Overall a disappointing car wash experience. After spending over $20 on a car wash you're left with a car that's barely washed, still covered in water after you roll out, and bugs all over the front. I think the issue is the wash goes way too fast so not nearly enough time to get anything off the car other than a little dirt not enough time to properly dry it. The staff does a quick once over when you enter but clearly if the car has bugs all over it maybe you should stop it, put some effort into getting them off since obvious the wash process doesn't do much. read more

If you use the wash on 190, be ready to dry it off by hand. The blowers are weak and do not dry at all. Also, your side mirrors will be full of soap, and it blows all over the side of your car when you try to blow it off With the air hose. Needs another blower pointed out the door to blow off your mirrors. Started off good but has gotten sorry. read more

Leaving the hospital I noticed a child's ketchup handprints across the side of my car, still wet! I stopped at Pelican Pointe on hwy 190, first I was trying to get the $18 wash but ended up with the $15 wash, fine. Then as I am driving into the wash the guy was urging me forward but the large lights behind him were alerting me to stop put car in N. I rolled down my window to my surprise the guy barked at me to put my car in neutral when HE told me too! I just wanted to get out of there. Could my day get any worse? Yes, after I left when I stopped to pick up my prescriptions I noticed I still had ketchup hands and had to pay Tommy's car wash to get them off, where at least I can say the pre hose guy was nice! read more

This place used to be awesome but now when I leave there my car is still soaking wet like the air driers missed 80% of my vehicle. And so much for a spot free rinse because I get home with leopard spots on all my windows and chrome. And it's not just a quick wipe off either, the spots etch quick and I have to clay bar them off. Upgraded to the highest package to get the ceramic coat and all that has done is left me with even more spots. When I started going here it was an in and out and air dry ordeal but now if I don't spend 10+ minutes drying my vehicle it's covered in water spots. Not to mention the one place that always run the brush over is covered in swirl marks. Sad because this place is so convenient and was awesome at one point. read more

Pelican Pointe operates a number of car washes both in N.O. and in the metro area. The price for their single washes which includes access to heavy duty vacuums is pretty standard. I think the quality of the wash is acceptable, my only gripe being that sometimes after the wash there are little patches of soap remaining but this only happens now and then. What I like about Pelican Pointe is that they have monthly plans if you want to wash you car regularly. Like the single washes, they are also tiered from economy to super splurge level. If you frequently wash your car these passes will save you a ton of money. They give you a sticker on your windshield which is automatically recognized by the computer when you pull up and the arm raises. With this pass you can just roll in there like a boss while everyone else is fumbling with cash / card. I live close to the New Orleans location on S. Claiborne which is a nice wash but I have to say the facilities were better at this location. Also, they have all these crazy lights throughout the wash. Going through the wash I found myself thinking, is this a car wash or a rave?! Or both!? In all this a a great place to keep your wheels clean and have a little party in your car with the colorful lights. read more

I brought my new Lexus ES350 for a wash on Monday August 16, 2021 at the LA Hwy 21 location in Covington. I did not notice the damage to my car until a few days later in my garage. I have two dents on the roof of my car over the driver's side and passenger's side doors. In addition, I have scratches on the trunk. I brought my car back to the car wash on Friday, August 20, 2021 to notify you of the damages. The man I spoke to was very nice and took pictures of the damage and got my VIN number. I left my phone number and have not heard back. I sent 3 email messages to info@pelicanpointecarwash.com on August 21, 24 and 30. No response back yet. I have gotten an estimate to repair for $476. I am a infrequent customer but visited the one on Florida Ave today. My windshield wiper was inadvertently damaged going through the car wash. The staff immediately tried to repair and then followed me over to auto zone where they purchased a new wiper to replace my damaged one. I wanted to thank them for going above and beyond to fix the problem. Nice to see companies/staff making the extra effort. I will be back. read more

I have been using this car wash for years without problems, but several months ago my new car was severely damaged going through the wash. Immediately upon leaving the car wash, I noticed spots covering the entire car. I took it back to have them look at it and I was told the spots were just excess wax and they would go away with time. It has been 3 months, and not only are the spots still there, the stains have now etched into the paint. I have taken the car to my dealership and to a body shop, both of who are estimating it will take thousands of dollars to repair. I have reached out to the car wash to discuss this, but they have been unwilling to talk. I am a local business owner and I would not recommend this car wash to anyone. There are far better options on the Northshore to get your car washed. read more

My Jeep had not been washed in awhile, and I decided to take the easy route and take it through a car wash. I paid for the Platinum package, with the tire shine and such. There were four attendants standing around, but I'm not sure what their job was, exactly. They never actually did anything, as the whole process is automated. Maybe one of them presses a button, I'm not sure. You have to prewash the car yourself. Which begs the question, why go to a car wash? By the time my $15 car "wash" was complete, I could not even tell I had been there. The dirt was still there, the lines on the windshield where the wipers reach were still plainly visible, there were spots on every surface, the tires were still streaked with dirt. Anywhere you ran your finger on the vehicle, there was still dust/dirt. I admit, as stated, the vehicle had not been washed in awhile, but it's not like it was covered in mud. I drive around in town, so there was only the accumulated dirt you would expect. And there was absolutely no difference before and after. Additionally, you have to pay for the mat cleaners, and they are just as useless. I ran my two mats through twice (an additional $2), and I could have done a better job with a water hose. The only nice feature were the vacuums, and only because they had decent suction. Needless to say, I ended up returning home and cleaning the vehicle myself. In conclusion: If you own a vacuum cleaner, a water hose and a rag or sponge, stay home and wash your car. You'll do a much better job. read more

I visited the Covington​ store and it was quick​ and convenient​ when your car is in need of a wash on a budget. The young​ lady working today was so kind and helpful, although​ her male counterpart seemed unapproachable and was rude, perhaps​ he was being trained.
