Ask the Community - PenFed Credit Union

Do they have a notary?

They are a financial institution, so I presume they do have a Notary. What Credit Union in Texas would not have one on staff. I have never asked to use there Notary so can't say for sure. But Logic says ther have one.

From the very first conversation, Eric was open and honest about our chances of approval and clearly explained the type of loan we were getting, along with the steps involved in the process. Throughout the entire experience, Eric kept us informed and up to date on every development. He took the time to listen to all of our questions and concerns, addressed them thoroughly, and made sure we always understood what was happening. His communication, transparency, and professionalism truly stood out. Eric made the loan process smooth and surprisingly enjoyable. He is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely driven to help his clients get approved without putting them into a financial situation they can't afford. We are extremely grateful for his support and guidance and would absolutely recommend working with Eric Simmons at SouthStar Bank to anyone looking for a loan.

I have banked both personally and business wise with several banks; the attentiveness and level of service I receive here is by far and away above any I have had from any other bank. For security purposes, I can understand that. However, when I called NFCU and asked if there were any restrictions on my account, I was told no and that were was no reason notated on my account, "or my mothers" as to why she was denied the available funds. This was an inconvenience for my mother. Either this was incompetence on the bank teller's behalf or this was a personal matter which resulted in my mother being denied the available funds. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience with NFCU and I no longer use them as my main banking institution. My hard earned money is really no good here. My experience with Navy Federal credit Union after being with them for 14 years they are not here to help us They go to your account charge you a fee. The fee should not have been in charge of $100 out of my checking account and they would not refund it back to me when it shouldn't happen in the beginning. Navy Navy Federal credit Union is only out for the money My experience January 31st 2025 was a bad experience I would not recommend Navy Federal to my military Conrad's that I serve with nor my fellow veterans They do not care about us They only care about the money. So sad

This bank is nothing but vultures. If I could give negative stars it would be negative five stars…read moreand not this just one branch but the entire company. While I had negative exchanges with them in the past my son and his girlfriend decided to give them a chance opened a joint account. My son had some money trouble and tried to get a loan for 400 dollars from an outside source. Unfortunately the loan was a scam and they instead tried to take his money and latter her account was hacked from an unknown outside source. They had the account froze for the investigation which is proper but after this they didn't care and we're not helping or systemic to thier situation at all. Wanting to close the accounts and having very little money in the account since she lost her job they had to fight to get 20 dollars out of the bank and because of the short time they had the account they were charged 25 dollars to close both accounts. They always go by the book regardless of the situation. They never consider people's situations when things like this occurs. Even if you have only .30 cents in a account they will still hit you with this fee as they found out. They see people in bad situations as opportunities to exploit not a place where they can actually help you. After all all these fees add up and if they hold your money they can get interest off it. My son who has an account with a great bank 'chase' was surprised by thier cold uncaring manner due to how helpful and understanding Chase has always been if he had any situation come up with his account. These people have the options to wave fees they just chose not too. That is very small minded considering the state of the world right now. So beware doing business with these heartless people and do it at your own risk.
