I also like how South Dayton Family Physicians have doctors on call, in case you have an emergency question during the night. They were able to get us an appointment the next day if we were sick. Our appointments are generally on time, and the nurses and staff are very nice and professional. I'm only putting 4 stars because we haven't gotten dreadfully sick yet, so we don't know how they perform in more tenuous circumstances. However, I like how they are trying to improve themselves by switching to an electronic documentation system.

Everyone who works there is so friendly - they really make my infusions something to look forward to. I schedule all my appointments at the infusion center early in the morning on weekends, because there are hardly ever other patients there at that time. Nurse Susie was in my room checking me in on computer. Pages of yes/no questions which I saw and waited for her to ask. She answered them all herself. I have no idea what her answers were. I tell her my right hand looks good but veins collapse and will she let me warm my hands under warm water. She has never heard of warming hands up!!! She picks being up from thumb. She is the WORST! I know people do not care for his bedside manner but he has been nothing but great with me. He does not spend tons of time with you unless you need it, which I think is great. I am near the end of my first pregnancy so he has been really great about getting me into my appointments on days that work for my schedule. He also is great at answering any questions or concerns that you may have. My biggest complaint with his office is that they always seem to be behind schedule even when your the first appointment in the morning. I do not know if that has to do with him just not being there on time or if it has to do with his staff. Other then that I do not think you could go wrong with Dr. Dorsey.
