Went for a day trip during our vacation and had an absolute blast! All the staff were super sweet/welcoming and the facilities were well maintained. Few tips: - Rent a robe, it's so much easier than a towel IMO - Grab lunch at their spa restaurant, the food is DELICIOUS. I had the fish and it was cooked perfectly and was one of my favorite meals in Australia. - Go on a weekday so there's less folks around! We got to stay at the hilltop pool on our own for quite a while cause no one else came up! - Take mosquito repellent cause I got a few bites while I was there but honestly other than the mosquitos, everything was perfect. read more

On Wednesday 14th February 2024 somebody used my card fraudulently to purchased a $100 Gift Certificate so I called them on Friday 23rd February 2024 and I spoke to a manager to explain with had happened but he refused to help me and he was extremely rude and abusive to me so I would definitely avoid this place. On Monday 26th February 2024 I lodged a payment dispute with my financial institution against them. On Wednesday 27th March 2024 the dispute was closed in my favour so I got to keep the credit of $101.00. On Thursday 4th April 2024 I called them and I spoke to a supervisor who cancelled the Gift Certificate after I explained that I thought I paid by Credit Card for the booking on Friday 1st March 2024 because I told her I made an honest mistake. I will be using Alba Hot Springs in the future because the manager there is helpful and he listens to me when I try and explain things also I have heard it is a more positive and pleasant experience. read more

Peninsula My daughters saved their money and purchased a gift voucher for my wife and l. Due to Covid and other family issues we couldn't use the gift voucher with in Peninsula Hot Springs time frame. They have steadfastly refused to honour the voucher even though it has been fully paid for. I don't see how this is fair. It should not matter when you choose to use it as you have paid for it. Just be aware before deciding to purchase a gift voucher from Peninsula Hot springs because if circumstances prevent you from getting there in time you have totally wasted your hard earned money like my kids did. read more

How have I not come here sooner! Such a gorgeous, perfect afternoon. Climb to hill top pool first and work your way down. Smell the beautiful air, look at the beautiful view, take it all in. Has 28 different pools, each with different temperatures and "activities". Lovely. Take the plunge and try the cold pool. It's surprising how refreshing it is. Cafe & picnic grounds on site. Great day out, well worth the drive of 1.5 hrs from CBD (early in the morning). Excellent massage, best in Melbourne, I keep going back for more, when I need a mini holiday. The Spa Dreaming Centre provides great surroundings to in relax before your massage and after to hang out, rehydrate and chill. The SDC is more private, no under 16, and generally less over run. The breakfast and bathe package is great value. But, make sure you book. When booking the SCD Package, access will be given to the Bath House, which is great for a different experience, the Ampitheatre is a lovely addition to the busy areas to retreat for some relaxation and quiet from the hustle and bustle. read more

Different from what I've been used to, but still nice. The basic admission price for each patron is cheap. Where I'm from, the lowest price I could possibly find anywhere for a place like this is at least $5 more expensive. However, that price included many free amenities (towels, iced water, lockers, steam room, sauna, roman bath, complimentary beverages). Here, it's either unavailable or at a cost. So it ends up costing about the same, except you are actually given a choice to purchase the extra things. Renting one locker costs an extra $2. Out of all the extra things they try to advertise to you, this is probably the only one you can't refuse for practical reasons. Everything else you can potentially bring on your own. I like how they tell us the temperature of the pools depending on how high up the hill we walk. I'd recommend starting from the least warm because moving from high-temperature to low-temperature doesn't seem to feel as good (personal opinion). They close around 10pm on Fridays. We went at night, so it was already dark by the time we got there. It might be tough to navigate your way around if you don't look at the map by the changing rooms beforehand. Apparently, this place is kid-friendly, whereas I'm used to seeing a special consent from parents or guardians who have minors under a certain age using the facility. Tough to determine if this is a place for groups, families, or couples. Saw them all, so I wouldn't imagine hesitation going here if considering this place. It's easy to have that feeling of complete freedom here. Go where you want, even do what you want. Only the insane would walk out of here not feeling more relaxed than before. Make sure you bring at least a couple plastic bags for your wet swimsuits and footwear. Men, there's a tendency for more males to get naked in that changing room, so try not to be alarmed. read more

Anytime you want to pay for pampering, you're going to spend a little bit of money. Peninsula Hot Springs are no exception. To some, it's worth it. To others, probably not so much. For a relaxing day out, a trip to the hot springs is not a bad idea at all. It is quite a large complex with several pools scattered around a natural setting. There is also a Turkish hammam and sauna available. My favourite (and understandably the most popular) pool is the hilltop pool which gives you breathtaking views of the surrounding farmlands and vineyards, or if you go on a clear evening, chances are the stars will bedazzle you with a sparkling performance! Booking online is a must, especially for groups, though I personally prefer to go with only 1 or 2 people, and weekday evenings are the best time to go. Surprisingly it can still be busy during off-peak times, but it's not like the circus you would encounter on a weekend or public holiday. It's really too crowded to the point where it can become more stressful than enjoyable. That being said, a spontaneous trip to the hot springs on a weekend will likely result in being turned away. Because of it's continuously rising popularity, the prices have been going up too. The bath house bathing is (for an adult) $35 Tues-Thurs and $45 Fri-Mon, plus $5 for locker hire and $5 for a towel. If you're on a tighter budget I would suggest to BYO picnic and snacks, BYO bottle of water or an empty bottle (plenty of drinking fountains on site, and trust me you'll need to keep hydrated), BYO towel but not white colour (as they rent out white towels, thus it's easier to get mixed up), and 1 locker to share between 3 people is fine, spacewise. Or if you don't have valuables, there are little cubby holes outside the change rooms to keep stuff in, for free. Finally, don't be afraid of the ice cold plunge pools. They are really refreshing. Best massage I've ever had. My hubby and I had a nice relaxing weekend away and booked a package in the adults bathing and spa area. We had Eleanor and Phoebe as our masseurs and floated out the door into the pools after the 90 minutes of bliss. We also had lunch there. Kangaroo for my hubby (first time ever) and he really enjoyed it. I had the mushroom tart which was excellent! Not cheap for meals but high restaurant quality and as hubby said "very fancy", lol. The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. You are provided with robes, and towels which made changing pools in the cold air much more manageable and less unpleasant. After two visits here, I feel like I've reached my limit with the public side of the springs. + Beautiful views + Multiple hot springs temperatures and baths + Comfortable atmosphere + Quality of public changing rooms - Crowded baths - Awkwardly staring at strangers - Noise level can be higher than expected - Children allowed in lower baths Overall it's a nice experience and worth the entry fee. However if you're going back I would suggest trying the private baths for more peacefulness and less crowds. They are always booked in advance so you need plenty of notice unless you are going during the week. This was my first time at the springs and I loved it. I went with my girlfriend and enjoyed a day in the public bathing area. Would strongly recommend hiring a bath robe, $7, makes going from bath to bath more enjoyable, specially on those colder days and eliminates the need for a towel. Very relaxing and could easily have stayed there all day. There are a number of springs to choose from at various temperatures and a sauna in the public bathing area. We went on a Thursday and found it fairly busy so would probably not go again if it was going to be on a weekend or public holiday. At times it did feel as if we were intruding on people when we joined their pool, specialy in pools on the smaller scale. I think next time we return we will spend that extra money and opt for private bathing. Kiosk was OK, fairly stock standard kiosk food. Pies, salads, toasties. Had a great time in the hot springs. Very nice staff, the pools are clean, and the landscaping is beautiful. The only problem where the guests! People talk way too loud here in Australia, just shut up ! Takes you right out of the mood when you hear the people yapping their gums. People are on their phones too , and the kids ! Awww no kids should be allowed. Now there are rules that are clearly posted but seems like Australians don't follow the rules. I'm glad I got there at 7am and left at 8:30. The springs where nice and quite got a good hour then the people start rolling in. Over all super nice experience, just go early , and it would be nice if the staff could enforce the rules. I love this place! The Spa Dreaming Centre is the only one I go to as it's more private and no children are allowed. You certainly don't want children around if you are relaxing in the pools. We were booked in for the. Dine and Bathe package and it was well worth it. We arrived at 11am and were booked in for lunch at 12pm. After lunch we went back for some time in the pools until 2pm. Lunch was amazing!!! I chose a Foxey's Hangout Pinot and the lentil burger. My friend chose a mango smoothie and the chicken Caesar salad. Perfect size meals and very tasty. Very impressed because usually you don't get such lovely meals at a spa. The only recommendation I would make is that you take your own towel. Theirs are a bit thin and when you're getting in and out of the pools your towel quickly gets damp. read more

I have been purchasing vouchers for some time and recently purchased another and accidentally purchased it via email. After numerous emails and messages left I had to ring Peninsula Springs. They were short and I was told my email went to another area of there email system And as for the messages left they were not acknowledged. Although I knew I had to pay for postage I would have thought out of good will they may have offered me free postage in this instance, when I questioned this I was bluntly told no and I had to pay. I am an absolute sucker for saunas, spas, pools, and the like: Hell, I get giddy splashing about in puddle with my brollies! After having visited hammams in Paris, thermal spas in Germany, jimjibangs in Seoul, and mountain hot springs in Oregon, I fancy myself as a bit of a connoisseur of hot bubbling pools of water. I didn't expect much from Peninsula Hot Springs, particularly after being spoiled rotten by the aforementioned wild springs in the Oregon woods (amazeballs, seriously), but boy oh boy was I wrong about this place. We arrived at the spa around 4:30 PM on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon and although not crowded, it certainly wasn't empty.The entry price was 30 dollars, however, you can visit after 7pm for a reduced price. After witnessing the throngs of teenagers assembled in the entry way at 6:45, I'm fairly certain that I'd prefer to pay full price, but that's just me. This place is certainly stunning: At ground level a collection of pools encircle a lovely pond replete with croaking frogs. There are more springs situated on a series of wonderfully landscaped terraces that lead up to a magnificent viewpoint. One of the highlights of my three years in Australia (thus far) has got to be soaking in the 40 degree hill top pool while taking in the stunning view of the Mornington Peninsula. Although a carefully landscaped spa complex, Peninsula hot springs has been designed to make bathers feel as if they are in a natural, almost wild setting. They really have outdone themselves here, and have seamlessly integrated the complex with elements of the native bushland. I'm already planning a return trip for my birthday in May. read more

What can I say this was an awesome experience. We pre booked for a Friday evening and at night the multiple hot springs looked spectacular! It was a bit cold so I'd recommend throngs for walking between pools and a robe so you don't get your towel all wet early on The gardens barony do the pools are Australian native style. We could even hear frogs in the background it added to general vibe. There were a large number of pools varying in size but most could accommodate about 10 people. We didn't make it to all the pools but we did make it to the top pool. It was beautiful! The stars, the steam coming off the heated pools, plus there was obviously some burning off going on close by so we could smell smoke. It just added to the experience. If this even slightly takes your fancy you should try it out. Perfect with friends, family or as a romantic outing. It wasn't too pricey either. At night it's slightly cheaper. read more

I came here with the family once and had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The price was definitely on the dear side, my dad who wasn't going to enter the water was still required to pay the full amount just to enter and watch over our bags. There are different pools for different temperatures, they range from a large 34degree pool, to a small(5 person) 40degree spa. To me the real winner of this place was the little café, it served toasties, soup and the best vanilla slice I've ever had. My family bought so many vanilla slices we ended up just asking them where they bought it. The area is all very fun, the ground is a rough concrete which means slips and falls aren't likely, the main pool has foot tubs and rocks that you can sit in. there are also plenty of chairs lying around in odd spots for you to have a rest and sun bake. The change room facilities are very good as there were plenty of lockers/showers/toilets available. Despite it being quite expensive, I would probably still come back some day. read more

Such a lovely morning experiencing the Bathing and Breakfast package. Really great value and the breakfast is truly top notch! We had the fritters and the big breakfast, juice and a coffee. Yes it gets busy, yes there are annoying tourists yelling and carrying on, but all in all it was relaxing and fun! Will definitely try the Spa Dreaming Centre next time simply to avoid all the children! (I don't know why you would bother bringing your kids here). And we'll also book a massage. Visit in winter - not as cold as you think (if at all). Remember to bring a change of clothes and shower gear if you want to wash your hair etc and plastic bags for your wet stuff! Having been there before, I was excited to book a full day of pampering to celebrate my partner's birthday. After a series of horrific events, my relationship broke down and we separated the evening before the booking. I contacted the Hot Springs immediately - in my absolute devastation I was mindful of not inconveniencing them and also not losing the $1200 I had paid. My contact went ignored until the following morning. The response I received was essentially that my family needed to have fallen apart within 24 hours and they'd either keep my money or I SHOULD COME DOWN ANYWAY! In the midst of a family breakdown, an emotional breakdown, kids to manage, no sleep... I should drive the 45 minutes to Fingal in a storm for a massage. I raised how absolutely appalled I was by this. The lack of concern for safety, the lack of compassion and humanity... it's truly disgusting. They are thieves. They did nothing to earn my $1200. I didn't even ask for a refund - I asked TWELVE HOURS BEFORE A BOOKING (and 16 hours before the actual scheduled treatments) if they could be moved to another day! One would think there is room for discretion when a fellow human being is suffering. Absolutely disgusting. For a wellbeing business they do not care AT ALL about people's wellbeing. Go to HEPBURN SPRINGS instead. This is the most appalling and compasionless business I have ever encountered. I am happy to provide copies of the correspondence to anyone who asks so that you can see for yourselves who you do business with if you give these monsters your money. read more

Too crowded and too expensive. We walked around, freezing cold trying to find a pool that didn't have 20+ people in it. There were even people waiting at pools for people to get out so they could get in. They need a locals day/ night. Or locals pass. Went here for my birthday. It is incredibly relaxing. We got there at 8am and it was really nice as it was a cold morning. We left just before 10.30 and it was quite busy by then. I recommend going early! It is very expensive but well worth it for a treat. You feel so relaxed after it! read more

Really nice place and well worth the visit, especially on a wet rainy Victorian day. They have a lot of different pools to choose from and you definitely need to do the hot/cold plunge, it's refreshing! This place gets busy. If you can, go on a weekday when school is in. We were there today and quite a few pools we went to were completely full. Book ahead too, a mistake we made and had to come back 3 hours later. It was warm and sunny today and while still nice it's definitely better when it's cold and wet. A couple of gripes. Having to pay $5 for an infant, I find this absolutely ridiculous. I don't know of anywhere that charges for an infant. They charge $5 from 1 month - 4 years old, a silly age range. Under 1 or 2 should be free, how hard is it to let a kid in that can't even walk, not really going to be using many resources are they. Kids from 2-4 that can walk around should have a charge but not a tiny infant. My son is 4 months old, I held him in the first little pool for about 5 minutes and then slept the rest of the time we were there, not really worth $5. Another couple I was chatting to had a 2 month old that didn't go near the water, another $5 thanks. Charging $5 for towel hire is a bit rich also. Considering you are paying $35-40 admission surely they can throw the towel in for nothing! $3 for a locker, $5 for a towel and $7 for the robe. Take your own towel and robe (your robe is really useful) and a large bottle of cold water. Pay for the locker and enjoy your day but don't take too many infants. read more

It's just a shame that you have to wear bathers there where as the rest of the world has these places as nude only. It was like having a bath with your bathers on, just wrong. Appalling operators. DO NOT BUY GIFT VOUCHERS from this place as they will rip you off! Absolutely no flex on the terms. 12 month expiry and literally deemed worthless after that. Had no understanding that I was pregnant so couldn't use the voucher for the bulk of the time I had the voucher. A $400+ voucher deemed null and void. I can understand an additional payment may be required post the expiry date but go render it worthless is nothing short of criminal. What a soulless operation to have a revenue model that relies on taking advantage of its customers. You should be ashamed. Came with my man as part of a sweet weekend getwaway on the Penn. Loved the Peninsula Hot Springs Resort! Real natural mineral geothermal springs from underground! We just did the bath house for a day on Fri, arrived late arvo stayed til evening. The Bath House on Fri cost $40 each. Bring a towel and waterbottle. Also if you have a waterproof camera, bring it but only take pics of yourselves and your friends. Very pleased with the mineral spas, so many of them and all set within tranquil scenery and nice gardens! Though at one point it got really busy and we never made it to the hill-top spa as it was packed full of people. The staff are super helpful though and nice to see they are constantly checking temps of the spas. There is a nice al fresco cafe and there we had pizza and pies for supper with soy chai lattes...all very yummy! Good quality ingredients and fast service. The change rooms in the bath house were clean and sufficient...would have liked to have a hair dryer for use...even like the hand dryer ones that you can spin the nozzle around to dry your hair. Lockers were large enough for both our stuff and reasonable price at $3 each.The Hamam was our favourite. Though its not exactly equipped for scrubbing and soaping but that is ok...still a very good kind of Hamam and sauna was nice too. Love the cold plunge! And the Hot Pool...I like it soak in 40degree springs...it's the best...but only for 10 minutes. It's good they have drinking water taps around the bath house...but it's probably municipal water with fluoride and chlorine, nasty...it didn't taste like natural spring water...I must ask next time. Or if anyone knows please share. Most def coming back! Next time we plan to bring electrolyte water or coconut water to help rehydrate afterwards. read more
