Pleasantly surprised by the general tsos chicken combo meal (with fried rice and egg roll). The chicken was saucy and fried rice was flavorful. I also tried the hot and sour soup, which hit the spot. Egg rolls are exactly what you would expect. Pickup time was super quick, only 10 minutes. Portion was large enough to eat over 2 meals. There is actually a lot of seating inside. I would consider dining in to eat food fresh out of the kitchen rather than taking it to go. Stopped in here while passing through. The food was all perfect. We are a family of 5 with picky kids. We got Egg Drop Soup, Chicken Fried Rice, Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, General Toas Chicken and an Egg Roll. All amazing food! The service was great, friendly and quick and brought it to our table and helped us make room for all of us. Second there was no emotion, no sizzle in the back and counter person was impossible to hear. Food order was missing stuff , one dish wrong and a beef and Noodle dish lacking in beef. Wow what a difference 2 years make I work at a summer camp and usually go 2 or 3 times during the summer with a van of staff. I got here early this summer and went tonight with my wife. Ordered combo plates and have never been more disappointed. Food was tasteless and 3/4 rice. The lady that took our orders was rude. We ordered 2 combination plates and asked for two mustards. She said she could only give us one. When my wife persisted she gave us a second mustard. I went there for a quick lunch break, as soon as I walked in the door, all you can smell is grease, the table was coated in grease, the bathroom was locked and had to be opened with a knife, nothing looked very clean and did not smell clean at all. I ordered an eggroll, tasted burned, even if it did not look like it was burned, worst eggroll I have ever had...EVER!!!!!!. Ordered fried dumplings, the grease was just dripping from them, yes I know they are fried but this was ridicules!!! The General Tso Chicken was ok, the fried rice that came with it had no flavor whatsoever. I was told 5 minutes for lunch to come out, 15 minutes later, I finally got my food, thankfully my lunch break was not timed. I would no recommend this place at all, I would not be surprised if they were not shut down in the near future because of the cleanliness. Just my opinion, to each his own. Worst food EVER. We were brought here for take out by some people who said it was good but it was so so bad. We got wonton soup and general chicken with lo main. The wonton soup looked like it was in dish water literal dish water and kind of tasted like it too. The wontons had nothing in it and really no taste. Moving on. The general chicken did NOT taste like chicken I literally ate one piece and then tore another one open the meat was GREY. My lomain had no taste to it. This place is a hidden gem in quite literally the middle of nowhere. Matamoras is the last town nestled against the Delaware River that divides Pennsylvania from New York. On the other side of Matamoras is the barren land of Lake Wallenpaupack, so after driving 40 miles from Scranton already hungry, this was a welcomed stop on our way back to CT. My wife and youngest daughter stopped for food at Wendy's, but being road-trip tired of fast-food, my youngest daughter and I explored the other dining options in the the plaza. The sushi place was pass because of the bad reviews, and Yanni's didn't strike my fancy having Tikka Masala, Caesar Salad, and a Turkey Burger on the same menu. Hidden deep in the back of the park lot was Peking Garden and it was my last salvation before heading back to Wendy's. I decided to jump in with both feet. 10 minutes later I walked out with a pu-pu platter and some crab rangoon for my daughter and I to split while trekking the last 200 miles home. some of the BEST chinese food i've had. Shrimp Toast, Fried Wontons, Egg Rolls, BBQ Ribs, Teriyaki Beef & Chicken were all delicious. The teriyaki chicken was the highlight. The crab rangoons were flavorful and creamy.
