment, instead of doggie daycares that seem very sterile and not like home. It really is like a little dog adventure land that they can explore the many yards and decks and different areas. After the first night I left my dogs there, I ended up staying longer than expected and having my dogs stay there on five different occasions, one that lasted 4 nights. Each time I felt more and more comfortable and really left my dogs knowing they were in good hands and when I dropped them off and picked them up they were happy -- not scared, anxious or hesitant at all. This is something, especially for my newest dog we rescued from an abusive home just four months ago and he is very timid around most people and new environments. There are also cameras you can check on your pets on, although I never downloaded the app or website. That's how comfortable I was, I didn't feel I needed to check on them. Although I appreciated the picture and video updates that Linn sent me! The price is quite reasonable, but don't forget to leave a little extra if you really appreciate the care your pets have gotten, because she works really hard for the little she charges. Especially with my dogs, I know they're a handful! She is also willing to work with you on pickup and drop-off times and she ensures you are the only person dropping off so it is easy for all involved. The extra gates also give peace of mind your dogs won't escape on accident or if they're looking for an adventure, as mine oftentimes do. Linn really has thought of everything here, and my dogs enjoy staying overnight and playing with all of the other dogs who come here. I just wish I could find a place like this in California, but I'll be back next time I'm in town and know that I can leave my dogs safely while I'm away.

We love this place and our dogs enjoy this place also. Linn, the owner, is a very caring person…read morewho loves all animals. Look at her Facebook, it's all about animals. Linn owns two places side by side. The dogs have a dog run in the center of the house. They can spend all day running back and forth between the houses. This is a very secure area. Your dog(s) spend the night uncaged in the house. They find their own spot to rest. Linn is alway there looking after the pets. Her prices are very reasonable compared to other places. I was very impressed on my first visit. Everything is so clean and well maintained. If you don't believe me, call her up and set up an appointment to visit her place. She has the credentials to back her experience. She is a member of: PSI Certified Professional Pet Sitter and a Member of the National Association of Pet Sitters. She is certified in Animal First Aid & CPR. She is also Bonded & Insuried. When you go to other places, ask about their credentials and experience, they can't compare to the "Personal & Pet Concierce". No, I don't get free boarding for my comments! Dave, Lynn, and my dogs (Quincie and Charlie).

A few suggestions when pet-sitting for a first-time client:…read more 1. Text the client or send the client pics of their pets when you first go over to their house to take care of them. It shouldn't be on the client to check in with you on Day 3 to know if you're taking care of their pets. Crickets do not reassure someone on vacation who's never used your service before. 2. If you are going over to their house every day to feed/water the pets and clean the litterbox, ensure that the number of bags in the trash match the number of days you were supposedly visiting. We're paying for each visit. If there is half the number of expected bags in the trash it does not give us much confidence that you were there every day--or at least doing what was expected of you every day. 3. If you are getting low on any supplies or food left by the client, text/call the client to inform them and offer to pick up more--and feel free to add a surcharge for the inconvenience. We did not need to return home late to find no dry food in the house and wonder if the pets were fed at all that day. 4. Invoice the client within 2-3 days after the job is done--don't wait almost two weeks for the client to ask for their invoice (we also asked for our key back because the first time will be the last time we use this service). You're getting paid for this service, right? Be organized and attentive. If it's not already obvious, we will be looking for another pet sitter in the future.

She asked all the right questions and came prepared for our first meeting. Her hands were full with our 2 dogs and 2 cats but she was very well equipped to handle the craziness of the 9 days we were gone. Her rates are reasonable and she's very flexible. I'd use her services again in a heartbeat!
