Don't trust Janel Pelosi with your property or rental!
I needed help getting my rental ready and listing it while I was out of the country. Janel seemed professional at first, but what followed was a disaster.
She arranged for someone named Matthew Mrozek to paint my kitchen and other rooms for $2,750. She presented this as if she was bringing in a professional painter to help me. What she didn't tell me is that Matt is actually another real estate agent on her team, not a painter. She made it seem like she was providing a real contractor service when she was just bringing in someone else from her office.
The kitchen was never actually painted, even though I paid for it. When I discovered the work wasn't done months later, I reached out to Janel about getting it finished. Instead of actually fixing her mistake, her team had Matt say he'd "pass by when he's done with his open houses on Saturday." No specific time, no accountability, nothing. That's how little she cares about making it right.
Here's the real issue: Janel doesn't actually oversee the work from her contractors. She just collects the commition and moves on. She doesn't visit to inspect, doesn't ask for photos, doesn't follow up. For her, it's all about making the commission, client satisfaction means nothing.
On top of that, she quoted me for carpet replacement at more than double what other companies charged. When I found my own contractor, the same job cost a fraction of her price.
It's clear to me that Janel's priority isn't helping her clients, it's making as much money as possible, regardless of quality or whether the work even gets done.
