This place is located near the bridge and always busy. We came here as it's one of the few places that open on Sunday mornings. Glad someone is willing to work so we travelers don't have to starve lol. J K - totally respect countries where people have a better work/life balance and don't feel shops have to open 24/7 to cater to any whims and wishes.
Anyway, they have a nice breakfast buffet which includes a nice spread of items, including the Karelian Pies (karjalanpiirakka) that you must try if you are visiting Finland. When I heard "rice porridge inside a rye bread shell" I thought it sounds weird if not gross, but one bite and I became so obsessed I got them whenever I saw them during my trip.
If you are not getting the buffet, they have sandwiches and other pastries you can get with a nice cup of coffee as well.
The inside is bright and beautiful, and service very nice. You can make a reservation online ahead of your visit to make sure you get a table. read more
