I don't think we could trust any other team to do it, since Peanut is a very particular dog that maintains a list of frenemies in the neighborhood and barks at crows and UPS trucks. He's certainly not the easiest dog to care for, but Kelsey and team are experts and their reviews show it. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. It was the first time I had Kelsey come over to feed my cats for the weekend. During her visit to my home, she found that there were hundreds of ants trying to eat the cat food!! Kelsey totally went above and beyond to clean up the mess, toss out the food that had ants all over, even vacuumed the ants, and moved the cat food to a different location. I came home tired after the trip and was so glad that I did not have to deal with any mess. I have been using PeeWees Playdates now for about 1 1/2 years for my kitty, Parker. Our three dogs normally have a difficult time warming up to people, but they immediately loved the two sitters who come to our house. As a family we find Kelsey the be the only person we can trust and turn to when It comes to looking after our cat Ash . He took to her immediately and interacts with her with no timidness. Kelsey goes above and beyond to make sure everything is going smooth when we are away even to the point of getting unexpected packages in for us. When we were away once and a wild fire broke out she assured us if the evacuation notice came she would scoop up Ash for us as we are close by to her, even making sure the outside water for next doors cat was refreshed in case he needed fresh water. It is so comforting to know that we have the freedom to travel, because the staff of PeeWee's Playdates is available to do such a great job. Everyone is reliable and friendly, even when recently they had to pick up broken glass and such after the earthquake when we were out of town. ;) When we come home our dogs are not stressed by our absence. There is always a detailed note explaining how the visits went. Our instructions are followed, and in the rare case where they could not be followed, there's an explanation as to why (that always makes perfect sense.) The highest praise I can give is to honestly say that when the need or desire to travel comes up, we don't hesitate for a moment because we know the dogs have a reliable caregiver on whom we can count. I just got back from a long weekend in San Francisco and Kelsey took care of my dog, Rollo while I was gone. She had spent an overnight with him in the past, so I knew things would be fine. But Kelsey's care for Rollo this weekend FAR exceeded my expectations. Last weekend Rollo was at the vet unexpectedly to be treated for pancreatitis (aka "garbage gut"). When I picked him up Monday night he seemed completely back to normal, but I knew I'd have to ask Kelsey to feed him his special prescription food and give him his medications. No problem. Then, literally 15 minutes before I was scheduled to leave for the airport to San Francisco, Rollo vomited for the first time since his hospital stay. I was in a panic because I was afraid he was going to relapse and would have to go to the vet again. I considered canceling my trip to stay with him, but decided to go and just come home early if I had to. I contacted Kelsey and from that first text she helped put my mind at ease. She promised to keep me updated on how he was doing and to spend as much extra time with him as she could. Happily, Rollo didn't get sick again, but having Kelsey with him allowed me to relax and enjoy my trip to SF. She updated me several times a day on how he was doing, set up a mini-doggie play date for him and spent extra time with him during her visits. After years of customer service, it's true that people are quick to complain; positive feedback is gold & actually represents numerous more satisfied customers. In 2013, we traveled to the East Coast for 10 days & Kelsey took care of our beloved, spoiled 5 year old Chihuahua mix & 13 year old longhaired domestic cat. We gave her detailed instructions on feeding, grooming, & walking, which she followed to a T. Both are skittish, timid rescues, but they absolutely warmed up to her. We were delighted to get periodic text photos & updates, allowing us to breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy our vacation thousands of miles away. Kelsey even tidied up, took out the trash, & left a follow up 1-page note about her visits. You could tell from all her professional communication that she is passionate about her care of animals, and she treats them like her own. I remember my wife having mom guilt & saying "wow, Kelsey gives Bitsy better walks than I do!" Kelsey also did splendidly on our shorter getaways, taking care of our geriatric kitty. We had a family emergency in July 2016, and although this is a peak pet sitting season, she quickly rearranged things so that her team could cover us at the last minute. We were so touched by her willingness to go the extra mile for her customers. We left detailed instructions again for our now 8 year old senior citizen pup & 17 year old geriatric cat. We always worry about our older pets: the change in routine & absence of their beloved mama & dada can affect their health. Predictably, the dog's tummy was upset & Kelsey cleaned the messes & texted us about it. I texted her back that an easy fix is to stop feeding the wet food & stick to the dry food regimen. She replied that it worked like a charm. Both pet babies were just fine, & Kelsey texted us to see if we humans were ok; she reassured us that she could come back if our flights were delayed. She sent us photos of our babies, who were obviously eating up Kelsey's affection & attention. We returned home to a clean house & a detailed 1-page summary of her visits. Her concern & care for her clients and pets is just beyond ordinary! We trust Kelsey so much, we allow her to keep our house key in case of an emergency. She has been nothing but professional, kind, hardworking, and competent. Her prices are super reasonable, and better than having your poor pet stay in a pet motel/kennel without the comforts & familiarity of home. Kelsey makes home visits to take care of them. PeeWee's has been caring for our dachshunds for three years. Prior to finding PeeWee's, we tried boarding our dogs at three different vets, a big pet store, and a privately-owned boarding facility. We also used another privately-owned pet sitter to come to our house. Through the years, our pets never did well with any of these options, the worst result being sick dogs upon our return. One unexpected result of boarding at the big pet store was their training of our dogs to pee on the floor as there was no place for them to go out onto grass or gravel. Not good when we got home. For three years, we've had no stress due to leaving our dachshunds home. PeeWee's comes whenever we have long work days or when we go away on extended weekends or vacations. We never have to worry. PeeWee's comes as scheduled and leaves a note after each visit. The water bowl is cleaned and the water changed, the food bowls are cleaned after use, the outside is cleaned up, and lights are turned on/off. We can even text with special non-pet requests for things we may have forgotten to do at home. A side benefit: The best pictures of our dachshunds are taken by PeeWee's. I have two large dogs, one of which is scared of people. I was concerned that my dog might react negatively to someone she didn't know.
