We usually come home with lots of cat litter on the floor cause my friends will not sweep the litter for us, and the house smells bad after trips. I tired her service last week 1st time, we went for 2 days trip and come home with no mess finally. They changed the water for my cats and floor was not too messy with cat litter. They helped to move the trash bin back to the driveway and pickup the package outside the front yard. I am happy that finally we don't need to depend on my friends to take care of our cats. Pampered Pet Care at its Finest!…read more I travel quite a bit for work and have always tried to have in-home care for my 15 year-old cat, PIA. The cost of having someone come to my home was very expensive and I ended up having to board her for one of the trips. Being in a one-cat household and used to having free range of the house, boarding her felt like putting her in kitty jail! While boarded she lost weight and her arthritis was much more pronounced when I brought her home. It took her a few days to be able to jump up on the bed whereas before it wasn't even an issue. I was dreading my next trip because I knew I would have to board her again...then a friend referred me to Charron from Bay Area Crate Escape. Charron is simply amazing! She came to my home for a meet and greet and had me fill out a detailed form about my pet. I was pleasantly surprised to find questions like how often would I like to be updated about my pet while away, what time my pet preferred to be fed, what daily routines should she maintain with my pet, would I like her to continue her daily visits if she didn't hear from me in case my travel was delayed. I gave her the keys to my house and, more importantly, the care of my pet with complete confidence. While I was away Charron updated me every other day (my preference) on PIA's welfare complete with a picture of my happy, well brushed cat. My cat is very picky with her food and often refuses to eat. Charron made a special trip to the store to purchase the food that my cat was eating to ensure she didn't go on a hunger strike (wow!). When my work trip was extended for an additional week at the last minute Charron quickly assured me that it was no problem and PIA was in good hands. With all the stressors of traveling, project deadlines and meetings it was great to know that my pet was well taken care of, my mail was being picked up and my plants were watered. All of this at an incredible rate (about the same as it cost me to board her!). I returned home to a stress-free pet. My mail was neatly arranged and my plants looked better than when I left. I am thrilled that I will never have to board PIA again, and that I can leave guilt-free for business or vacation knowing that my pet is in great hands. Thanks, Charron!

From the first…read moreintroduction to the cats and myself, she made a conscientious effort to understand all my specific requirements, and the cats' requirements. Two of the cats live inside, and the other outside, and they all have different "catanalities", food sensitivities, and temperments, which she duly took into account. Also, for my outside cat, which comes and goes from the back deck, there were several precautions she had to take to minimize the likelihood of raccoons poaching that cat's food. Furthermore, the two indoor cats were still being introduced to each other and not getting along yet, so she perfectly followed my detailed instructions for minimizing hostile interactions. Just one special touch of many: she took photos of the cats each day, and sent them via text message, with any brief notes for the day, which really helped me feel assured that they were doing well. And even though I told her not to worry about cleaning up any of the inevitable pine litter chips which would spill out of the litter boxes, she made sure to clean up any pine chips which spilled out. Charron is really dedicated to making sure your pets are happy and safe, and she is passionate about doing extraordinary pet sitting!

The woman told me they serve the peninsula and do dog pickups at your house. She asked where I was located and how she could help [[Note that the only address I could find for them is in a residential area (113 S Humboldt St, San Mateo, CA 94401) that cannot possibly be the outdoor facility where the dogs are cared for.]] We did this a few times and the woman gave the same answer every time and would not say where the dog daycare facility is located. She then got incensed that I kept asking the same question and said she would not be "grilled." The call lasted only about a minute. I would never put my dogs in the care of anyone who is not willing to identify where their facility/operations are located. Within a few minutes, I received two calls from an "No Caller ID" phone number. I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, let alone from a phone number that is concealed. It has been many years since I last got a call from such a number. Given the woman's indignant and self-righteous hostility, I have to wonder if she is the one that made the two "No Caller ID" calls. But who knows, maybe that was just a coincidence. Suffice it to say, I will not be using their services.
