After a getting responses from Pella, I was able to have the situation remedies satisfactorily. In addition, the gentleman, Michael, was albe to give me suffiiecient infromation to be able to fully utilize the 4 windows in a manner I was unaware of. Stll a little unhappy with the degree of difficulty in getting ahold of Pella but once that was accomplished they were just great. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PELLA - NORTH CAROLINA! Sales department is great, everything after they get your deposit is disappointing and unprofessional. As similar other reviews have said - they have major labor issues right now and shouldn't be operating frankly. We were re-scheduled nine different times, they installed poorly and had to come back out and made it VERY clear they were not happy to be there. (He actually greeted us with "I really don't want to be here right now, this is ridiculous I had to come back out here"). Also - as an added bonus you get to manage all communication and your project yourself - if you want something done, you will have to repeatedly call, email and call some more until somebody returns your call and schedules you. At one point, they just started giving me the installers numbers directly so I could skip the Pella project managers and manage the project myself - why did I pay you so much if I'm doing your job for you??? I regret buying from Pella, I thought paying the higher price tag would get be better product and better service - but alas it did not. I won't be buying from Pella in the future. **IMPORTANT NOTE - Pella in North Carolina is independently owned, so when you call Corporate for help (which I did after the 8th re-schedule), they can't help or do anything. You're essentially buying the Pella brand windows, but with terrible independent contractors. read more

I invested over $15,000 on my dream front door. Now, over a year later since the process with Pella began, I am left with an unfinished and unsatisfactory front door. Though I received great service initially, when the sale was made, it declined rapidly once issues arose. (Warped door.) This week the door manufacturer installed the new door (when it's a warranty issue they do their own installs) and he apologized for the planing he would have to do to make the door fit. He was surprised that Pella hadn't done a pre-install fitting. Also that the staining and painting had been done beforehand because, as I see now, how can you match the stain when it isn't side by side with the initial door. Because I needed the one door panel replaced, Pella decided to stain and paint the door in house to save them having to come out to my home again. Because of this sloppy service, I now have two doors that look like two different colors and paint that was planed off. I am so disappointed in this company. read more

Do NOT do business with this company. Clearly it is run by a bunch of clowns. First, they couldn't give us a proper quote for our windows bc they couldn't count. We waited patiently for months for the windows to be made which was right on schedule. They sent one person to install all 22 windows. This delayed the installation which resulted in missed time and work for us. The project manager was rude and in an entirely different city. She suggested that we just leave our home open and unattended so the worker could just come and go as he pleased. We are living in our home and have pets. They eventually sent more workers to help after the first week. For 3 of our windows we paid EXTRA money for bc they are double hung with a hidden screen. All the screens are broken. This was noticed during the installation. I called the project manager who said they could put in a repair request once the job was done. I wanted the windows removed and my old ones put back in, but they wouldn't do that. The windows have been in for more than 6 weeks. They made an appt for service repair, but Pella cancelled and they have yet to return our calls or schedule us for a follow up. This was a 40k job. This is horrible service for such an expensive job. The windows are nice but I would strongly suggest another company that would provide better care to their customers. read more

Update to my previous review. Pella did contact us and offered to do the 2nd time (in less than 3 months) door knob repair without a service fee. Wonderful! So - they mailed a box to the house (a new knob or part-not sure what it was) to us and when the service tech arrived he said it was the WRONG part. He told my husband he would "fix" the door knob AGAIN - AND show my husband how to do it in the future. I wasn't there when this transpired..so my questions to my husband were: What is wrong with the knob that the tech thinks it will happen again? Why not reorder and get the correct part and come back? And - will it void the warranty when someone other than a Pella rep works on the door? I would now rate Product and Service below 1 if I could. read more

We recently had 3 sets of custom Pella french doors and a kitchen window installed in our house. From beginning to end the experience was fantastic. From our extremely knowledgeable and thorough salesman to the installers the experience was seamless. They kept us aware of what was happening next throughout the process. When the job was finished and the installers left you couldn't even tell they had been there. Now we have doors and a window that give a us a beautiful view of the the great outdoors. Pella exceeded our expectations and that is not easy to do. I can't wait to get the rest of the windows replaced. Thanks to all at Pella Asheville! read more
