The dining and bar area on the second floor definitely has a rustic pub feeling that fits the unassuming facade. The place wasn't crowded, and we easily found a table and placed an order. The beer selection is rather limited -- Foster's seems to be the norm, and Krušovice Cerne for the dark beer. I had one of each throughout the meal. I ordered 20 wings with medium spice, and we shared an order of fries. Perhaps it's because I'm used to mutant chickens in the USA, but I was disappointed that the wings were quite small. They were accompanied by the usual suspects -- blue cheese dipping sauce, celery, carrots. I will say the sauce was quite tasty, but "medium" is very medium in this case -- don't fear the spice here. I'm glad I visited SiipiWeikot, but for me it didn't really live up to the hype -- feels like an average wings place. Worth a visit, but next time I'll branch out and see what else Tampere wings joints have to offer.

The beer selection reflects the Belgian theme of the place. I'm more of an IPA guy, and took a pint of their only IPA tap (Jaipur, Thornbridge Brewery). For food, I had the schnitzel, which was solid -- evidenced by my cleaned plate. Finished with a Stella for liquid dessert. If your beer tastes favor Central Europe and/or you're looking for a quiet, classier place to wine and dine, I highly recommend Tuulensuu. The staff were also friendly and knowledgeable. I've had the AkkaMetso burger twice which is the chicken burger and pretty ok though I wouldn't mind making it a bit more spicy. Somehow the sauce just lacks a "special" taste. The fries that came with the burger were great. One time I also ordered the portion with veggie balls and really enjoyed it. And the dessert was a delight too! This was the first time I've dined at UkkoMetso, and it was a pleasant experience. Good service, good brew selection, good food. Solid all around. My only real critique is the beer prices -- hard for me to stomach dropping nearly 10 EUR for a pint of domestic craft brew. If you're looking for that upscale pub vibe, UkkoMetso is sure to please. While the prices are a little steep for this to be my regular watering hole, for sure I'll return :)
