Absolutely Outstanding Stay - Best Holiday Inn Express Experience Hands Down!…read more I just wrapped up an incredible stay at the Holiday Inn Express Pascagoula-Moss Point, and wow--what a gem! From the moment I walked in, the super friendly staff had me feeling like family. Shoutout to the front desk team--they were genuinely welcoming, helpful with local recommendations, and always smiling no matter what time of day. The rooms are seriously spacious--big, modern, and spotless. Plenty of room to spread out, comfortable beds that felt like sleeping on clouds, crisp fresh linens, and everything just smelled clean and inviting. It's the kind of place where you actually look forward to coming back after a long day. And the breakfast? Absolute game-changer. They go way beyond the standard continental--hot options like eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, and great coffee that kept flowing. It was delicious, well-stocked every morning, and the variety made starting the day easy and enjoyable. The whole property is well-maintained, quiet, convenient off I-10, and perfect for anyone passing through or staying in the Moss Point/Pascagoula area. Cleanliness is top-tier, value is unbeatable, and the vibe is just positive all around. If you're looking for a reliable, upgraded Holiday Inn Express experience with big rooms, killer breakfast, and staff that truly cares--book this place without hesitation. 10/10, will definitely be back next time I'm in the area! Highly recommend--easily one of the best in the chain.

The parking area didn't feel like a safe place for me to leave my car, and it was a bit of a rough crowd that seemed to be staying there. One guy was intently staring at me as I unloaded my car, and there is no security for the hotel. The room felt clean, which was good for a $135 room fee (plus $15 pet fee). Also there are shelves by the sink that are extremely easy for cats to jump onto. This makes it possible for them to climb onto the extremely weak plastic light fixture over the sink. I tried my best to block off this shelf with boxes from my car, but my clever cat still managed to climb up there and wake me multiple times throughout the night. The platform of the bed is also about eight inches from the wall allowing dogs or cats a perfect hard to reach hiding spot. My brother was placed in a room next to the laundry room which also has the maids utility closet in it. He woke to someone doing their laundry at 3am, and then again at 9am to the maids laughing and talking loudly. I recommend trying to get a room that isn't near the laundry area if you're going to stay here.

They had a free breakfast Buffett for the morning that including eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereal, as well as muffins, fruit, bagels, juice, and coffee. Well worth the price!

When we first checked in, our room's smell slapped us in the face with cigarette smoke and…read morewater/must/mold. Very strong. The front desk actually called up to us after we got to our room to ask if we were okay with everything or needed anything. I brought up the smell and she said it's a non-smoking room so it shouldn't be that bad. It felt like a dismissal of liability but whatever. I didn't trade rooms because I wanted to be across from my father's room. Thankfully my baby doesn't have asthma or respiratory issues. We all kept waking up with runny noses and headaches though, so it's a situation. I was concerned with cleaning room staff because one of the ladys walked into my room (I had a "do not disturb" sign on the door!) and then walked out after figuring out that we were inside. Upon walking down the hallway I noticed another member of cleaning staff doing something in a guest's room, and after he left he didn't close the door. He left it opened for some reason even after he had finished refreshing the room!! More concern. To top off my concerns, when we arrived back at our room for the night after being at my grandmother's funeral we parked next to a couple blatantly having sex and smoking weed in their vehicle. I looked over so they would KNOW I saw and the male exited his car. However, when I spoke to the front desk clerk about the safety concerns I had she told me "if I don't mess with them they won't mess with me" and "we have cameras if they did try to mess with anything." After I walked away from the desk, she burst out laughing and told the other two ladies standing there something, probably making fun of me for being concerned. My husband and I were contemplating leaving immediately. When we woke up and stepped out of room door, it was an overpowering smell of weed. The staff were the only ones in the hallways. I used the laundry machines to wash/dry clothes, it costs $2 in quarters for each. There are no quarter machines so you have to go down to the front desk and trade dollar for quarters. One of the machine's detergent drawer was completely missing and detergent had leaked down the washer. The ice machine right beside it didn't work. This is on the third floor, I cannot speak to any of the other floors. I feel like I'm just adding insult to injury at this point so I'm done. I will add that one of the only redeeming factors is the breakfast and breakfast staff! The lady refreshing the food was so kind and kept everything very clean. In conclusion, if you're looking for a place to stay to chill/smoke weed/have sex in the parking lot/wake up with headaches and runny noses from the smoke inside your room this is your place. This location has signage communicating a smoke-free environment but that doesn't apply obviously. The sad part, the other surrounding hotels didn't look much better on this exit. My advice would be stay at a different exit. Having to drive a little further would've been worth not having my family's safety compromised. They just don't care to follow rules!

On the Wyndham website, says "Pet friendly". Assuming it is like all other LaQuinta's , pets are free. Wrong wrong wrong!!!!! One has to delve further into the site to find a $20 pet fee - max $40. Not knowing this, I was quite irritated. Especially since they now wanted a $25 per pet. Said "the policy changed and Wyndham did not update it". Bull! Even though it was 22 minutes past the cancellation hour, I asked to be released from the room. They said OK but would still charge me the 1 night rate even if I did not stay. Not an ounce of customer goodwill. Even as a Rewards member - not budging an inch. So I stayed - and they then decided to give me a $10 reduction and graciously (??) only charged me $20 for a pet. Be warned - DO NOT STAY at this LaQuinta. You will be sorely disappointed. PS: Forgot to mention that the first room assigned to me (123) had an a/c unit that literally sounded like a jackhammer. The lady at the desk then asked if "the room was cool enough" for me and assumed I would stay there if it was. Needless to say, I changed rooms. 3 1/2 stars on Wyndham but 2 stars on Yelp. Instead, there was a pot of coffee and some packets of instant grits. There is absolutely no maid or housekeeping service whatsoever. Three days of wet towels because no one ever changed them, or made the bed. In fact, when we arrived in the room, someone's candy wrapper was still on the nightstand. I took a photo of it. The website also failed to mention that it is adjacent to the train tracks, so all night long you get to hear trains go by (along with their whistles). This regularly recurring event shakes the floor and bed several times during the night. The website also does not explain that the "Grand Ballroom" is across a very tiny courtyard from two of the rooms, so for two nights in a row we were forced to deal with noisy people partying and smoking in the courtyard, their shouts and cigarette smoke wafting up to our room. We couldn't sleep until after midnight both nights. Not once did we see any owner or manager. It's a shame that such a beautiful house is run by people who have no idea what hospitality means.
