Passed out often so weak she lived on the couch for months. kept losing consciousness. She felt she was dying. At 88 he insisted she take a stress test... the tech doing the exam was outraged a dr order this. When she called saying she didnt feel safe taking it Dr brown was furious and said to find another Dr. Refused to refill her regular prescription in the middle of the covid pandemic. She told him he was making her worse and all he cared about was ordering test to get money. When she stopped listening to him she started feeling better and having her strength back. I have no confidence in his care. He was very rude to my mother. Dont let an elderly relative see him alone.

If I could give zero stars I would. My youngest daughter experienced one of the worst medical…read moreexperiences in the ER today. As parents that live out of state, we are baffled by the lack of care that she received. She sat in the waiting room , after being taken back to get her vitals, and have a port put in her arm for dehydration, for 2 hours with severe vomitting and diarrhea symptoms. I assume the port was put in during her initial check knowing that fluids and anti nausea meds were needed. To say she was visibly upset during her hours spent waiting, is a complete understatement. I had multiple conversations with her during that time, and between the exhaustion of 12 plus hours of no sleep because of the symptoms, and the lack of any kind of knowledge of what was coming, she was beyond consolation. My older daughter that had dropped her off initially (that has 2 kids under 3 so she couldn't stay with herj , went back to see her sister sittting in the ER room with a port in her arm and a bag of vomit on her lap, as weak as could be. She demanded that her sister either be seen immediately, or that they needed to take the port out so she could take her to a different facility. One of the front desk nurses actually listened to her, and they were told that she would be the next patient taken back and that a "floating doctor" would see her asap, as all of the ER doctors were extremely busy. Said doctor arrived, and the meds were ordered. Pretty quickly, she was hooked up to an IV with fluids and anti nausea meds only to be told as the meds were being administered that she would have to sit in the waiting room with the IV for what would assumably be hours for the IV to be administered. I was actually on the phone with my daughters as the oldest one tried to advocate for her sick sister to find out if there was even just a chair that she could sit on someplace so that she wasn't out in the waiting room with the general population, only to be met with a resounding no. I could hear my youngest daughter sobbing out of stress, sickness, and exhaustion, They were told that if an open bed became available, she was eligible and what my daughter asked if her sister would get the first open bed, she was told no. My oldest daughter than told the person who was "caring" for her sister to take the IV out, during which time she was vomittng, and blood from the removal of the IV was all over her pants. The lack of empathy, the complete disregard for any dignity for my daughter, is beyond unacceptable. It is completely understood that the ER was extremely busy, we knew that was going or be the case with her going in. What we didn't know was the lack of integrity within this establishment

Provided excellent care from the moment I walked in. Who knew? That my life would change so…read moredrastically! The nurses were so caring and the doctors were good about meeting with me daily. I appreciated everything.

This was my first trip to a doctor's office in over a year, and until I was diagnosed with…read morediabetes, I NEVER visited one unless I was having very painful symptoms. I never got physicals (which I still won't), and never submitted to the recommended exams that men should get when we see age fifty in the rear view mirror. That being said, I didn't know what to expect when I arrived there as a new patient last Friday, but I was very intimidated. I was quite certain they would press me to undergo various examinations that I'd never had done, and in fact the very thought of them had literally made my skin crawl. (So I never will submit to them, and I'll deal with whatever consequences may befall me because of it). Exactly why I'm so adamant regarding this is beyond the scope of this review --- however it's well within in it to say that, although some of these procedures were recommended by the nurse and doctor, when I said "no", that was the end of it. And when I told the doctor that I also had gender preferences (requirements, actually) with respect to examinations, I was told they could accommodate me there also. I felt that was very respectful and it helped to ease my anxiety. About the only negative thing was that when I called to make my first appointment, I was given the names of two available doctors --- and of course I knew nothing about either one. Only when I asked, did they tell me that one of them was a female. I don't allow examinations by females, so if I had unwittingly selected one and hadn't realized it until I'd arrived to my appointment --- I'd have been very upset and would've likely been back to square-one regarding my treatment for what was then uncontrolled diabetes. But that issue was thankfully circumvented, and overall my visit to Family Practice Associates went very well!
