This cafe is somewhat trendy and it seemed popular, so I took break and checked it out on this lovely Friday afternoon. I ordered a caracol (cinnamon bun) and a small cafe Americano con leche. The caracol was quite large and I felt guilty ordering it just based on the high sugar and calories alone. But it tasted good. I have to admit that the service was not that great here today. They forgot the leche in the cafe, and I needed to flag down a different Server for a spoon to stir the cafe and leche that they brought to the table. Then it seemed like there was a lot of confusion about what was supposed to be on the check. It was like nobody knew! I like the ambiance, and the outdoor seating is awesome, but it seemed like there was a lot of confusion amongst the 8+ employees.

Super yummy - the food tasted fresh, and like it was prepared with care. And the staff were really attentive and kind! I highly recommend the flautas, tlacoyos and panque de plátano

    Yum!!! Chilaquiles verdes!

As soon as I got into Mexico City I had a craving for chilaquiles. When I walked past Peltre and saw another women eating them I knew it was a sign and I had to have them! I loved the sauce to chip ratio. It helped the chips not get soggy as quickly. They were generous with the crema and queso. The egg was cooked perfectly. My only complaint was the flavor of the green salsa. It tasted more like it came from a jar than it was made fresh. The staff were very kind and service was great.

Another restaurant from famous Mexican Chef Daniel Ovadia that simply get's the job done, wether you want to have a nice breakfast or an early brunch, Peltre has a food selection large enough to satisfy every palate. It's menu consist pretty much in classical Mexican breakfast dishes with the personal chefs touch, different variations to American and continental breakfast, bakery and coffee. It might be a little overpriced, but if happen to pass by and find an empty table be sure to give it a try

Peltre is a cute cafe mini-chain in Mexico City turning out filling breakfast and lunch. I visited the Condesa location with my family over the holidays and we all had satisfying breakfasts. It's fast-casual, with counter service and slick decor. It was typically pretty crowded when we walked by but not too popular in the early morning. Staff quick and nice, easy to communicate with. I had eggs with ham, peas, and plantains; it was a bit salty and a massive portion. Eggs in salsa with avocado were far tastier, and the massive Nutella croissant was great. Coffees are served in bowl-sized mugs. Very affordable-- about $20 after tax and tip for a party of 3. Recommended for a casual breakfast if in the area.

This place is really clean and the service is amazing. The food was even better, I ordered avocado toast an it was immaculate.

Goat cheese + spinach omelette in a tomato sauce Loved the green juice. Did not like the driest cheese sprinkled on the frijoles

Goat cheese and spinach omelette w/squash blossoms in a tomato sauce for the win! Plus a green juice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I speak poquito Español and they speak little English but we made it work and I'm happy with my breakfast. Great decor- simple, clean, and hair pin legs always get me!

Love this restaurant's concept a minimalist decor with a Mexican American touch. I had the 'huevos motuleños' and unfortunately were very bland and greasy. The tortilla felt old and chewy. Nice chai latte and friendly staff. Hope their cooking improves - lovely spot!

Comida mala, bebidas pésimas pero lo peor es la atención. Además tienen el descaro de pedir la propina por adelantado!!!

My husband had horrible food poisoning, likely from the tortilla soup of all things. He's been vomiting all night. Please be careful!

A cute and delicious restaurant within walking distance of the Frida Kahlo museum. Unlike many…read moreplaces in Mexico that cater to tourists, this place is very authentic. I ordered the Huevos Mexicanos, which translates to "Mexican eggs." It's basically scrambled eggs mixed with salsa, served with a side of black beans and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Although very simple, the flavor was very delicious (I think they use some meat juices for cooking or something). I also ordered a cup of black coffee. If you are a coffee drinker, do yourself a favor and get it every time in Mexico. I normally don't drink coffee black, but I guess that's because I've been drinking the wrong coffee. :P The coffee was very smooth and smelled strongly of cinnamon. Delicious! We were offered free bread and tortillas with our meal. I didn't eat the tortillas because I was full, but the bread was that perfect, pillowy soft kind with a flaky shell. The bill was very affordable at around $6 per person. Gotta love the exchange rate!
