We were excited as it was 5pm and they were open until 10 (typically on Saturday wineries are only open until 6). So, we went in, hoping to do a wine tasting and share a bottle on the patio. We were told we couldn't do a tasting since there was a wedding going on. Okay. So we tried 2-3 samples so we could order a glass we liked. The very few we tried were ok. We were at least able to pick one. Then we went to the patio. Photos of the view are attached. Beautiful view of an alley and someone's house and some cars. The best part is over our speaker we heard this couples entire wedding ceremony. We could see it through the patio doors too. Talk about uncomfortable. I'm thinking the winery should close to the public when they have a wedding ceremony going on - since we couldn't get the same service and had to listen to someone's wedding. What a strange experience. Good thing we never come through Sully, Iowa! Seemed like it could've been a cute place...if it closed for weddings.

The owners gave excellent recommendations and encouraged us to taste new things. Then we went to the deck to enjoy our choices. It was a beautiful atmosphere with preferred seating both inside and out . Prices are extremely reasonable and we bought some wine to go. A fabulous time!!

The bed in the Royal Red Room was very comfortable, multiple types of pillows are provided so you can pick the one that best suits your needs, and the bathroom is very well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Virginia is a lovely host - present if you want her to be, and absent if you don't, which is something some other B&B's haven't figured out. :) The Stone Mansion is in a convenient location and much more comfortable than the hotels in the area. We can't wait to have a reason to stay there again!

When I used my phone to see our lodging options, I resigned myself to sleeping somewhere resembling low income housing. Then I saw the B&B tab on TripAdvisor and the McNeill Stone Mansion B&B was presented with beautiful rooms just across the street. Gary and Virginia were very accommodating to our up in the air schedule, the rooms and mansion are beautiful, and the breakfast is fantastic. Take the time to get to know the history of the home and look through the numerous before and during photos of its restoration. I don't know when we will be back, but we will be back. I apologize for the photos. My next review should be of the image handling of an iPhone. I'm tired of fighting the image rotation.

The owner set up a vanity in the breezeway which made for plenty of room for hair and make up to be going on at the same time! Great communication and quick response from the owner when our glam teams blew a breaker. Would definitely stay here again for any occasion!

It's much more scenic than some of the other towers as it looks over the lake and the rest of the park. There's also more room in the observation area to spread out from other visitors and enjoy the view. There are bathrooms and picnic tables at the base of the tower and ample parking. I'd like to explore more of the park itself on our next visit, seems like there's a lot to offer.
