If I'm south-side at sunset, I find myself popping into Pelican's Landing almost unintentionally. If you do the same, you'll see why! On the second floor, positioned right on the water, Pelicans is a beautiful spot to watch the sun set over our gorgeous skyline, from either inside or outside on the high-walled glass-enclosed balcony. Now, it's not awfully beautiful, it's polished concrete floors and tacky tables and thick-glass pub-style pot glasses screaming "I'm a pub trying to be fancy, but on a budget" so loudly it might interfere with your relaxing view of the sun sinking over the city, and the prices for meals are pretty high for what you get (think $20 for an entree). But it's a pretty spot, it's pretty easy to get a table with a great view, and so long as you're just going for a drink, it's fine. I'll be back there again, but if you were looking to take someone someplace on a first-date or to wow them, might want to try somewhere else nearby.. it'll probably be cheaper and a bit more refined. read more
