Previously, we took the Freda B on the Wildlife Morning Sail in 2024, which was also fantastic. What makes the Freda B special is the crew. The vessel itself is gorgeous--even the "head" is great! From the moment you board and are greeted by the crew, you know you're in good hands. The safety instructions are thorough, and the crew immediately puts you at ease before setting off. Whether you have a clear night or a little fog (like tonight), the skies are beautiful, the Golden Gate Bridge is magical, and San Francisco twinkles in the distance. The crew meets your every need with kindness, excellent service, and genuine interest in you as a passenger. They're also an interesting bunch--just ask them about themselves! Hot (chocolate!) and cold beverages are available for purchase, including adult beverages. For out of towners...Wear and bring layers. Jacket + sweater/fleece, long pants, beanie hat, gloves if you have them. Blankets available onboard. This is SF Bay 12 months a year - always chilly and the sail is worth every layer of clothing. The tube they gave us was already torn before we even used it. As soon as we got on it, it ripped completely, even though we used it normally. Instead of taking responsibility for giving us damaged equipment, they blamed us and tried to charge us for it. They first demanded $230, and only after we argued with them did they suddenly lower the charge to $170, which makes no sense if we were actually responsible. I would not recommend renting from this place. Poor customer service, damaged equipment, and unfair charges. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Our captain, Rowan, was personable and pleasant, and gave us space to say goodbye as we needed. I know Captain Kirk's couldn't control the weather, but if they did, it couldn't have been a better day. Beautiful sunshine, the water was sparkling, and our loved one had the send-off he wanted. The boat? Brand new and comfy as heck. Perfect for cruising around and soaking up the sun. This was my first crack at wakesurfing, and let me just say, the instructors were AMAZING. Super patient and helpful, they totally broke it down for me and got me riding those waves in no time. Highly recommend these guys, especially if you're a wakesurfing newbie like me.
