Main Street, and it is within a reasonable walking distance from my own home! It opened yesterday, and I stopped there mid-day while all the kids were still in school, so it wasn't packed... But boy will it be on weekends. I've tried those kid-friendly snowcones that have gummies in them, and man are they delicious! However, I would not recommend the extra gummy if you are wearing braces or are under any dental care. Just like the other location, there is bean bag toss and outdoor seating, so it's great to stop at after long walks outside! Craving snowcones? Look no further than Pelicans

For instance they have kids snowballs that are on the menu listed as coming with a gummy on/in them to represent the name of that snowball, ie: Butterfly kiss comes with a butterfly gummy. My kids love these because of the gummy's. They have recently started charging 50 cents extra to add the gummies to the snowball even though it's supposed to come with it. The last time I went it cost me around $14 for three kids snowballs. I just feel like that's way too expensive for some ice with flavored liquid sugar on it, but maybe that's just me. The service is great and the employees are normally very friendly. We like that they have outside games and things for the kids to do. You usually have to fight off yellow jackets when you eat at the tables outside, so if you're not ok being around bees I'd eat your snowball in your car.

My little group stopped at this place and really had a great time here! The flavor selections are gigantic! I actually forgot exactly what kind of snowball my grand boys had! The boys at their age want to sample everyone's naturally! This Pelican's does a large volume of business! They all do and they are the go to place for a wonderful custom made frozen delight! I withheld one star because they didn't top off anyone's snowball with as much ice as the Gaffney Pelican location! Nevertheless; of course I highly recommend this store!

I only order the Avalanche size cup and even though it's huge, I always regret if I get a smaller size! The texture of the shaved ice is so soft and easy to eat. I have loved most every flavor that I've tried, but I will say you have to be careful because some of the flavors are artificial tasting. The employees are always helpful and usually know which flavors taste the most artificial. My all time favorite combo to order is half Wild Strawberry and half Pina Colada. Just trust me on this. There are 4 different strawberry flavors but the Wild Strawberry is the best and tastes the most real. The Pina Colada is the best compliment and gives you more of a tropical flavor which I love. Very often I have found myself going back to Pelican's twice in one day. It's that tasty and refreshing!

We ordered a pup cup after getting our order (we didn't see the sign that they were available) and after waiting 15 minutes for it and finishing our snowballs we decided to just leave. The shaved ice was really good--it just melts in your mouth--and the Polar Punch flavor is a must-try. Overall, this place is great. The only downside was that it took a little while to order, but that's understandable since there were only two workers at a late hour. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a fun dessert spot.
