With the air conditioner of the car out of service and the repair shop could not get to it for over a week, only added to the aggravation. Last week, got the car back after the compressor had been rebuilt but still hot, it was my turn to pick up Watson the Corgi from the Woof Den aka Doggie Day Care. Had the brilliant idea to stop by Pelicans Snoballs for a snow cone. Used to occasionally stop by the franchise in Cornelius for one but first time at this one. We moved from Cornelius to Trilogy a little over two years ago. From what I can see, Pelicans Snoballs are seasonal at least in this area. Picked up Watson and drove a couple hundred yards and pulled into the parking lot. No inside dining but just walk up to the counter and order. Left the car running with the A/C on which Watson enjoyed even if he was still wet from his romp in the kiddy pool. At no time was I more than 10 feet from the car. Ordered a Cream Soda Snow Cone which was refreshing and, in the heat, a welcome relief. They have something like 100 different flavors they offer. We then drove home so that Watson could get his dinner. Dinner was later than usual so needless to say, Watson was not happy. Fortunately, this was only about a 10-minute drive. When we got home, there was a little of the shaved ice left and put some in Watson's water dish which he seemed to enjoy.
