Peninsula Critters Care is my current dog walking service and my pups and I couldn't be happier. My dogs get so excited when Cyndi arrives. She gives them love and hellos, and off they go. Very cute. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent.

Cyndi is great--available on short notice and holidays. She will send updates and photos by text. Our cats are always well taken care of.

It gave me so much more freedom and comfort to take him with everywhere and not be worried about his behavior. I have left the Bay Area but while working there it was great to know that my pup was out for a walk while I was away at work. Trina and Craig were also very helpful on a few weekend getaways. I would highly recommend their services!

When I discovered Paws Dog Camp, I knew I had finally found the perfect sanctuary for him. Heyhey has been attending camp since July 2025, and it has played a massive role in his socialization. Because of their unique membership policy, the dogs follow a consistent weekly schedule. This means he sees the same friends every time he goes. It completely eliminates the stress of "joining a new pack" or dealing with the nerves of unknown dogs. Seeing them play in a fully fenced, monitored private farm gives me such incredible peace of mind. The bond he has with the team is the best part. Every morning at pickup, Heyhey gives the handlers the warmest welcome and practically leaps into the van without a single backward glance at me! Through the photos the handlers send, I get to see his eyes shining with pure joy as he chases balls, wrestles, and plays tug-of-war with his best human and dog friends. By the time he comes home, he is happily exhausted and goes right to sleep. The handlers so patient and truly love what they do. They are incredibly accountable and attentive to every owner's preferences. Their service is so convenient; on days I have to leave early or stay late, they handle the home pickup and drop-off without any issues. For the level of care and the expansive space they provide, the cost is wonderful--especially for a high-energy, 70lb Lab! While I haven't tried their overnight boarding yet, they will absolutely be my first choice when I travel. Thank you, Trina, Omie, Alex, and the entire team for taking such wonderful care of my boy!

Pampered Pet Care at its Finest!…read more I travel quite a bit for work and have always tried to have in-home care for my 15 year-old cat, PIA. The cost of having someone come to my home was very expensive and I ended up having to board her for one of the trips. Being in a one-cat household and used to having free range of the house, boarding her felt like putting her in kitty jail! While boarded she lost weight and her arthritis was much more pronounced when I brought her home. It took her a few days to be able to jump up on the bed whereas before it wasn't even an issue. I was dreading my next trip because I knew I would have to board her again...then a friend referred me to Charron from Bay Area Crate Escape. Charron is simply amazing! She came to my home for a meet and greet and had me fill out a detailed form about my pet. I was pleasantly surprised to find questions like how often would I like to be updated about my pet while away, what time my pet preferred to be fed, what daily routines should she maintain with my pet, would I like her to continue her daily visits if she didn't hear from me in case my travel was delayed. I gave her the keys to my house and, more importantly, the care of my pet with complete confidence. While I was away Charron updated me every other day (my preference) on PIA's welfare complete with a picture of my happy, well brushed cat. My cat is very picky with her food and often refuses to eat. Charron made a special trip to the store to purchase the food that my cat was eating to ensure she didn't go on a hunger strike (wow!). When my work trip was extended for an additional week at the last minute Charron quickly assured me that it was no problem and PIA was in good hands. With all the stressors of traveling, project deadlines and meetings it was great to know that my pet was well taken care of, my mail was being picked up and my plants were watered. All of this at an incredible rate (about the same as it cost me to board her!). I returned home to a stress-free pet. My mail was neatly arranged and my plants looked better than when I left. I am thrilled that I will never have to board PIA again, and that I can leave guilt-free for business or vacation knowing that my pet is in great hands. Thanks, Charron!

From the first…read moreintroduction to the cats and myself, she made a conscientious effort to understand all my specific requirements, and the cats' requirements. Two of the cats live inside, and the other outside, and they all have different "catanalities", food sensitivities, and temperments, which she duly took into account. Also, for my outside cat, which comes and goes from the back deck, there were several precautions she had to take to minimize the likelihood of raccoons poaching that cat's food. Furthermore, the two indoor cats were still being introduced to each other and not getting along yet, so she perfectly followed my detailed instructions for minimizing hostile interactions. Just one special touch of many: she took photos of the cats each day, and sent them via text message, with any brief notes for the day, which really helped me feel assured that they were doing well. And even though I told her not to worry about cleaning up any of the inevitable pine litter chips which would spill out of the litter boxes, she made sure to clean up any pine chips which spilled out. Charron is really dedicated to making sure your pets are happy and safe, and she is passionate about doing extraordinary pet sitting!

They love Craig and they love going to see their friends every day. They seem to get about two hours of free time at the ranch which is plenty in my opinion. We get pictures occasionally which is awesome and we have grown to completely trust Craig with our dogs while we are away at work. He is very responsive and a very kind person. I would highly recommend his services because you can tell that the dogs just aren't locked in a crate all day. The dogs always come back a little dirty and very tired! I think that are in the car for a period of time during drop off and pick up so just make sure they pee before and after drop off. They thrived all year round and always came back tired, content, and well-cared for. Tato can be a little weird in a big pack of dogs. But in this environment, she was happy and acclimated very quickly. I would see how happy she was on the instagram posts--she's never like that at home or at the dog park. Like with any daycare or hike in California, it's smart to keep your dogs on flea/tick prevention. During high season, we did have to pull a couple ticks off our pups, but that's just part of living in California -- not a reflection on the owner or the service. Most of the year it was never an issue. We were so sad when we moved because we know we'll never find anyone quite like Craig where we are now. If you're lucky enough to be local, this is truly a gem for both dogs and their humans!
